This video is the perfect example of both Harry's wild enthusiasm for cars but also his bewildering depth of knowledge. Imagine spending the day with him at a place like this - magical!
And I’d hire Harry to take me round first 😂 A lottery win and one of these Auctions could be dangerous. I’d take a lot of these over the latest split new stuff or a few years old hat frankly brew me now. Ferrari have went for timeless class to a bit boring.
@@SWR112 My 2011 BMW e91 with 176,000 miles on the clock has both personality and functionality. Would take it any day of the week over their new boats... sorry cars
Your presentation are wonderful Harry they are such a joy to watch. Alas unless I win the lottery I will never afford to buy the cars you highlight. However I take absolute delight in watching you and how you share your knowledge and enthusiasm for such wonderful vehicles. As a child of the seventies I love the period pieces of all the cars from the 70’s to 80’s especially. Cars seemed to have far more identity and personality. My beloved dad who passed away many years ago had a Volvo 145E seven seater estate back in the mid 70’s I remember him traffic light racing capris and leaving them behind with me in the rear facing seats waving to them. Very happy memories. God bless you Harry and keep up tremendous work. I know you are a hero to many people like me who love to watch Harry’s garage.
Frustratingly, there were a ton of other classics in the background that I would have loved to hear Harry talk about, but admittedly he didn't have 124 hours to cover them all. Great fun! Thanks again for the tour Harry.
Love this channel. Harry your infectious enthusiasm is such a joy. Informative and factual. You can clearly hear the years of knowledge skillfully gathered and delivered with such excitement and pleasure. Just brilliant. Merry Christmas take care.
Stratos is - and always has been - just drop dead! That windscreen....!! The wedge...Just a thing of beauty! Chap near me has one, the only problem is they're so goddamn small! I'm 6' 2'' and could hardly get in/out of the thing! (guess that would save me buying one...oh, and the many hundreds of thousand too....!) Thanks again, Harry. I could watch you doing this for hours....!
Just love this man's videos. He should do audio books. The amount of time he sling information at you, you're relaxed and fall asleep listening about cars.
Another great Auction video Harry. You spent the perfect amount of time with each interesting vehicle, explaining what we would want to know. Thank you.
That thing is going to bring massive cash assuming it's not a kit. Haven't gotten to that part of the video. Edit: ok it's a real one. Someone is going to be writing a big check for that one.
Just window shopping here is an experience!😂 Wow, so many Ferraris but there's only one for me, the 1978 512BB, a poster car from my youth, beautiful!👍 Another favourite Ferrari is the Daytona and that repro with the V12 jag engine certainly looks interesting. The numbers just don't add up on some of these restored classics, "£100k spent with a guide price of £60k" but great news if you're in the market for one of course.😃 The restomod of the show for me has to be that very special XJ4.2C, built by Tom Lenthal so you know it'll be fully sorted and what a great gesture by Tom to build and donate it to charity in memory of his friend Emma who sadly passed away. ❤️
If you go to the Iconic auction youtube channel you can watch the auction live (I believe)... It's always a LONG stream but fun to see what they go for.
Yes, would be nice if Harry could follow-up with the results. Otherwise it only feels like half a video. Plus I need to know for sure I can’t afford something…
Iconic Auctioneers have the video up on TH-cam (recorded live earlier today Saturday) and it gives the sale prices. "The Iconic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2024 - Cars"
Harry dodged all the cars I like 😂, British mainly like that fabulous Mauve coloured XJS and the Dolomite Sprint. I had 2 for years in the 80's. Fabulous cars
umm no, the Sprint was hardly "fabulous"... I had one from almost new (yellow with the black roof) and it was clearly made for the "English" climate. Take one to Australia and watch them overheat, play up, break down while getting creamed by cars such as the 240Z. Wouldn't have one as a gift.
@GM-fh5jp my 2 Sprints were fabulous. Owned them for 15 years, never left me stranded. Then I bought a Stag. That was amazing too for 12 years. Can't stand Jap cars. Got another notorious reputation car now SL55 AMG. This has not let me down either in last 8 years. Preventative maintenance is key
Harry, what an amazing collection of cars! you should be in sales....I wanted to buy every one you showed us!! Youre a great asset to this auction house ! Just love these videos
YESSS 🙌🏼 Please Harry, do a video review of a Ferrari 512BB, that would be fantastic!!! I absolutely love it when you review classic cars. Love the new cars as well, but the classics is where my heart is 🥰
How nice, I remember going to Wembley and seeing the "Star Talks" Rally show at Wembley in 1978 , the Rally Drivers chatted and there Rally Cars were there too, ,Thanks Harry for your great uploads, and best wishes to yourself, loved ones and fellow viewers,
That CSL is beautiful just wosh we could see a side view the Tickford Capri looked good too only 85 were made super rare ❤and Harry is 100% right regarding the 430 does look better as time passes 😊
Nice to see Harry keeping the thread of his last Garage post about enjoyable cars to drive… most of the newer stuff leaves me cold … and the depreciation unthinkable. A great fast , capable road car never gets old. That’s why my 996 GT3 Mk1 Clubsport is here to stay… totally engaging, analogue to fix and narrow enough to not crap yourself round most roads !! 👍
A friend of mine bought a lime green Stratos from Hans Stuck in Munich in the 80’s. He let me drive it up the Autobahn. I chickened out when I got to about 230KPH because it got very twitchy. Short wheelbase I assume - great for rallying but not so good at high speed on the Autobahn.
Always enjoy looking at these cars that I'll never in my life be able to afford a single tyre off of, but even so. I've always loved cars. I have seizures so I cannot drive, but I hope one day they stop so I can, I would love nothing more.
I love looking at them and I can't afford them either. Then again I'm not exactly built for these cars. I'm 6'2"and 235 lbs and a former powerlifter so I'm a bulky guy across the shoulders, upper back and quads. Cars like these make me claustrophobic. I sat in a Corvette C8 when I had my Silverado serviced and it felt like a coffin inside. My arms were pinned to my ribs while holding the steering wheel. It was cool to sit in it but I'd last about 3 miles before wanting out. Even a Camaro or Mustang is really uncomfortable and they are reasonable inside.
I just love the classic car market. Series 2 RS Turbo sitting next to exotic hypercars. You couldn't give them away in the early 2000s. Now worth a fortune.
Don't think, just do. It's only going to cost more for both the shipping and the cars tomorrow, then the next day and the next etc. This market is in a slump right now, and more conflict is on the cards in the middle east meaning easterly shipping routes $$$+.
That was great Harry....like you I am a sucker for a Group4 Stratos....nearly dealt on one at a classic car dealer in a mews garage in London 25 years ago - a proper 24v Group4 example. Sadly that would be out of reach today. Some lovely lots there again....as ever Nicks team have pulled it out of the bag...again The Abarth 131was a cracker. Someone potentially could get a bargain there. The star for me was more humble and didn't feature on your walk round .the mint Sapphire Blue Dolomite Sprint with under 12k miles....where did they find that peach!
The Porsche 991 Club Coupe, one of only two RHD out of 13 worldwide, was originally bought by a friend of mine who sadly passed away a few years ago. Has popped up for sale a number of times at a wide range of prices! It was originally open to members of Porsche Club GB to enter a draw to purchase the one example (the other RHD was to Hong Kong) and Mike's name came out of the hat. Basically a 991 C2S with ceramics and uprated engine and a nice interior.
Since my formative years of watching the early Miami Vice episodes, featuring the corvette-based Ferrari Daytona repli-cars, I’ve always had a soft spot in my old, cold heart, for the iconic European recreations based upon rock-solid American drive trains…
I hope Tom's Jag, Emma, goes for a good amount and to a good home. It'd be nice of the new owner to let you have a go in it, Harry, I hope you get the chance.
No need to rush, I would happily watch you check out every car there.
Me too 😀
I prefer Charlie holding the camera as he tends to give us better views of the cars
Only 40 mins? I would happily watch this for hours!
Go watch the auction itself here on youtube. I managed the first two hours last night.
Absolutely
This video is the perfect example of both Harry's wild enthusiasm for cars but also his bewildering depth of knowledge. Imagine spending the day with him at a place like this - magical!
Bewildering is the word! I'm sure he does some research, but the way he pulls facts out of thin air about quite obscure vehicles is extraordinary!
Harry use his cars, many of these are never ever used after 10-15 years 🤦♂️
If I won the lottery I wouldn't tell anyone... but there would be signs
Would take it any day of the week over their new boats... sorry cars
@@SWR112that was my first thought exactly.
If I won, the first thing I'd buy would be a warehouse to hide my "signs" in.
This made me spit out my tea 😀
harry is number 1. please do long form auction reviews harry your knowledge genuinely informs. wonderful work. thank you.
Great to see Emma went for £63,000, from the videos I’ve seen Tom has poured his heart and soul into it
Harry is the best Motoring journalist bar none every video he does is a gem
It`s always pure pleasure to see how absolutely stoked you are about cars. Keep up your enthusiasm.
Back to the proper metal. Priceless. Thank you Harry!
The master at work. Thank you Harry for yet another riveting tour. If these auctions went to 4 hours I'd happily watch it twice.
I truely love these preview video’s of auctions. My absolute favorites. Thank you Harry.

Absolutely wonderful as always Harry ! I love when you do these tours at auctions 😊
Frustratingly, there were a ton of other classics in the background that I would have loved to hear Harry talk about, but admittedly he didn't have 124 hours to cover them all. Great fun! Thanks again for the tour Harry.
This channel is like a warm blanket.
I'd love to see you do a post-auction review where you look at the actual sale values vs guide price.
would be glued to that.
Agreed, just an edit with the hammer price script added. Wouldn't take much work Harry😂
Harry, each time I see these videos from you I want to mortgage my house. Your enthusiasm for these automobiles is infectious! Thanks
Love this channel. Harry your infectious enthusiasm is such a joy. Informative and factual. You can clearly hear the years of knowledge skillfully gathered and delivered with such excitement and pleasure. Just brilliant. Merry Christmas take care.

3 minutes of watching Harry and I’ve convinced myself I’m a Haynes Manual of everything!
Do you always refer to the dealer for any problem?

Be interesting to see the sale results Harry after your video on the deprecation in the classic car market

Kid in a sweet shop springs to mind…. Harry is actually drooling… Brilliant 🤩
Harry is so good at doing auction preview videos. He has so much knowledge on cars, i always looking forward to these.
A lovely stroll down memory lane with so many belting cars. Vanquish are now insane value, 599 a long standing favourite of mine. Great video Harry.

I love these videos! Watching them from the west coast of America means I can't splurge my kids college savings on one of these beauties.

So glad I could attend this years show
Thanks very much Harry that 599 is glorious.
Your enthusiasm shines through. Some lovely cars and hopefully with the market softening, drivers rather than speculators will be buying.

I bloody love these auctions videos with harry 😊
Beautiful, thank you Harry...!
A great watch Harry thank you, I would never have the confidence to purchase at auction, even after 54 years of buying cars all from retailers. 😁
Kid in the candy store. Great video Harry. Many thanks.
Really wish we’d seen under the cobra’s bonnet
Some proper drool worthy cars 🤤
