NASA’s ARTEMIS PROGRAM TO THE MOON

NASA's Artemis program aims to return humans to the lunar surface and establish a sustainable presence on the Moon for exploration and scientific discovery. The uncrewed Artemis I mission successfully launched in November 2022, sending the Orion spacecraft on a 25-day journey around the Moon and back to Earth, paving the way for future crewed missions. Artemis II, scheduled for 2024, will be the first crewed flight test of Orion, taking astronauts farther into space than ever before. The historic Artemis III mission will land the first woman and next man on the lunar south pole region in 2025, conducting groundbreaking science and testing technologies for future Mars exploration. With the Artemis program, NASA plans to collaborate with commercial and international partners to build a lunar outpost and Gateway space station, facilitating deep space exploration for the benefit of all humanity.
