And when When Man Meets God came I, in complete honesty started to cry and shake in the beauty and truth in it. I’ve been coming back to this one a lot. I lost my grandma almost a year ago, she lived with us since I was little. When she started to decline, she would ask us, “Do you hear that beautiful music?” We couldn’t hear what she was hearing. When she was too weak to form words, she would still raise her hands and utter sounds of praise. We were entrenched with her in the dying process and it was difficult, but in another way it was like witnessing a homecoming. Like in a small way I could see what it was like for a soul to be ushered into the presence of God. This piece brings all of that back. I can’t listen to it without crying. The muisic took me in such a magic and emotional journey I hardly believe I didn't teared up! Like, in 2:14 I was expecting a loud and powerful explotion, almost fearing it, but when i grew just to- embrace me with softness and get more and more complex in a more slow buildup i gave a so much more gosebumps that the first expected explosion would have. Then that quietness at 3:26 followed by the piano relaxed me so much! It felt like a memory for a second, just like when you're being surrounded by chaos and the back of your head gives you just enough room to breath and recover aire, for a second, and damn! your voice right in between that just reforced that emotion to me! "You're beautiful, so beautiful". And then the beat gets just a little faster just when I can hear you sing! Oh my god and the lyrics. All the journey that this song took me into to get to your powerful and emotional voice was so, so, so perfect. I'm so, so, so happy you let yourself be truth to what you wanted this song to be. The muisic took me in such a magic and emotional journey I hardly believe I didn't teared up! Like, in 2:14 I was expecting a loud and powerful explotion, almost fearing it, but when i grew just to- embrace me with softness and get more and more complex in a more slow buildup i gave a so much more gosebumps that the first expected explosion would have. Then that quietness at 3:26 followed by the piano relaxed me so much! It felt like a memory for a second, just like when you're being surrounded by chaos and the back of your head gives you just enough room to breath and recover aire, for a second, and damn! your voice right in between that just reforced that emotion to me! "You're beautiful, so beautiful".
And then the beat gets just a little faster just when I can hear you sing! Oh my god and the lyrics. All the journey that this song took me into to get to your powerful and emotional voice was so, so, so perfect. AND THE MUSIC AT THE END, GOING AGAIN TO THAT LAKE OF QUIETNESS, THIS SONG IS SO PERFECT.
