The alley way adds more style and space without it being negative space and could be perfect for setting up scenes like two rich people and their kid being saved from a mugger or two mini figures doing a shady pet purchase if you catch my drift
@@wemk2450 what's wrong with u😅
@@Z-Excel probably a pedophile, convicted murderer, physcopath, drug dealer. thats probably the tip of the iceberg but just a fucked up person in general ig
@@Z-Excel wdym? They're perfectly normal 😊😊😊😊😊
@@wemk2450 sir i give you the award of...funniest youtube reply!
@@wemk2450 You forgot a drunk puking - perfect use of a yellow pizza piece.
Or taking a dump with one of those chocolate ice cream things.
How about a pile of those little hypodermic pieces and a zonked out smack head with a prostitute robbing his pockets?
Bro thats how alleyways work
Years ago, people went down alleyways. This technique was called a walk.
Ok but it looks ugly
@@I_Stole_Your_Toast its an alleyway, its not meant to look pretty
@@quitehefty you might be right, but seeing as, once built, the primary purpose of a lego set is to look pretty, your argument is invalid
@@I_Stole_Your_Toast "your argument is invalid 🤓🤓" please go outside you sound stupid as hell. and even then the fix this guy had in the video made it look even worse than it was before
That's like, the purpose of an alley, to fucking seperate the buildings
The fact that this stupid comment had almost 3 thousand likes feels very right I'm glad we agree
@Dogebrea th-cam.com/video/CKSEOZ8R3oo/w-d-xo.html&feature=shares
Ok but it looks ugly
@@I_Stole_Your_Toast have you seen an alley before? Those are like characterized by being ugly and dingy
@@cocosolis8240 no, I mean the complete flat edge of the sanctum where as all the other visible sides have a but of pop and detail to them. It looks out of place and I don't like it. (Also I didn't sign up for realism when I bought my plastic brick Superhero toy)
Calm down bro no need to cuss
No alley, no trashcans, no waste management. Your lego town is going to be a lego dump without those important alleys.
Finally a 'modular' with an alleyway and you say it's hideous even though it looks like an alleyway should.
I liked the alley way I feel like it adds more depth
Yeah, and realism
It adds more depth by taking away depth from the building
the other buildings have exposed crappy looking sides which need to be covered up though
only the sanctorum's alley side will look good
@@bencatzillaThen just order some brick pieces of the corresponding color and give it texture, it ain’t that deep
Because god forbid you be able to walk through a block of buildings without being inches from a car or taxi
It’s New York tho your gonna get hit by like 80 taxis if you live there
Instead you can get mugged and turn your child into a future superhero
One, the alleyway was doing its job. Two, who puts a warehouse on the top floor of a residential building?
Indianapolis city planners
It’s problem just an empty apartment or something but for some reason he called it a warehouse
The designers behind Fallout 4’s Creation Club Charleston Condominium
The aashole who made this video. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Three, who would want to eat in a pizzeria that cramped on the inside?
Can we just acknowledge that the exhaust of the sanctum’s A/C is now inside peter’s room… which is a health nightmare…
Ah yes, what a very realistic solution to a definite problem that surely has no baseline in reality at all.
The alley makes the set better to me
And as we all know there are no alleys in any city anywhere
lmao ive been scrolling thru these comments for far too long and this actually made me laugh
The alley looks good y’all bugging
Exactly, and you could add some cool details to it
Why not just have the alley between the buildings? Alleys exist in real life, not every building is attached to every other building.
"Makes it impossible to connect" as if that isn't the point of an alleyway??
The alleyway is cooler. It makes it look more like a real city, NYC is FULL of alleys, and it’s cool to have variation in the building structure. I want an alley in my modular city, maybe I’ll have to design one.
I like the alleyway. You can put a mugging scene in there or something like that.
Isn't an alley SUPPOSED to separate buildings?
I'm not surprised the warehouse is abandoned - top floor, no lift, no doors and space for maybe a dozen boxes only.
I mean the alleyway’S fine?
Well I didn't know lego fans were anti alley way 😂
Like if it weren't for dark alley ways we wouldn't have heroes like batman
Starting to think this guy makes shitty takes intentionally
bruhhh abandoned warehouse
Ngl, the idea of Peter living next door to Dr. Strange is fucking hilarous to me.
Hey, you’re doing a good thing here and your content is very informative and entertaining, so, with all due respect, please slow down when you’re talking. No need to rush. You can do this.
The biggest problem about that set is the stairway on the first floor
I like the alley alot
To be fair, NYC has essentially zero alleys, so the updated version is more accurate. The shadows got sold years ago when the rent go too high.
The alleyway looked better being there, separating the buildings was a neat effect,Along with having the ability to have a fight scene going on within the alleyway,Basically,This was kinda bullsh!t.
I can’t wait for Lego to start making super skinny sets like this 😂
Let's be honest here, all LEGO sets should actually have alleyways cuz you'll give you a more customization and more fun scenes
I prefer the alleyway. It's actually a good place for a Spiderman scene. So much can be done with that small space.
I like how basically all of the comments are roasting him for not respecting the alleyway
Peter parker's room is such a cool lil spot u should put the fig in there 😂
You know, this is one of those rare times where an off brand made their own set and did it better. Panlos Sanctum Sanatorium is one of my favorite sets I ever built and it sits on my shelf to this day.
Every Marvel movie, comic, cartoon ever made has some kind of story going on in alleyways
Honestly the designers could have not added the alleyway and use that space to make the entrance stairs a bit bigger
To be fair, the building is from New York which has pretty much no alley ways irl. Filling it in makes sense
iv walked down ally ways in new york...
Why did he call the small room a warehouse?😂
Bro saved a rich kid from orphanhood and wearing bat costumes
You have got to be kidding me, I’m hearing about this NOW?!
love when my bedoom has no ground access and also the neighboring building's AC unit
The alley way being replaced with a pizzeria says a lot about our society.
Once I buy the Sanctum I might put a subway entrance in the alley
Now where is the criminals gonna do shady robberies
It's for the daily bugle set to go next to it
Do ya not see alleyways between actual buildings?
What a genius idea, blocking off two entry points, at least mini superheroes today extended the side walls!
Nyc landlord logic
wow that looks really good!!
Cities are just continuous blobs of brick and stone to this guy.
Congrats, now your city looks like the uncanny valley
If you want to make your city more realistic keep the alley ways
The alleyway really depends on which building it connects to
People who played with their legos like it was a movie or just playing for fun: type 1
I like the alley, honestly I’d like to see Lego make more modular sets with them
While it's a cool addition, I'm going to leave the alley. It's all about location. Where it sits in my city lines up with a string of alleyway entrances and back doors into shops etc. It's all about placement
I like the alley gives the lego city a set of realism
I’m with y’all on the alley supposed to be there it’s fucking funny to me that Spider-Man lives in a tiny apartment between the Sanctum Sanctorum and another building
holy fuck “there’s an alleyway in my lego city” may be one of the dumbest things i’ve heard a complaint about
Sure there’s an alleyway, have you seen new York, there’s alleys fucking everywhere
What’s wrong with the alleyway? This is unique, no other set has something like this.
it's the alley way where Batmans parents were killed
Add some thin stairs , if you can, and that alleyway will have more depth
Personally I like the alley it's more realistic. Not every building in real life is connected to the building next to it. But this is cool.
Bro is screaming randomly 😂
i get it, I like the Alley way too. But some people dont so this is a good fix. Personally I like the alley, and there are currently a few sets that have them some form of path to the back integrated.
dude is in a different tax bracket than me
(checks comments) Okay, Im not insane.
Yeah that alleyway sucks
Corner buildings in the Lego Modular Buildings series don’t have alleyways like this so you can seamlessly park buildings on either side. This alleyway was created to 1) pair with the Bugle, 2) insert play features, 3) save bricks/cost.
This comment section is being unnecessarily harsh over a valid criticism.
I like it both ways tbh
Great fix! I plan on extending the sanctum part so it covers up the alleyway aswell!😃
I think the main problem with it is how empty it is. Maybe a fire exit or something would help. Its just a flat wall in the original set
It's an alleyway? You know those exist in actual cities right?
Alleyways are meant to separate buildings lol
The alleyway looks better lil bro
I know everybody’s complaining but I quite like the addition. Yes, the alleyway is realistic but the way the gap was left felt more like you forgot a chunk of the building than anything else.
I feel like it should be made optional. Like if you want the alley you can add it but if you don’t, you can take it off and connect it to another building (I’ve never made a Lego building in my life)
I used to have this BEAUTIFUL set, but it got knocked over into my hundreds of legs bricks in bins so I have never rebuilt it😭
That how a fucking alley works
Mould-king would laugh
Wait till you discover how actual city's look
They hit puberty 😂
I have the original sanctum and been wanting the new one but dont want to get rid of my old one. As much as I like the alleyway I do love the usage of the old one and now really makes me want to get the two and combine them
bruh nobody tell him alleyways exist irl
Everyone saying that they alleyway is just dandy. I don't really care, but personally, if I had an alley in my city I'd want it a couple houses down. Rather than right beside the corner building. I'm not a city planner or anything, I just personally prefer it the way I laid out above.
The ally is for detail like you can put mini figures in it selling stuff
"Smells-a-like portals
bro's never been in a city in his life
Honestly, having an alleyway is cool
I mean this is probably the first thing I’ve seen you do that isn’t an entirely stupid video, I mean it is stupid, but I have OCD and I don’t like the look of the alley way next to other buildings, solid video I guess
That sounds like something everyone else would do to
I like the alleyways so much in my opinion
Honestly looked better with the alleyway.
Bro the pizzeria is now trapped
Good to know if needed
Dude never seen a ally way before what he thinks = all buildings is connected
According to the comments, suburban kids with upper middle class parents that buy them Legos have no clue what an alleyway is and are out of touch with reality/naive. But in defense of the side of "Calm down its just legos" uhhhh the back of the santorum looks eh the way its just flat, adds too much negative space and when youre building a lego city you need to try utilizing every square inch with limited space
Everybody is talking about how that's how alleyways work despite that not being what this is about (well not entirely)
The problem here is that you can't lock this building in place with other modular buildings as there needs to be technic connections between modular sets
Adding that slim pizza shop solves this, albeit not that great, another solution is to make a short curb or wall that matches with the modular building you want to have connected there at the edge of the alley with connection points in place, so you can still have the alley and connect it to a building, though it'll look weird to just have a curb/wall in that area
Second option is make a custom dumpster and hide a connection point to the back of it, then make another one or something else with the other connection point near the end of the alley, but I doubt anybody would want to get into the effort of designing a full on dumpster just for one usage so not that great either
So what I'm getting at is that the pizza shop is there just so the main building can connect to modular buildings and not just due to disliking alleys (despite him calling it ugly)
Sorry for my Lego rant
Some of the best moments in spider-man movies and shows come from him swinging through alleyways so this is stupid.
Its the point of an alleyway
