what about the OHL cup the tournament is only for the top 20 minor midget AAA teams all of Ontario the teams chosen are from the alliance omha and gthl alumni Conner mcdavid, john Tavares, josh ho sang, and many more, and don cherry is an ambassador for the OHL cup

Minnesota high school hockey tournament is so crazy that schools participating close because students won't show up for class.... they're all at the game.
The MN High School State Tourney is amazing, I played there last year with Northfield HS. It was our first tourney and the atmosphere was crazy.

@@zanepemberton3598 this year, our high school girls team (AA) made it but lost 9-0 in the first game. Kinda hurts but they won consolation (you prob know which high school I go to now)

My team has made it 12 of the 13 years, And we added state title number 4 this. (A)
I played in and won the NEPSAC tournament but attending the Minnesota State Tournament was something special.
When you've got national level play by play guys like Gary Thorne and Doc Emeric saying that calling games at the MN State HS hockey tourney was on their bucket lists, that should tell you something. Both those guys were THE voices for the Stanley Cup games for the past 25 years. That they both asked to come call games here is awesome. If they're in town during the tourney, NHL players that are here to play the Wild always make a trip to go watch.
I couldn’t believe that the minnesota state tourney ranked higher than Quebec but I came to the comments and it looks like you’re right. I never had a clue, gotta get to that tourney one day.
I am from Minnesota and while I was in Florida the Tampa Bay Lightning was playing the MN Wild in March. My section I think had the most snow birds there. Somebody yelled Lakeville just scored and now is on top. The NHL game was getting kind of boring and people were more excited on getting updates from the boys High School tourney. I was walking to my car and a few of the locals asked about that tourney. I said it is the super bowl, world series and Stanley cup rolled into one. If any of those games were being played at the same time all the MN TV stations would have the HS Tourney. I remember as far back as 1963 watching the games on WTCN TV. Now they are on 45 TV.
Still is a great tournament. But the two class format kinda ruined things.
As someone who has been lucky enough to play in State in Minnesota, I can tell you it's by far the best experience of my life. Even getting beat early on by Northern teams, just being there with the fans and energy is indescribable

I love going to watch the brick tourney in Edmonton. Those 9 and 10 years olds are amazing! And the atmosphere is great they play games live on the t.v at the bars in the mall and give tournament updates on the radio and television stations
Captain Canada yeah what an awesome tournament! You should also check out The Show from Super Series - it’s for those best hockey players the following summer after the Brick tournament! Playing in both the Brick and The Show back to back is pretty much the best exposure you can get as a youth player!
Captain Canada wait u guys like that, in Chicago the team never does well (2004 team didn’t win a game and is one of the best talent years in state history) and we just forget about it

Ive played in many tournaments, but the international silver stick was my favourite. As a team from toronto hoping on a coach bus to port huron was electrifying. There was so many aspects of the tournament which made it fun, like the Opening cerimonies to the pin trading i had such a fun time, but it was also very cool to meet players from teams like alaska and tampa bay who traveled so much to get to where we played. Overall 10/10 tourny to bad our gthl rivals won the Stick :(
I'm now 16 and played in a few of these tournaments and I would say the Brick was such an awesome experience especially at that age, so many memories

My son played Silver Stick in Pelham Ontario last month with his Long Island Arrows team in the Atom AE/Squirts division . They are pretty good at hockey up there eh . Great tournament . Well run and fun !

I got invited, but I couldn't go because my family was too poor. My brother got lucky because my stepdad paid for him to go and he had a great time

Interesting list. Fargo is an unconscionable omission. Kids love the pin trading, it's huge, the city goes all out, and the level of play is very high once you get down to the final 16 teams.
I'm admittedly not familiar with Canadian offerings, so I preface my comments with that limitation. It's comforting in a way to see so many of the modern corporate events on your list. The for-profit element - and entry markup that comes with it - should result in a superior experience.
My preference lies with events that have a lot more longevity. One on this list was new in 2013 and The Show is also a recent development. (I've been to The Show and agree it is excellent.) An example that could be included is the Edina Invitational, now in its 48th year. It was called "The Granddaddy of them All" over 20 years ago. Over time it has narrowed in scope at PW & Bantam as other events proliferated, which only increased the strength of field. Highly regarded Tier I teams from around the U.S. typically have average finishes, indicative of the high level of play.

That is true as I have attended it myself but i've heard that the Quebec Pee-wee International is on a whole nother level. I am going up there in a couple days I tell you what it was like.
OneHockey Tourneys really are fun. So are CCM Chicago’s. My favorite tournaments ever.

The CAN/AM Hockey Challenge Cup in Lake Placid is an incredible experience. Opening Ceremony with the Olympic Torch. Pond Hockey Across the Street. The CAN/AM Skills Competitions. Bobsledding rides on the Olympic track. The Olympic Center itself. Lake Placid itself. Hotels and Restaurants all within walking distance. I'm pretty surprised it wasn't on here.
I remember in middle school at lunch and gym the high school tourney was on tv and we got to watch it
North American Hockey Classic AAA ... My Son played in that tournament... 33 Hours to get there , was worth the trip 👍🏼👊🏼

I played in the Quebec Peewee, Hands down the best tournament not just because of the hockey, but because of the experience and memories.
I just got back from the peewee Quebec tourney. It was so fun. I scored at the Videotron
Squirt international in Fargo? It's going on rn and it goes for like three weekends cause of all the teams! And it makes all the other levels play out of town (including mine I'm 14u) cause the arenas are all filled up, it's really fun to work all the dibs though!

My team is in the silver stick tourney this weekend. I play for the ajax knights minor midget A. We are first in our loop by 7 points. We have a 14-2-2 record so we have a chance to go pretty far.

I’m going to the Quebec international tournoi and I can’t wait
I played in the silver stick tournament we won the Reginals then we went to play in the finals and we won in the finals. We played AA peewee and it was so fun. The scored for the final games were 7-1 in Nevada and 6-0 in port Huron
I’ve gotten to the second round in silver sticks I played in the ccm world invite back when Bauer sponsored it. I’m surprised the Bell Cup wasn’t here though.
My team lost the Regionals 1-0 but got invited to the International because we were 2nd on the MyHockeyRankings. We ended up winning the International Tournament. Great experience

Hockey night in Boston... is a tournament where high school aged players can be showcased in front of prep schools. It’s regional teams and is kinda like a little league World Series for hockey
i played in the breakout, silver sticks, and in the quebec tourney. The Q was an experience of a lifetime
I don’t care who wins the Minnesota High School State tournament, as long as it’s not Edina. My school team sucks and would get their asses kicked if they ever went. It’s amazing how many people go, sometimes they have more people for one game in this tournament than some nhl teams do.
Kimberly Olson seems every league/contest pool has that one team that keeps getting the rings. Isn’t just a national pro sports thing (cough, NFL Patriots, cough, NHL Penguins)

I played for St. Paul Johnson, and we played against Edina (East). They were no.1 we were like 15. We had a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd and the final was 5-3 Edina. One goal was an empty netter.
I was in the cup this year and we lost in the semi’s but I still had a great time

I have played in the Chicago invite tournament And placed 4th. I have also played in the Peewee tournament And accually won the AAA division. Peewee was the one which really showed me how powerful the hockey fans can be. There was about 10000 people on the finale. It was beutiful

Calgary minor hockey week 2007 holds the official record, before that Edmonton minor hockey week was the biggest, now the Americans are making an attempt to break the record in December 2018 at the OneHockey tourney in Minnesota. Brick invitational is by far the best most elite though.
