Quick update: Since the recording of this video we have licensed the Blu-Erebus 45 for a future volume of Brown Acid! 🎉 For all your Brown Acid needs, please check us out here: www.permanentrecordsla.com/store/c75/Brown_Acid.html
Love your channel! I've been a 45 junkie ever since my Dad let me start playing his collection when I was 3 years old! He was a DJ for local dances in the 60s. So a great range of 50s RnB and 60s garage, psych and soul tracks up to my favorite as a kid...Whole Lotta Love! My other faves back then were Nazz "Open My Eyes" and The Bubble Puppy "Hot Smoke and Sassafras"! Thanks for sharing all your amazing finds! Keep on digging
45 junkies unite! DJing is what got me obsessed too! "Whole Lotta Love" is a stone cold classic. I love the Nazz and Bubble Puppy too. I wish I could license "Under The Ice" for Brown Acid, but unfortunately it's an untouchable major label record. Thank you for your comment! I'll keep digging if you keep watching!
Fantastic video as always. Sold a lot of BA but still have a bunch left to complete my personal collection. Not a bad song on any of them. Can’t wrap my head around how you guys do it. And two each year!! Inane. You rock Lance. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support with Brown Acid! The 18th Trip will be out in just a few months and we'll easily make it to 20 Trips (and beyond)! Cheers!
Also heard a bunch of those recordings on the Arf Arf Records comps back in the day. Beyond the Calico Wall etc. Cant believe you own some of those! No picture sleeve no problem! I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for sharing and I'm happy you are promoting some of the greatest obscure bands from that era!
Arf Arf did some great comps. I've had "Beyond the Calico Wall" for many, many years. Brown Acid is one of the few comps that is fully licensed. Always stoked to share and champion the underground underdog! Stay tuned for more unsung obscurities from yesteryear! Cheers!
Wow! You’re the guy who digs up all the fantastic obscurities that go into the Brown Acid comps?!?! I am indebted to your service as they are by far my favorite comp series! I think I have all the editions up to Trip 17 & 18 that I still need! Thanks for sharing these amazing RnR artifacts! Yes!! ✨✌️👽✨ Also I have to give props to Numero Group as well as The DarkScorch Canticles & Acid Nightmares were mindblowers too!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for buying the first 16 Brown Acid comps! It's a labor of love and I love sharing these jams with people like you!
Lance you are a true music archaeologist and curator extraordinaire! Thank you for your service and keeping this music alive and kicking, I have Brown Acid 1-10 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, kindly. It's a labor of love and it's very nice to have my hard work appreciated. The pleasure is all mind! Only 7 more Trips (as of today) to complete the collection ;)
You mentioned that Missouri is near and dear to your heart Are ya from MO? I currently live in St Louis and I love it! We have some really cool record stores! Dead Wax, The Record Space, Planet Score, & Vintage Vinyl!
Killer selections, was familiar with some for sure. I bet you know it, maybe have it, but Gold "No Parking" on the b-side of their single with Summertime. Incredible! Maybe its even on one of the Brown Acid comps? Enjoyed this though
Thanks for your comment and for subscribing! No need to take notes. Just pull up the track listing for my Brown Acid compilations and you'll have all the info at your fingertips. The liner notes get into the nitty gritty as well. Available on CD and LP at PermanentRecordsLA.com. Cheers!
Hello I heard your video with Jonas from Sweden, interesting conversation but I missed the name of this ID album (know only of Inner sounds of ID (another group?
This is only the tip of the iceberg! Leave some room on your eBay search list...there's plenty more where these came from. Unfortunately, I don't think the original master tapes survived, but we got the next best source.
Every time I took really strong acid I lost the ability to operate hi-fi's or records. I remember planning to listen to trippy music but it felt like trying to join Mensa making it happen lol.

Hello again
I have not the money for buying all your 18 Brown Acid comp, but maybe some, thanks....
Thanks for your support regardless of how many you can afford to buy. Even one is better than none! 🙇
I always thought that was the greatest name for a comp
Great minds!
Hello I heard your video with Jonas from Sweden, interesting conversation but I missed the name of this ID album (know only of Inner sounds of ID (another group?
thank you for watching that video! The Id I talked about is a different group different group. The title of the album is “where are we going”?
So many cool 45s, the wantlist is growing 😅 Moon blood from original tapes??
Thanks!

And 🇦🇺…on the Second/Third/Fourth Trip
Forgive me for failing to leave Australia off of the list. Honored to have been album to license Ash and Chook for Brown Acid!
Every time I took really strong acid I lost the ability to operate hi-fi's or records. I remember planning to listen to trippy music but it felt like trying to join Mensa making it happen lol.
😂 Drop needles, not acid.
When Moon Blood?
