I'm not a huge Breitling fan, but I do like this one. Gold hands and indices are easiest to read for me, even in low light. Thank you for reviewing this! Good job ....as usual.
Never liked this Brand, always thought their designs looked cheap and tacky having sait that if I was a 30 year old world adventurer I would buy the model that has the E perb safety beacon!
hello Ivan. First of all, I have to say "sorry" to begin with.... because it is going to be a bit long comment. (well, my last one was so short that this might deserve a bit long one, ha ha). When I look at this watch, especially gold 2 tones, it seems like it belong to my father or grand-father watch. It just have the sort of vibes to it. However, it seems like you really really like this watch. Anyway, nothing against you and anyone else because choosing or buying a watch is A PERSONAL CHOICE. I might really loath it, but someone might just love it to death. Nothing wrong with it. That is how life is and how watch preference is. Anyway, to me, this watch looks "old". Yes, it is super well done, very nice fit and finish and functionally nothing to complain about, however, feature wise, aesthetic point of view, the trends that new watches are heading into to.... This Breitling is few decades behind. Given that the bracelet looks unique and comfortable, but it still have pin and collar. & Butter-fly clasp???? Common!!!!. Look at Cartier Santos bracelet adjustment. It is simple, elegant yet innovative (something to talk about). Look at Tudor and many other (between $2000 to $4000 range on-the-fly-adjustment clasps.... That is the trend for mid to high end watches. As for the movement, I am certain that it is TOP GRADE. That is for sure, but at the price range, it is nothing to brag about because everyone has it. As for the bezel and dial, it seems "old" again. I do not know what to tell you, Ivan. Honestly, Breitling isn't doing well... Actually doing horrible. According to Watchchart, AAGR (Average Annual Growth Rate), this is how it looks. 2 years at -1.2% 1 year at -6.2% 6month at -10.5% 3 month at -13.2% 1 month at -11.2%. it seems like they will have the worst 2024 year in many decades..... Breitling needs something innovative, something unique, something to wow their customers, like black bay to Tudor..... Ivan, I am very sorry about this negative comment, but that is how I see the Breitling and the market sales do not lie, as you can see. Thanks for this interesting review and keep it coming, Doc.
Thanks Alex!! Ah yes, that's more of a comment for sure! :) You know, you're absolutely right about the two-tone (and also all gold) type colourways... watches in this design are more suited to older gentlemen and would not have been my personal choice either. This is in fact my father's recent purchase and it suits him very well... but I have enjoyed sporting it around also. As for Breitling itself, I am actually quite sad to hear about those performance figures... they have a place in horological history and it would be a pity if they failed. Many of their designs do seem to come from another time as you say, but I think they are making a move towards being more restrained, modern if you will (just see the comparison with the previous Chronomat again, a massive difference I think). I hope they are not running too late! The BB58 for Tudor is something that quite a number of companies are trying in order to revive things, i.e. take something classic or favourite from a previous era and modernize it... this Rouleaux bracelet is one such similar thing here, but maybe it's just not quite enough...!
@@PerthWAtch your father's watch???? No wonder.... I do not blame you for a super positive watch review on this watch....since, of course, it belongs to your father. Yup. it is a perfect watch for your father who is 75 years old. (give or take 3 years, ha ha )
I've not seen a Breitling I've liked and I'm not a fan of chronographs so this has no chance of appealing to me. The gold bezel just looks wrong, mixing the steel and gold looks a lot like the way that Rolex ruined the Explorer's appearance.
Thanks for the comment - curious to hear that about the two tone, it’s quite a classic combo which has been around for decades. But I guess it’s not for everyone!
Fantastic review in a stunning watch. I love Breitling chronomats but this is something special indeed. This is now at the top of my list.
Hey thanks man, glad you enjoyed the review!
Beautiful watch ! Looks great
Love these TT Breitling Chronograph and the bracelet is so comfortable.
Nice! Do you own this same model?
Great review thank you very much
Most welcome!
Well, it is absolutely very Breitling/10. Not my thing, but I'm glad some people like it.
Thanks - but I think it’s somewhat “less Breitling” than even those from 10 years back.

That bracelet is very nice. I do wish Breitling would re-invent their bezel. To me is very outdated and just doesn’t seem appealing.
Thanks for the comment - yeah fair point about the bezel, I understand what you mean.
