Icebreaker is on my TBR, and I'm due for a reread of Ex Hex. I like the Waterstone's edition of Godkiller, though the Illumicrate's back cover looks really nice. 📖

Icebreaker sounds fun, the characters sound like a cdrama called unicorn girl I only started watching but the protagonist are a hockey player and a figure skater as well.
Oooo I haven't heard of that drama but I love C-Drama's so will definitely check that out - hopefully it's available to watch on Viki!
Personally I do prefer illumicrate's edition of godkiller. I really love the darker more muted/evening vibes
I love anyone who adores ACOMAF as much as I do. Rhysand is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends. You need to try out some of my other childhood favorites like the Trinity Trilogy series by Audrey Carlan, the Hex Hall series by Rachel Hawkins, and the Wicked series by Nancy Holder and Debbie Vigiuie. Those books kind of put me in a trance. You'll love them. I know I did.

I like both Godkiller editions, but I think I like the illumicrate better, just because I like those colors better than sepia colors

Maid-sama is an anime that really can only be enjoyed in Japanese. The English dudded is so bad in my opinion. It’s a great anime and I wish there was more than one season.

The only time i have bought a special edition was when i had my 50th Birthday . I have always loved Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking glass so i got the Penguin Clothbound edition for display and i have my reading copy.

You make me feel better about my obsession with buying special edition books haha! I'd love to see more collective hauls like these. They're really fun to watch and it's your money so I don't think anyone should be judgemental about what you choose to spend it on. I also got the 'Ninth House' duo and I adore those books. Hopefully you do too. I completely agree about that edition of 'Godkiller' looking sunbleached. It was my exact reaction lol. It's still pretty though. Erin Sterling's books are favourites of mine as well - she also writes YA books under the name 'Rachel Hawkins' - I'd be curious to hear what you think about them!

I accidentally ordered the same book twice from waterstones, so I tried to cancel one of them, but ended up cancelling my Godkiller preorder by accident. would they reinstate the order? no. so now I just watch other people enjoying their copies and sulk.

I also prefer the Waterstones edition of godkiller - i didn’t realise what the book for January’s illumicrate would be until too late so I do still have my illumicrate edition but I don’t know… I prefer the colours and autumn vibes of the Waterstones one

It is. I spend a fair bit on books but don't usually buy more than one version of a book. I did buy a special edition of Alice in Wonderland for my 50th Birthday, the clothbound penguin edition which i have on my shelf with my reading copy.
