Thank you so much for this - I've used Miro before, but you opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn't realize were available. I am going to use this for our Sailboat retro next week so much easier to do it here than to try to recreate on Teams whiteboard.
Your team will love the upcoming retro :) I never used Teams whiteboard but I've heard it's not that good, a bit clunky, and is missing some important features
Glad you liked it! I really like making this ones and I'm thinking of adding new tutorials like this one as additional type of content on my channel, so it's good to know that it's something that interests my subscribers. Any suggestions for what other tutorials I can create?
You should have like a "More" button at the bottom of the left side panel where you can see additional tools and you should be able to add other tools there
This video is very helpful Daria, Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and experience with us. Question for you, I'm trying to do a team building activity in miro where I create individual cards for each team member with some questions and then have them complete and hide their cards with maybe a cover before the main day. Do you have any tips? And also will love to decorate these cards with fun images 😀
I cover some of my notes sometimes. You can just put another sticky note on top of it or a rectangular shape. If you don't want other people to be able to see, you can go over and lock those notes on top yourself and unlock them once the workshop starts. People can add any images to Miro by uploading them. They used to have a Google Image Search function, but I think it is no longer available. So participants would need to go find the image first before putting it into the board. Hope this helps.
Oh no, I didn't know that you can't use those. I believe there are free online timers, maybe some of those can be shared online so that everyone knows how much time they have
Yes, it is: miro.com/pricing/ Free plan: Includes unlimited members for anyone getting started with Miro. What’s included: 3 editable boards, Premade templates, Core integrations, Basic attention management
Thanks Daria, the Video is very helpful!
Nice. You can also select the objects and then choose "Bring to front (PgUp)" from the menu.
Good point!

Thanks for the video tutorial, Daria. I don't see the icon finder on my Miro. Any thoughts?

Hi Daria,
Why is anyone with the link is disabled? What can i do to enable that? I don't have export option aswell
Can you explain in more detail what seems to be the problem?
Thank you for this video..
PS: if you use free version you couldn't use the timer and vote features. It is a sad news for me :)
