Shit just take a drive down west Blvd. I loved Charlotte. I've seen worse looking hoods up north that didn't have shit on some of the hoods in Charlotte. As far as violence is concerned. Can't forget Sugarcreek. And the worst hood In Charlotte? Central jail. High rise jail with I think 16 floors. When you go to court they shackle you to 50 other inmates and then led through an underground tunnel under the busiest part of the city to the court house.
This person drove around literally ALL DAY wasting gas, only to one incident. That goes to show that there is no real “hood” like that here in Charlotte. Don’t try to make my city look bad bruh
I'm from Monroe, and watched Charlotte grow and change over the last 4 decades. It has its share of problems, but to be honest, it hasn't declined over the years like other areas have. Edit: I was bummed when the crime took over Eastland Mall.

I grew up off shamrock and yeah I used to go to Eastland mall ALL THE TIME. It's so sad to drive by it when I happen to be in that area. I love Charlotte though, born and raised and don't ever have plans of leaving.
The present day hoods in most southern towns look the exact same many churches, 7 eleven type stores, railroad tracks, similar type housing, poor low performing schools, liquor stores, strip clubs, and numbers runner stores. No way out type places unless...grandmothers willing to tell your momma if she saw you out acting up. Those were the good old days.

If you grew up in the Clt area 20-30 yrs ago and suddenly needed to go into witness protection the best place for the fed marshalls to relocate you where there's little chance anyone would ever recognize you is Charlotte. Watching this video, to be honest those look like nice neighbourhoods. Decent sized lots, reasonable housing, people own relatively decent cars, plenty of grass and trees, wide and well maintained roads, basic infrastructure like electricity all works. I guess that is the difference between a rich country like American and poor or middle income countries. I'm sure this area has its problems with crime etc, but if I didn't know that I would think it was a good place to live. Go to some poor country and there are plenty of people that live lives of grinding poverty in real slums. I haven't visited that many countries, but somewhere like the Philippines had so much poverty it was crazy. Mile after mile of slums and people living in shacks. Not even basic infrastructure. If those people saw this city they would think it was paradise. Seriously.
I understand what you are saying but it is the CRIME that makes these places bad. Most of these places were nice neighborhoods at one time and when crime started happening, the residents moved away and the areas became crime ridden and not taken care of.

im from charlotte, and Theres alot more hoods you didnt go through (tuckaseegee, rozzleferry, southside homes, west blvd, clanton rd, griertown etc..), and alot of hoods that got torn down due to gentrification, heres the thing about charlotte though. due to gentrification the area and neighborhoods look alot better and can be deceiving but the same inhabitants who were there when it was the hood are still there and so is the crime, in fact were up to i believe 81 murders this year and climbing. Plus this is the South so we all got plenty guns

Beatties Ford was ranked the most violent area in Charlotte a couple years ago. Still pretty bad but they get busy over on Nations Ford & around Freedom dr. area. Its always some shit happening Freedom. I had an apartment right in between Wilkinson blvd. & Freedom Dr, I'd hear gun shots at night all the time. Then I pulled up to my friends place right after a group of kids had shootout & seemed like they had the whole damn CPD out there & then we walked into the middle of a shootout a different time. Luckily no one outthere was hit. But u should do a video around those areas and uptown during CIAA weekend.
I go to that pilot for fuel some times (I'm a truck driver around charlotte) and it's such a dump. It's sad all those punks have no regard for those drivers trying to get some sleep.

im from charlotte, and Theres alot more hoods you didnt go through (tuckaseegee, rozzleferry, southside homes, west blvd, clanton rd, griertown etc..), and alot of hoods that got torn down due to gentrification, heres the thing about charlotte though. due to gentrification the area and neighborhoods look alot better and can be deceiving but the same inhabitants who were there when it was the hood are still there and so is the crime, in fact were up to i believe 81 murders this year and climbing. Plus this is the South so we all got plenty guns

Beatties Ford was ranked the most violent area in Charlotte a couple years ago. Still pretty bad but they get busy over on Nations Ford & around Freedom dr. area. Its always some shit happening Freedom. I had an apartment right in between Wilkinson blvd. & Freedom Dr, I'd hear gun shots at night all the time. Then I pulled up to my friends place right after a group of kids had shootout & seemed like they had the whole damn CPD out there & then we walked into the middle of a shootout a different time. Luckily no one outthere was hit. But u should do a video around those areas and uptown during CIAA weekend.
