      Graeme Bell with all due to respect ✊ i see where your coming from but I think that that the indigenous and tribal areas that did this so that the dogs can have a better keen sense of smell for hunting. It still bad though and should never be done, but that is what they PROBably needed to do to have a more better or successful hunting experience.

    • @crymsonz6317
      @crymsonz6317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      The ears are to prevent infection, and the tail was cut to prevent vermin from biting at it which would cause infection. Today people dock tails for traditional or cosmetic purposes. And neither of these causes discomfort to the dog!

Then we got Walter, a black lab who left my daughter devastated when he passes. She still mourns him now almost ten years later. Then my bf’s sister’s dachshunds, Sammy & Bella came to stay for a few years. Sammy passed on, but Belly is now a fat little sausage living with my ex. My daughter and I pop over sometimes to see her. Dogs should be a part of everyone’s life at some point. I live in an apartment now, but I’m allergic to cats.

    If someone asked me what the most dangerous dogs were I’d say: “the ones that are abused and neglected....but even then they could still be the sweetest things”. I would never say pitbull. breed discrimination needs to stop. It’s how they were bred and the conditions they live in that make aggressive dogs....NEVER the breed 😤 I have seen aggressive Labradors. And I grew up with an aggressive weiner dog to strangers. Stop blaming the dogs for bad owners. Pit bulls aren’t dangerous people are....😔

      Beauty In Every Daye Breed can most definitely affect temperament and personality. Pit bulls are very strong, and when rubbed the wrong way, are in fact VERY dangerous. I’m sure yours was a very sweet loving pup. Most are, but pit bulls are responsible for 66% of fatal mauling of people. That’s not to say the breed IS more prone to be aggressive, they are just so strong that if their temperament is bad, or their owners are bad, they are most definitely dangerous.

      i been studying this breed for years and have learned off of real dogman feom the past and real knowledgeable well reputable books with literature to prove the claims.
      i also know a few who breed the real american pitbull terrier and have created grand champion apbt.
      the american pitbull terrier which like i said is a rare breed now a days due to the dumbasses like the one who made this video keep on mislabeling and saying stupid shit that isnt even true.
      if u wanna see a real pitbull and not those big blue fake mutts u see everywhere being called pitbulls
      then go and search: The real american pitbull terrier gamedog.
      theres no such thing as “types of pitbulls”
      like these people say
      the name pitbull is a short name for the pure bred breed american pitbull terrier and is a highly aggressive breed but only wit other animals and dogs
      some people were able to have their pitbull to get alone wit a cat or a dog but most of the time it doesn’t happen.
      This breed has a strong instinct of fighting cuz if u learned of the breeds past u would understand why.
      they were always bred to fight
      theyre the #1 gamedogs and have always been
      theyre amazing with people especially kids but when they see another dog its like a trigger button cuz of the high prey drive

    My cousin has a Tibetan Mastiff and he's very large, soft, and looks quite like the first one brought up. I can tell you that if you raise them well, they can be great companions. Max (my cousin's dog) is great around children, despite his size, and puts up with me and my friends being annoying. He also loves other dogs. So if you get lucky enough to get one, and you raise it right, you got yourself a best friend. That goes for any dog of course, I had multiple pitties (pit bulls) and they all were very nice, protective, and loving. They had great behaviors without having full training. They only get aggressive when raised poorly.

    I grew up with a basenji/pit mix. He was a tough old man by the time I was old enough to walk him/he walked me 😝. He only made noises when the garbage man came and tried to eat the mailman. To his defense the mailman stuck his hand thru our mail slot that went into the house. Great dog 🥰

      Tell that to someone who hasn't been around them, not around people who grew up with them and have multiple friends who have them. They are friendly, sweet, and cuddly. They are protective and love their people. The so called aggressive ones are the ones that have been beaten, abused, starved, and isolated. That is not the dogs fault. That is not specific to any breed, and dog that is treated like that will be aggressive.

      WRONG ! Bulldogs were crossed with the Terrier, for strength and agility, for the purpose of baiting bulls and bears.
      They certainly were not bred as family pets, these were working dogs.
      Many dogs are Nanny dogs, it means "good with children", naming Pit Bulls nanny dogs likely started in 1971.
      It seems that only you and those like you, say they have this nickname, and they do, but only by you and those like you. lol
      Really though, you're just full a shite, but you're not hurting anyone, so dream on dreamer.

      ThatGuyOnTH-cam first of all, do you even have any proof that the way pit bulls are breed undomesticated them? Anyway, pit bulls “seem to cause harm at a higher rate than any other dog breed” because first of all, pit bulls are one of the strongest dogs out there, second, pit bulls are very loyal dogs to their owners, so they’ll literally do anything to please them, so when pit bulls attak humans, it’s usually because the owner was being seriously stupid, they got rabies, or because they were just trying to please there owners. Heck, I’m pretty sure pit bulls actually caused less harm to humans than most smaller dog breeds did(like the chihuahua probably caused way more) because smaller dogs are most of the time, are meaner than big ones, so that’s probably why pit bulls seem to cause more harm to humans at a higher rate than any other dog breed.(plus, not all dog attack’s are documented or shown on the news you know, they only show it when it involves a big dog so they can get people watching there stupid news cite or reading their stupid article on their website.)

    • @allysmith2149
      @allysmith2149 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ThatGuyOnTH-cam plus, when a pit bull attack happens, remember this, it is the owners fault, not the dog, if the owner is not going to be responsible with the dog, then why get it?

    Pit bull isn’t a breed it’s a name that covers many other breeds of terriers such as bull terriers or Stanford terrier also “pit bulls” have scored better on temperament testing than Dalmatians and a few other common working dog breeds. Also “pit bulls” were not breed for dog fighting they were breed for fighting bulls and keeping wolves and lions off property and away from livestock. Back in the 80’s and 70’s “pitbulls” were nicknames the nanny dog. I have proof of this as I own a old children’s book called the nanny dog or something like that and the book goes on to show you how the dog keeps the kid from danger
