      That head to be properly fixed needs to be sent to a machinist and have the valve seat resurfaced one little Nick or dip or deviation in that and that new valve that you are going to install will burn out in no time we checked that you could have bought a used head for the price of the rocker arms

      You can’t lap those valves joe. They are titanium and when you lap titanium valves it ruins them and they get burnt after being run at operating temperature. You need a whole new set of valves at the least, but I’d get a head and new valves.

    I hope you checked the valve guide bud. One of the most common reasons a valve gets dropped other than a rocker arm adjuster backing off is a worn out valve guide allowing the valve to wobble bad enough it wears thin near the bottom of the stem causing it to snap. If you don't replace the guide it will do it again to the new valve.

    You might also want to measure the length of the 3 remaining valves and compare those to the new one to see if the old ones are stretched and getting ready to break as well. Please explain to us why?? Why why why is it so important to put those motors back together all freaking dirty nasty like that..

    • @2vintage
      @2vintage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean them if you want to to. I spray them with brake cleaner to get all the heavy stuff off but im not spending hours cleaning it for this $350 quad lol.

      @@2vintage All you have to do is soak them for 10 minutes.. Or parts clean... I mean why not you do it to the Plastics.. The motor is more important than them.. Keep up the good work you do have a great channel..
