    Awesome video. Even though my business is built around Solidworks models, I use it infrequently enough that I lose my familiarity quickly. I go through phases of deeply intensive CAD work while designing my parts, and then just order and have them built for years.
    This will hugely streamline my re-learning curve, and as I embark on another one of these CAD binges with a new product in development, you have solidified my decision to buy the enterprise version. Many thanks for adding the hot key programming data at the end of the video. Not even their website gets into how to program it. I thought that it would be just so intuitive they didn’t need to, but your description really helps with the understanding of how to program it.

    Nice video! Thanks for the effort. I just ordered Enterprise and i think most of the money i spent is much more about the fun part. I am pretty sure it worths every penny because motivation is everything for me.

    Greetings from The Future! Didn't come across your review until now in late 2022, but it is still relevant and helpful in my decision to get the Enterprise kit. FYI, I expect to use it in a number of different modeling and rendering apps. Wish I'd come along in time to get the hefty discount. Thanks for the insights!

    I am using the two buttons on SpaceMouse compact for copy and paste in windows explorer. Not needed too often, but nice to have.

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the best part those buttons are customizable and thus you can change them. Quick Tip: They are also program dependent, so you can make them unique to a given program in Windows as well.

      I would definitely go for the enterprise, given the fact you also get a screen + a nice wrist rest.

    Good video, even though my initial thought after watching it that I am better to stick with my keyboard than changing it to SpaceMouse Enterprise. I don't have a feeling that SpaceMouse Enterprise will make my work easier and more productive.

      @@with-Aryan Thank you so much for the reply. Like you I've been using SW for sometime now, (since 98 . If I remember it was 98 Plus) and still using it (but now only as a teacher) For professional work I'm using fusion, (SW has a Very expensive comercial license that I can't justify professionally)

    Back in the 90s my boss wouldn’t spend £25 on a three button mouse (for object snap in AutoCAD) I ended up having to b bit out myself, the time that one button saved back in the day, also because I use the keyboard a lot anything that would save me one click instead of two, I’d chase after it, you sound just like me lol, any little save is important to you lol

    Been using the cheapest 3DCONNEXION 3D device for years now. To the point where I barely remember how do maneuver without it. Works with Microsoft Office stuff too. I don’t like using SW without it anymore. Interesting aside here. The 3D mouse came with a seat if Solid Edge that our parent company decided we needed. Some things SE does better, overall SW is much better.

    Thanks for the detailed review! I have a question, is it possible to just set one key for “ add an edge loop”? Usually, I have to hold on shift and press MRB and select from a pop-up menu.

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jess, technically yes but I don;t know how. Because you can add and create any custom macro that you want. Only you have to figure out the macro that does select the loop. I couldn't find it but if you do, then you can add it.

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good day, you do not need a 3D mouse to design anything in SOLIDWORKS, it only helps you rotate your model instead of using your normal mouse, since in that case you can avoid excessive strain on one hand.

    Not worth it at all. No SolidWorks sketch support context (you will not have Sketch tools when switching form part to sketching), button layout is horrible, especially mod buttons like ctrl alt shift, no dedicated ctrl+z, v, c, y buttons, escape key is too small. IF you are working a lot on one model, and need to rotate it a lot, it will be for you, but if you are doing 20-40 models a day, for living, you will get a lot, lot, lot more time saved with good keyboard layout and macros, maybe some external macro device like stream deck or other brand alike

    • @with-Aryan
      @with-Aryan  ปีที่แล้ว

      The main benefit is a ton of people over-strain their middle finger since that is the finger used for rotating in SOLIDWORKS, and thus this tool helps off-load your right hand from working so hard, and thus it not only speeds you up, but many people who work on a daily basis as CAD designers, get issues with their finger tendons.
