Seriously do not understand how Nathan is so underrated, every single song is just this soul-pounding cacophony of *feeling* layered on top of a gorgeous voice and an instrumental that somehow feels perfectly suited for both a blockbuster trailer and a room of meditating monks.

I remember looking at my phone about five years ago and realizing it was four in the morning. The instrumental of "Light" was finally all scored out on garageband and I had no idea seven hours had passed. Fast forward to 2019, I didn't change the instrumental one bit. Will always always be proud of this one. Hope you like it. Love each and every one of you.

Yes, that's definitely one of your best songs, like Kiss Under The Rain, where the instrumental is simple, but still beautiful. However, in Light it sounds really good. I listen to several rock bands, dating all the way back to the 70's, and I've never heard any song like this one before. ITS PHENOMENAL!! It ranges between heart felt emotions and a light orchestral accompaniment, to a strong clash with intense guitar playing and a heavy emphasis on lyrics. I love this, the message, the repetition of "let there be light" - it gives it a sort of biblical ring to it, like most Gothic / hard rock bands like to do. This is just so beautiful! The image fits the song so perfectly

I imagine this album as a story of Victoria's journey through the darkness and her loving friend who tries to warn her in the beginning. He promises to still protect her in "Silence". So at the end, she sees how unfulfilled a "sea of glass" life is and with the help of the friend who waited for her, comes back to God. That's my perspective. Well, this year was certainly a ride. Much has happened since I was last here, so lemme tell ya what is up: A huge fight to try and stay in a school that didn't care about my side or me in general, ended up getting kicked out of Colorguard and the high school all because of some drama these girls dragged me into that I had no business and never wanted it, yet the school believed the lies they told about me and I suffered so long before we left. Graduated high school with a homeschool group with guys I've known for years, so it was really nice. Me and my cousin graduated together, just a few days apart. Ended up being killed by a reckless friend she wasn't supposed to be around, from what I was told. Found a girl I thought I was gonna be with for the rest of my life, but figured out she wanted to be complacent in her state and she wanted me to stay in an endless cycle of lust, disappointment, constant fighting. Got a job as an electrician apprentice and it's going well so no worries there. Oh, and it seems that both sides of my family is having some issues (Im not saying jack). To top it off, after I left the girl, I've been working on getting back to the Word and praying every day, and it is a slow process, but sometimes I catch me trying to push it off, and I hate it. Sounds so fun, right?
Look, I know it's a rant, but... As long as I still trust in God, I'm sure everything is gonna be fine. Still makes me wonder how am I ever gonna have my own life, ya know
