    Thank you for your wise words regarding Reggae music and exclusivity. .I am grateful for ska, reggae,dub music and the path it has paved for musicians. I love dubbing on my mixer and it is therapy for myself. Listen with your heart

    Met Winston on Sunday at UB40s Brian Travers Memorial event.
    Very interesting to listen to especially about the origins of reggae 👌

    Must have been over 30 years I searched for a song used to play on Ja radio back in the day. Swore it was Nina Simone or someone like that.
    Turns out the song 'Woman' was by Billy Cole, Winston's Soul/RnB alter ego.
    Mind still blown.

    Sorry Mr. Francis at the beginning you got it wrong and forgot. The people you named contributed to Ska,not even Rock Steady much less Reggae. All the musicians you named did contribute a lot in the early days but not Reggae,not even the great Byron Lee made much contribution to Reggae,he was bent an popularizing Calypso in Jamaica so he did not play Reggae that were his own composition.
