My failure is that I gave these people control over a specific area of my life & lacked the courage to take back ownership when I was being taken advantage of. Then again, after spending too much time with other people (in social gatherings and such) I feel like my ''social tank'' goes empty and I need time for myself. I think every individual needs to find their own balance in terms of ''social time'' and ''alone time''.
For me, I need significantly more ''alone time''. The thing is, when you are alone you can really focus and develop on your own spirituality and energy. When you interact with someone else, you absorb their energy, and thus your energy is not ''pure'' anymore if that makes sense. Now absorbing someone elses energy is not necessarily a bad thing, but (this might sound harsh), most people just don't have an energy that is desirable to have.
I just want to be more in touch with my own connection to spirit/god/however you wanna call it, and I believe the best way to do that is when there is nothing/noone interfering in this process.
