I loved what you were saying about how we need to know God to properly read scripture. It easy to misinterpret the Bible when we don’t understand the character of God first. Studies are so useful for that!
I am glad that resonated with you as well! That has been something I have been slowly learning over the last two years. We shouldn't read the bible with a "Me or I Focus" rather a God focus. What does the Word reveal about God not does what this say about me?
Hi Brooke! This video was such a blessing to me. Thank you for sharing your heart about the Lord and all the wonderful resources you are using to walk closer to Him. It's very inspiring! It's been a while since I have memorized scripture but that will be something that I add to my quiet time this year. God bless you and your family as you put Him first in your lives.
Loved seeing your video and plans for this year, your encouraging me to do a video too and get my mind more centered around being intentional about my study.
I love this, what an awesome morning basket. I absolutely love New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp. That is also a goal of mine this year is to broaden my prayers and pray for others more than myself! The power of a praying wife/mother are 2 of my favorite books! Don't make me count to three was so helpful in raising and disciplining my kids. Tons of great resources you've shared!
Oh thank you for sharing your experience with those books! It’s refreshing to hear others have loved books you are reading. Have you read any other of Ginger Hubbards books?
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed the attributes study. I am anxiously waiting to dive in. I never purchased anything for the Bible Recap, I used the plan outline on the Youversion app and listened to the podcast
Greeting, Sister! I know this video is a year old and I just seen it on here. I wanted to share some thoughts that I wrote up especially pertaining to the Bible Project. The Bible Project/The Bible Recap/Tara-Leigh Cobble Review Tara-Leigh Cobble has some good things to say and I wanted to do further research on where she stands in her doctoral issues. Some of the places to go are Genesis 1 and Romans 8 and you can get a pretty good idea of their beliefs. I might have had small problems with Genesis 1 but in Romans 8 I looked at her resources on the podcast episode and also listened. Tara-Leigh Cobble is definitely a Calvinist. Desiring God, Arthur pink, etc, all have Calvinist ways of believing. Calvinism for those who are unaware is the belief that Christ only died for those he "predestined". What people don't understand is that predestined means that Christ died so that we can be saved from sin; not predestined for a few to believe in His name! In Genesis we see God's plan and we weren't even born yet. This is predestination. I just want everyone to be careful and not fall for this false doctrine. Some of the other stuff she says is pretty good, but just beware of Calvinistic beliefs. And also of The Bible Project of which Cobble quotes a lot of. They believe that hell is not a place rather it's the hell that you bring to planet Earth. In other words, God is not going to send you to a literal hell. A LOT of people follow The Bible Project, but is that a good thing? Have you really examined their theology? "Hell, and that word and what that refers to, is not some place other than heaven and earth. "It's a place where people are sustained by God's mercy and care, but God allows them the dignity of not being in a relationship with Him if they don't want." "Heaven & Earth Q&R" Mackie and Collins, Feb 12, 2016 bibleproject.com/podcast/heaven-earth-q-r/transcript/ And yes, I am praying for her. If everyone else can please do the same! People obviously listen to her and we need people who have platforms to be prayed for.

I'm working in my plan for 2023. Starting a little late on it, so I'm hoping to have a plan set for the new year.

I done the attributes study and it is fantastic! I loved it. I've been wanting the Daily Recap but I wasn't sure what it was like.
