@khanacademy Special purpose entity is the same thing as special purpose vehicle right? Were the SPV also the cause of the credit crunch? The rating agencies gave these mortgages good rating and when the housing owners couldn't pay their mortgages this system collapsed, right? I took a course in college about the financial crisis and really enjoy these videos, they are a good review and give a different point of view... Thanks Sal!

that's a very broad subject, all of those countries have unique situations
