One is at most a somewhat augmented FPS protag who's physical feats aren't even close to being all that standout compared to his peers to warrant how much the codex and lore wanks him off (seriously the way people talk about post reboot doomguy you'd think he was a horus heresy era primarch or something even though he's at most named space marine character tier in a universe where nothing else really matches up to that) and kratos's feats of killing gods has only mirrored what heaps of other videogame protags have been doing well before him only difference is his games made more of a cinematic spectacle about it, they are both incredibly underwhelming characters compared to how their fans love to wax poetic about how they are "da strongest videogame characteds evarrrr"
Asura at least has a long enough laundry list of stupid insane shit he does in his own game to justify being up there with the best of them even if it's purely all an interactive movie at most

I played this game so many times and gotta say, no other game could achieve this grand level of absolute cinematic badassary and boss fights. Asura really blasted the surface of Earth and punched his way to the core of the planet and obliterated a parastic godlike entity.
And this isn't even the final boss.

I love Kratos but Capcom made a character thst deserves that world shattering Rage
Slayer was pissed and needed weapons. Kratos is fairly powerful thanks to being half god, and having help in his moments (broke his oath with help of Orkos after being captured, needed Pandora's guidance for using power of Hope, all of the trilogy even til the Norse Dualogy got him to different countries and mythologies (he went to Egypt in comics by Athena),
And Hulk has a serious personality disorder in his situation despite all that Rage.
Asura (and I'll give it to Kratos)
Had a family to fight for
To the point he can fight the literal creator of the world at practically base form charged by his Rage.
