I say 8/10
10/10 for me this is one of my favorite marvel movies

The plot was good but compared to the other 3 Avengers films, this one was kinda lacking
As a philosophy nerd, this film is my favorite Nietzschean film in Marvel though. Ultron is the embodiment of the idea of the Übermensch... Rewatching this film even made me realize how much they referenced Nietzsche here 🤣
- "What doesn't kill me makes me stronger" is from Nietzsche
- "There are no strings on me" is one of the traits of the Übermensch-- following only yourself and your own will, not caring what other people think or say
- and Ultron just generally embodying the "master morality" by doing everything in his power to achieve his personal goals (human extinction for earth's survival)
In contrast to Vision, who Ultron called a slave to Stark (basically Nietzsche's Master vs Slave Morality)

Ultron is basically the template for them being able to make Thanos “good”- they already knew what works, because of Ultron 👍🏾

This film may not be everybody’s favorite, but it still had me laughing. Comedy was the #1 why I got into the MCU.

Sure, a couple other projects may have slightly overdone it, at least according to some people, but that is the only thing that really, extremely, crashes and burned because of it. If it was happening with every other project, y’all would be right, but it’s not.
Also, not sure if you noticed because it was cut out, but Clint (Hawkeye) ended up naming his son’s middle name after Pietro! I thought that was a very sad/good part of the movie a lot of people tend to miss.

The reason Quicksilver died is due to licensing. Lawyers killed Quicksilver. When 20th Century Fox bought the rights to makes X-Men movies, they got the rights to the X-Men comic characters. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were both Avengers and X-Men in the comics. They compromised, and MCU got Wanda while 20th Cent Fox got Pietro. There is an X-Men version of the character.
Note: Because Disney bought 20th Century Fox (and made a deal with Sony, who has... other characters), in Phase 4, the old X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool and Spidermen films become sort of quasi-canon (you'll see). It might be wise to add them into your schedule.
X-Men will always be Marvels biggest dropped ball. Sony did the best they could and I love their movies, Don should watch them also
I'm glad you liked this one. It tends to be slept on by the MCU fanbase cause it doesn't hit the highs of the first Avengers or Infinity War/Endgame, but I think it's a good film in its own right. Ultron is an instantly compelling villain, a dark reflection of Tony's worst traits: arrogance, cockiness, a misguided understanding of right and wrong (which, in fairness, Tony did grow out of), even his abandonment issues are there in his interactions with Wanda and Pietro. I am sad that Pietro died, but considering the legal issues around him and Wanda, if Marvel could only choose one to use for more than one film, I think they made the right choice. The things they do with Wanda in later entries are among my favorite storylines in all the MCU.

If I remember correctly, The Vision gets his name because when Ultron created him, he would say "I am The Vision of my Master's wish" Or something like that
Also, in the movie, Thor has a vision of the infinity stones spawning a hero, which leads him to use his powers to fuse the stone with the metal body. Thor recognizes the new hero as "the vision" he saw.
you predicted ultrons mission, and you saw how cool a jarvis/robot/magic stone hybrid would be. and you want wandas powers. you are absolutely gonna love the next few movies. your spirit is right for this story arc.

A little interesting fact about Mjolnir in Norse myth is that, in theory, anyone can lift it. The 'worthy' thing is something that Marvel made up. In actual myth, it's just insanely heavy, not even Thor can lift it without the use of both a magic belt and bracers that enhance his strength, only his son Magni is naturally strong enough to lift Mjolnir
regarding hulk, bruce actually has DID (like moon knight aka dissociative identity disorder) unfortunately it wasn't translated well on screen/ wasn't explained properly in the films so if you see she hulk, his cousin doesn't have that alter ego plus bruce eventually remains as himself when he is the hulk / accepted his alter or something since he's always been pushing hulk away not wanting to accept him)
Ultron's idea of "peace" is "extinction." Only when humanity is gone will his idea of peace be realized.
The cool difference between this Ultron vs the comic Ultron is that the later was created by Hank Pym. The first Antman

This is personally one of my favorite movies. Mainly because it’s when we finally get Wanda and Pietro (aside from the end credit scene introducing the twins). It also shows how not everyone sees them as heroes, but as dangerous people. Which they are, but it’s the fact that they are the ones in control of being good or bad that scares the people
The nuke in 2012 Avengers worked because both Loki and the Chitari thought of humans as a step above cavemen and didn't expect the mother ship in another realm to be attacked. If they saw it coming, I'm sure they would have either shields or blew it up. Also....plot armor 😅

I still very much enjoyed this movie. Also, Bruce has Dissociative Identity Disorder. it was formed during his childhood, abusive father, and the Hulk personality is his bottled rage and destruction Alter who protects Bruce from outside dangers. When he was exposed to Gamma rays, his Hulk Alter turned into an actual Hulk monster who gets stronger the angrier he gets, making him nary unstoppable. So Bruce is the main, and Hulk is the Alter. Bruce begins to understand how to use his anger & rage on command, hence "that's my secret, Captain: I'm always angry." That's how he can transform at will.

I absolutely adore Ultron's voice in this movie, it isn't the stereotypical bad guy voice and it suits in so well.
In the scepter, the stone causes trouble and chaos. Freed from the scepter and casing, it makes Vision. The scepter was booby-trapped, by the one Loki was working for. . .

Marvel had to fight to include the Maximoff twins in this movie because of copyright issues with 20th Century Fox, their competition at the time, and it's the main reason Pietro died.
Fox owned the movie rights to X-Men characters, while Marvel owned Avengers. Wanda and Pietro were the only classic comic characters that clearly counted as regular members of both teams, so neither studio could claim exclusive rights to them, but it made things really awkward. Marvel couldn't use the word "mutant" so they had to completely change their origin story and use the word "enhanced," and Fox had the rights to their super-hero names of "Scarlet Witch" and "Quicksilver" so even though they're listed in the closing credits and everyone in the real world used them anyway, you'll notice no one in the movies ever call them anything but Wanda and Pietro until much later after Disney acquired Fox.
Fox chose to introduce their own version of Quicksilver in an X-Men movie around this time, and that's why they killed Pietro off but kept Wanda on the Avengers.

The hulk isnt explained much in the MCU but how I understand it from the comics is that "The Hulk" was an alter Ego that banner had before even the gamma experiment that turned him into the green monster, and after that experiment, it gave shape to Bruces alter ego, literally being a hulk
right! He has DID like Moon Knight but the MCU didn't dive deep into this for Bruce

The point is ultron wasn't stark's call to make. Not alone at least.
That giant iron man suit…what that is is probably the dopest suit he’s made, called the “Hulkbuster” suit, something stark made to deal with hulk related emergencies, such has him losing control. And as you can see, it handles them quite well

Yes, ultron was an idea of Tony to protect Earth..it was an idea came from his goal of protecting everyone and his fear of not protecting everyone enough..especially after New York and his anxiety attacks in Iron Man 3..then, Wanda just solidify that threat and fear in his mind..that's why he insist on using the stone to create Ultron..
2. Thor's hammer can only be wield by someone worthy, as Odin's spell cast on it, "whomsoever lift this hammer, if he deem worthy, shall possess the power of Thor"
3. that's the Hulkbuster armor with Veronica as its AI..
4. ok, wanda and pietro thought Stark was the one who attacked their house and killed their parents..but its not..remember Iron Man 1, Obadiah sold Stark weapons to anyone, even enemies of the state..that's where the missile with Stark brand came from..
5. yes, until this movie, there are 4 infinity stones already..Tesseract holds the Space Stone, Vision have the Mind Stone, Nova Corp have the Power Stone (GOTG), and the Collector have the Reality Stone (Thor: Dark World).
6. yes, next is Ant-Man, end of Phase 2..Phase 3 line-up is Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spiderman: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spiderman: Far From Home..
Infinity Stones so far:
The Tesseract (the stone is inside the cube): Space Stone (currently in the vault of Asgard)
The Scepter (the one in this movie even if the scepter was presented in The Avengers first): Mind Stone (currently in Vision's head)

One of my fav Avengers movie! Hehe fun fact: The scene where Wanada was ripping Ultrons heart was a hint that she's gonna be powerful af. Ultron's body is made up of vibranium it to took Thor, Tony and Vision to damaged his body. Though we can argue that it's already partly damaged when wanda was ripping ultron's heart but man, that's vibranium bruh haha
The Hulk knows right and wrong, and he does know who his friends are, but he is in a constant state of rage. This isn't a perfect way to describe it, but it is the best I got without going into a lengthy talk about mental health and anger issues.
Basically ultron wants to end the humans cuz when we go to war to get peace it will always end with another war so to stop war we need to end what started it.

The worst part about them delifing Quicksilver that way is the fact that it's so unnecessary and unrealistic considering how fast he is. He was fast enough to get them all out of the way without getting hit once, but that's the way they decided to delife him off. If they wanted to delife him off they could've had him get delifed by Ultron mid battle after he saved those two.

Ultron has to be one of my favorite mcu movies!
Tony made Ultron to “protect the earth”, not “protect humanity” so of course, Ultron came to the conclusion that the problem with earth WAS humanity.
This “miscommunication” all because of 2 things:
1) Wanda’s manipulation
2) Tony was low key still paranoid because of the events of “Avengers 1”- and maybe a little bit of PTSD from having to ALMOST SACRIFICE HIMSELF to save earth!
I loved this movie when I first watched it. My only issue is them making Ultron another joke machine. What makes Ultron so scary is that he doesn't care. There is no emotion, just logic as he slaughters humanity. If you ever watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes, THAT is my Ultron. He's the Ultron I compare all others to and this Ultron is nothing like him

What makes this Ultron the scariest version to me is that he's completely right about the Avengers up to this point and they have no retort or way of stopping him until they've grown as characters and as a team. The team from the first movie had no way of stopping Ultron.

No imo tho it’s pretty freaking good and it’s damn hard to try and follow up the original, yet again imo they did a damn good job honestly!
As far as this version of Quicksilver……🤔……well, I adore the actor that plays him and for such a lack of screen time, I think it was as good as was possible within the restrictions that I mentioned. His death or at least the whole situation that lead to it…sucked, badly, it was almost silly how it happened.
But I do appreciate the callback of “I bet you didn’t see that coming”(or w/e the exact words were😅) was quite nice and his and Hawkeye’s little back and forth banter was actually really funny and I’m fact I think that the most humorous stuff in the entire movie was almost solely attributable to Hawkeye and Quicksilver’s quips!
I mean ffs my dudes…one of my favorite parts of the movie was Hawkeye, especially when he says something like; “ no one would know…last I saw Ultron was sitting on him…he’ll be missed…I miss the little bastard already” oss like that! Soooo freaking good to me!🤦♀️😅😂😏👍

a deleted scene from infinity war has baner and hulk "talking", they disagree, they each have their own view of the other, but in the end, they realize they both want the same thing, to exist, after that, they become one person. we don't get to see that in the real movie, and it kinda happens "off screen" before the next movie.
the old mans in every movie mr stan lee wrote most of these characters comics a long time ago.
only stones youve seen at this point are the space stone/tessaract, power stone/orb from guardians of the galaxy, mind stone/lokis scepter and visions stone, and the reality stone/red goop from thor 2

To answer your question, yes the Hulk and Bruce Banner are separate personalities. In the comics Bruce Banner actually has multiple personalities for Hulk
