After the Astros came back from 3 down in the 9th after a base hit on their *_last strike_* I was reminded that no game is over until the last out is recorded. And Oscar Gonzalez did it here just a few days later. On their last. strike.
That was great hitting by Gonzalez that pitch was 6 inches off the plate and he hit a line drive through the pitcher, 99 out of 100 times that pitch and that swing is an out, or strike out, impressive hitting u can't even get mad at the pitcher he made his pitch
not the best group of individual players but our pitching is always elite, our hitting is timely, we put the ball in play, field well and that all brings together one hell of a team.. helps to get hot at the right time as well, didn't do it with a monster payroll either like the rest of the teams
I heard a reporter on CLE sports radio talk about Costas during our run in the 90’s. He said Costas talked nothing but smack about Cleveland behind the scenes, total Yankee bias & overrated.

I’m so proud of my Cleveland team. I live in SC and am so excited to be able to watch them bc of these play off divisions. Otherwise we don’t get to see them in the south. Hamilton makes it so exciting to listen to.

A few weeks ago during our 5 game series against the Twins, Hammy said something along the lines of, "No one, even in the baseball world, will know just how good these kids are because they're not paying attention, and that's going to be a huge advantage going into October." I've been listening to every game this season, and I honestly think we have the potential to win literally every single game against every team. Even in our losses, we're loading bases in multiple innings and just barely missing opportunities. All 9 guys in the lineup can hit. Over half the lineup can turn base hits into doubles, and most of them will go first to third. Teams aren't used to playing against this. And these guys are YOUNG. Next year's ban on defensive shift, plus the increase in base size will make Cleveland even better. This could be years of postseason presence.
Sorry but they never were on the map. Attendance for Cleveland games have been declining for years. Fans for the 2022 season hardly showed up for regular season games. They drew less than the Cincinnati Reds; Reds lost 100 games. They ranked 25th overall, 5th worst in MLB attendance, under 1.3M and 17K per game for the '22 season.
Never been a Tito fan, but this year I’ve become a big fan. I hope they win it all for him, especially since it sounds like he’s sick and won’t be back next year. Its great seeing him smiling, love to see him with Oscar at the end here.

Just connect with the ball, the home runs will come later. So seeing you comment this really drives home just how good a manager Francona is at developing young talent.
@@noahwade5703 Gonzalez didn't perform well in the beginning of the season. But that's not a bad thing, these guys are young. This is more a testament to the effectiveness of the Guardians coaching staff.
