Me I am collecting them I have the first 3 books and the latest book release as now just need to collect year 4 next month and get the goblet of fire for completion here in the U.K and I have the complete set
@@NC1195_ I will shortly get them both just need last one of Jim Kay and than I get them milneva books as just need Jim Kay goblet of fire for completion this month of all his books as I will have all illustrated books from Jim Kay as I get them over December and January probably both of them but I will probably get one signed copy of the book
The best illustration is the pictures we create when we read. I read this book for the first time in 2007 before the arrival of the last book. It wS great. I just created images for myself while reading
I actually collected all 5. However, I have Deluxe/Collector's editions. Ones put out by Scholastic are called Collector's editions. The Bloomsbury (UK) editions are called Deluxe editions. Not sure why the different edition names since they're the same books with exception of publication names in them.
Thanks for sharing! So many beautiful illustrations! Harry in the bushes and then on the swing in the first chapter must be my favorites 'cause the colors are so beautiful!! I want it as a screensaver and a poster! The House of Black family tree is also amazing! Dolores Umbridge turned out perfect and I'm glad Jim Kay illustrated Peeves with the twins on the escape from Hogwarts. The Thestrals flying towards the Ministry of Magic is also poster-worthy! But without a doubt both of Dumbledore's illustrations with Harry (first in the Ministry and lastly in Dumbledore's office) are perfect! 💚
Oh wow. I was kind of underwhelmed by this one if I'm being honest. It must have been so stressful to find a balance between having enough illustrations and fitting the large text within a set amount of space. I definitely preferred the first few because they had so many colourful illustrations of more than just ghosts and patronuses lol
You kno the only thing that makes me laugh is that it's always HBP that gets the short end of the stick lol Same when pottermore came out. All I wanted was to see ma git boi Draco sliced up lmao Jim Kay is so ridiculously good. I wish him health!
I disagree. This one has clearly more illustrations. Besides, it's still should be a book for reading, you can't have illustrations popping out all the time, it has to serve both purposes.
Kayan Kollyn: the spiral of the ellmott & messenger of the secret 😊😊😊 The great fantasy adventure saga book series by V VN Mangukiya 😅 Waiting for your review ❤❤❤ 😮😮 Harry Potter readers loves this book 😊😊😊
I do agree there r plenty common illustrationless pages, but calling the artwork terrific is just too far! I think the pictures were fantastic and beautiful to look at.
Unfortunately this is a disappointment. First third of the book looks great, but then too many pointless illustrations that don't really say anything. They missed a lot of really great opportunities to illustrate key moments of the story and instead we got a lot of patterns and random objects and even some blank spaces... Feels kind of lazy or rushed really
Not impressed by his illustrations at all. In fact I'm extremely disappointed and think he's completely garbage. The fact that he never illustrate the actual importnat events happening in the book but always find ways to skip those highlights and jump right into drawing people's faces we've seen hundreds of times from him before is just sickening
Who is collecting these Jim Kay Editions?!
Lmk in the comments below.
This video is awesome
Me! I hope I can get this soon. I thought it will be out on the 26th. Idk where I got that info. 😂

boring
i would have liked to have seen St Mungo's illustrated.
all 5.. n now i am waiting for the next in series😁
Great book, but I'm kinda disappointed they didn't do a nice, double-paged feature of the advanced guard in the Dursleys' kitchen.

Agreed! Thanks for watching 🙌
Sadly, the illustrator announced that OOTP will be the last of his work for Harry Potter. Due to personal reasons😞
Hopefully someone super talented takes his place then and continues these illustrated editions.
NO WAY WHAT?!?

What? Just before my favourite book in the series? I wanted Half-Blood Prince 😭
Yeah! If I heard correctly, Jim Kay co-illustrated this one with the guy who is taking over!
Can't forgive Jim Kay for ignoring Ron Weasley in this one.. This was supposed to be his shining year! Come on.. 😑
I actually think he made the right decision to pass the baton for HBP and DH. I personally think this entry is not as inspired as the first entries.
I wanted Jim’s version of the Black House that Harry inherits... curious about the wall murals.
Thanks for sharing! I think compared to his previous books, there are very few illustrations..
You kno the only thing that makes me laugh is that it's always HBP that gets the short end of the stick lol Same when pottermore came out. All I wanted was to see ma git boi Draco sliced up lmao

You're so right. I loved the Pottermore illustrations.
Unfortunately I won't buy it. The illustrations are terrific, but there are too many blank pages, like goblet of fire.
Yeah. The first 2 had the highest illustrations to pages ratio I think. Even the non illustrated pages had backgrounds

@@NabeelFarooqui exactly!
@@dannyjorde2677 true , and its a fking 700 page book converted so you can''t expect an illustration on every page
For me what cares on the book is the story...a great story. Illustrations are just to focus something but it's the essential.
Amazing!!!❤️
Thank you very much for this video it was great!
thanks great vid man
I'd like to see j.k do a book about peverell brothers?
YOU.
YOU ARE AN MVP!
Did Jim Kay Illustrate all 7 books?
5 at the moment, someone said he retired. I’m not to sure, I’m waiting for the 6 and 7 still

It's a great line but since Jim Kay will not complete his wonderful works, there's no point for me to buy it.
I absolutely loved this book! The art is just phenomenal. I just uploaded a review and full flip-through of this book in my channel 🔥
