Score - *9* Usually the judges are very generous with Chris but thought they were harsh tonight, okay his frame wasnt as good as his American Smooth, but this was his most technically demanding routine yet and he didn't put a step wrong, the footwork was perfect, the hopscotch and pendeulum was perfect and his locksteps were fantastic. I don't think the judges gave enough credit here for getting into character and bringing the musical to life because they said it for everyone else but ignored it for these two, Dianne is so sweet for admitting she went wrong, bless her, they're such a great partnership 💕
Generous with Chris? Are we watching the same show? He's been way undermarked every week (and at the bottom of leaderboard several times), except for Blackpool where he scored 37.

I always look at the total leaderboard score and praise on its own means nothing (still fresh how Craig said that their People's Choice was a musical-level performance and gave them a 7)
Dianne I love how your joy and immense proudness comes out at the end of the dance. Honestly watching you and Chris dance is so joyful and makes me teary eyed every time. This had everything, I love the playful acting from Chris and especially seeing him get lifted!! 😂😂 he looked so happy during that dance and his footwork is so immaculate The judges may not have your backs but we do. It’s not as some claim a “sympathy vote”… it’s inspiration, overcoming adversity, hard work, fun and overall a wonderful friendship vote ❤❤❤

Absolutely patronising, deferred for someone because of the disability. Rose was a beautiful dancer. She deserved to win. Chris isn’t a fantastic dancer.
He's had no dance training. He's never seen the dances performed. He can't see his professional for visual cues. "Not a good dancer" - really? His frame is not perfect but his footwork is always impeccable. The standard has been very high this year with Montel, Tasha, Sara and JB all reaching levels that would see them as strong contenders to win in any season. But what we are watching every week from Chris and Dianne is absolutely extraordinary, almost superhuman. No one, absolutely no one thought they would approach this level. I was expecting a bit of a car crash to be honest and wondered why on earth he was doing. I was wrong and am now suitably humbled and for me there can only be one winner this season. If that upsets you then you should watch professional dance competitions rather than a Saturday evening light entertainment show.

This was outstanding. The best dance yet, such light light footwork, amazing. How Chris moved over the floor, got his timing for the bit where he was lying on the floor. Dianne's lifts and kicks, expecially at the end. Chris had to catch her and put his arms out at the exact moment. He did. His elbow just dropped for a few seconds, and that was worth deducting points? Musical week is supposed to be about musicals and interpreting the dance to the music. They both told a story. It was joyful. It was a 40 dance, no question

Firstly thank you Chris and Diane for an uplifting quickstep that brought joy, pure joy. IMO and I am going to be honest about how I feel, while Tasha and Sarah are good technical dancers and I can't take that away from them. JB, Montel have improved as the series has gone on and Pete has discovered the enjoyment of dance none of which I can take away from them either. For me none of them bring the joy that the partnership, chemistry and anticipation each week that Chris and Diane bring when I see them dance. Both Chris and Diane should stand tall in all they have achieve each week. Thank you to you both.

I honestly think this was his best dance. His characterization, soft knees, impeccable footwork -- all incredible! A quick drop in posture (that lasted mere seconds) shouldn't have docked his score down to a 32! Hope the public saves him!

It was quite appalling when the week after Chris's CC (and THAT VT), a fully-abled dance-trained Sarah was weeping about how she didn't get a good paying job until her mid 30-ies. I was like WHAT. Ah, and then she scored above Chris for a mediocre routine.
This was brilliant, particularly his synchronicity with the background dancers. Agreed about frame and posture, hopefully Diane can help him get to where he needs to be on that and he'll be spot on!
I'm tearing up again cos he cannot see how good he looks on the dance floor. That was sensational and sensationally undermarked again. What a partnership. Brilliant both of you.
To everyone who thinks that Chris should have done better (judges and others): just put on a blindfold and try to learn a choreography from someone you can't see. And then perform it without any reference of where you are on the dancefloor, or where the other dancers are. Chris and Dianne are my heroes for sure. Can't vote fo them outside the UK, but I'm cheering them on as much as I can!
I have watched this multiple times! The lightness of his feet, the confidence when he drops to the floor, the incredible ability of Dianne to fill her partner with confidence an the trust between th two of them! It’s a ten from me! 🏆

I think this might be the best dance he’s done. It was quick and bouncy, the comedy was really well integrated and he coped really well even with the background dancers who could be quite unnoticeable at times for him. Honestly, he did amazingly. 9
They should win really ! Also as a previous non dancer I believe this is what the show is about. Others have a dance background, so never so impressive. These two are the winners of the show for me this year.

Our scores: Me: 9 Diya: 8 Kelsey: 8 Owen: 9 34/40 Frame (again) and one or two mistakes, but THATS IT. I’ve seen people say they think the judge’s have forgotten Chris is blind, but could you blame them? He’s absolutely fantastic, this was unbelievably difficult choreography and I once again praise Dianne for pushing him beyond what anyone (including himself) thought he was capable of doing. Very fun performance, and I’m interested to see how he’ll deal with 2 performances next week.
Can people stop going on about his frame like they know what it means because they’ve heard the judges say it… without being able to see you aren’t ever going to have the perfect frame but in his case it’s irrelevant as the boy can dance and what he is achieving should be blowing everybody’s minds!! Blindfold yourself and just walk into the kitchen to get something.. now try learning a fricking dance routine.
I have no idea what they mean..... To me, Chris is absolutely brilliant. To learn what he has in such short time frames. I couldn't do it and I am not blind. He is an amazing dancer and to get to amazing from zero is an enormous achievement.
Thank you, yes! It's well know that people with vision impairment will stoop forwards to protect themselves, he's had sight issues since he was 6 years old, it's probably impossible for his skeleton to stand bolt upright by this point!
Now that was Chris's best since the Couple's Choice. Wow, I thought it was good, but it surprised me and just go real great! He hasn't had that great of technique since the Couple's Choice. I liked the Paso, but Chris is a Ballroom boy!
They are both remarkable & deserve to win he's determined to live a normal life & Dianne is a genius helping him to do something so special. When I hear some of the judges cruel comments I want to tell them to wear a blindfold for a week ,then you can walk in his shoes
Wow I absolutely loved the Quickstep by Chris and Dianne to the musical song You're the Top from the musical Anything Goes alongside the dancers which was absolutely brilliant and amazing and I absolutely loved it. I'm tearing up again cos he cannot see how good he looks on the dance floor. That was sensational and sensationally undermarked again. What a partnership. Brilliant both of you.
To everyone who thinks that Chris should have done better (judges and others): just put on a blindfold and try to learn a choreography from someone you can't see. And then perform it without any reference of where you are on the dancefloor, or where the other dancers are. Chris and Dianne are my heroes for sure. Can't vote fo them outside the UK, but I'm cheering them on as much as I can!

I have watched this multiple times! The lightness of his feet, the confidence when he drops to the floor, the incredible ability of Dianne to fill her partner with confidence an the trust between th two of them! It’s a ten from me! 🏆

What can you not love ❤❤about this amazing couple. The judges obviously weren't watching what i was watching and deffo need to go to Specsavers!!! How Dianne teaches Chris to be so great is beyond me. Chris's foot work, positioning, rhythm, timing and lifts are amazing. Dianne should be renamed Dame Dianne for all the hard work, commitment and the genuine love that she brings to dance and to inclusion for all. Yous are deffo THE TOP!!!...the top of your game!!! I think this might be the best dance he’s done. It was quick and bouncy, the comedy was really well integrated and he coped really well even with the background dancers who could be quite unnoticeable at times for him. Honestly, he did amazingly. 9

Frame (again) and one or two mistakes, but THATS IT. I’ve seen people say they think the judge’s have forgotten Chris is blind, but could you blame them? He’s absolutely fantastic, this was unbelievably difficult choreography and I once again praise Dianne for pushing him beyond what anyone (including himself) thought he was capable of doing. Very fun performance, and I’m interested to see how he’ll deal with 2 performances next week.

Can people stop going on about his frame like they know what it means because they’ve heard the judges say it… without being able to see you aren’t ever going to have the perfect frame but in his case it’s irrelevant as the boy can dance and what he is achieving should be blowing everybody’s minds!! Blindfold yourself and just walk into the kitchen to get something.. now try learning a fricking dance routine.

I have no idea what they mean..... To me, Chris is absolutely brilliant. To learn what he has in such short time frames. I couldn't do it and I am not blind. He is an amazing dancer and to get to amazing from zero is an enormous achievement.
Thank you, yes! It's well know that people with vision impairment will stoop forwards to protect themselves, he's had sight issues since he was 6 years old, it's probably impossible for his skeleton to stand bolt upright by this point!

Now that was Chris's best since the Couple's Choice. Wow, I thought it was good, but it surprised me and just go real great! He hasn't had that great of technique since the Couple's Choice. I liked the Paso, but Chris is a Ballroom boy!
