This in combination with a Haynes book got me to replace it in less than an hour, after finding the right tools on the road. Head light switch was broken. Fixed it first with a screwdriver and some electrical tape. But didn’t work anymore so had to replace it. Thanks for some of the information / guidance
Thank you! This worked a charm! It took me a minute to find that last screw on the multi function switch itself. Disassemble, replace, reassemble, and on the road in 2 hours going slowly. I had the turn signal symptom like you but then that started to work again? but then the headlights started to act the same way so I figured this had to be it and it was.

Also great job showing disconnecting the battery before removing the airbag (Very important safety step). PS, you should add the keyword :Multi function switch, MFS, that's what I was searching for when trying to find a video like this. Then I stumbled upon yours in the sidebar, and it only has 2 views, whaaat! Excellent production and you showed everything I needed to know. Ty. My LT35's horn is difficult to activate and only works if certain parts of the horn such are pressed. This video have been a great help, many thanks...
thank you so much for helping us save some money, god bless you, I would like to add that on my 2004 sprinter I needed a 4 millimeter hex wrench to remove the air bag which is the very beginning of the whole job, and I got frustrated trying to use torx and regular fillips screw driver and I was loosing my patient even before I started disassembling it, but again thanks so much for such a easy to do video.
I also forgot to add that my windshield wiper pump went out and I tried very hard to fix it and nothing worked, it was the multi function switch that had failed, thanks again.

Hi, I had to change my multi function switch also. It took about 2 hrs because I had to keep going over the video to make sure I didn't mess up. I did it today and just got done at 4 pm. Thank you so much for the very detailed video. I have an 05' also and it the long and tall. I use it for my handrail business which takes me all over the tristate area around Pennsylvania. I'm sort of envious over the ford transit diesel. Does anyone have any reviews on the Ford transit diesel cargo van?
On the Sprinter radio it only has two speakers in the front and why does it have a fader? Well I took it apart and I found the points in the insert for the wires for the rear speakers and I went to a junkyard and I got another Sprinter plug and I extracted the points and installed them into my plug and now I have rear speakers and they are up on the back wall of my cargo partition
@@RuvimAbaras thank you i did check check the fuse box. I even took it apart and cleaned all the copper terminals.. my next guess is the electronic ignition switch.. thank you for replying.. by the way your latvian/mexican pizza looks really good

I love your accent, reminds me of despicable me. Thanks for the video. My head lights do not stay on at times when I use the turn signals.

Yes I still have sprinter it's way more than 700,000 I think it's almost 800,000 on it,
I don't use my sprinter very often I'm a truck driver now

Can a bad multi function switch cause a short and prevent the engine from starting..
No not that I have heard of however under the steering wheel there is a fuse box make sure you check all the connections there
