I was actually confused about the whole single player thing because I stumbled on this video from the almighty algorithm. The way you were talking I thought several times you were maybe doing some sort of multiplayer thing. You do have a lot of buddies lol. Quality role playing there.
Honestly, this is a rather enjoyable watch! The roleplay element certainly made it more interesting than a straight playthrough, although I think it'd be nice to have some kind of "storyteller" system to apply problems and boons to you as you need them (Such as just occasionally blighting your crops, or having actual equipment failures). Do any of those exist as mods yet?

Awesome! I love this approach to build a farm from the ground up, pretty much sums up how my own farm was built from the time my grandfather owned it. Lots and lots of changes has been made during those years, as the market has changed. I am a bit sad that you sold that first truck though, that thing was a real beauty! Besides, that 250 you traded it for, has got black smoke. Somebody tuned that one way out of specs, or it really needs a service by now. Why? Did he abuse it a lot? I can only hope that it will last as long as you need it. Sidenote: why are you carrying that bucket on the loader tractor all the time? I would set that aside as soon as I didn´t need it anymore. Also, IDK how FS22 treats this, but sun also damages a lot of equipment, first and foremost tires and hoses, which are pretty expensive. After some heavy rain, though - all you have to do is grease up a bit, and you´re good to go. Rust is not a big worry on ground working implements IMO. You would want to powerwash them, grease them and treat them with some sticky oil through the winter, but a little rust on the surface won´t make a big difference. They can easily be stored outdoors. The build cost of housing them would be way more than what their value would drop. Seeders, sprayers, balers, combines - they should all be kept inside. The rest will be fine outdoors. One pet peeve of mine, though - how the h3ll did you manage to get a crop at all, sowing into a plowed field? You should at least need a harrow to prepare the field after plowing or it would be a complete disaster. 50:00 - That guy has to be tied on to something else. There is no other way a 6 ton tractor with a powerful winch and an anchor could not pull a 2 ton truck out of its misery. Let´s say his front axle was caught behind a stubble. The tractor would pull the car away, and the front axle would be left behind that stubble. In no scenario would the tractor be moving backwards. And that rockpicker, as a Scandinavian, I have tons of rocks everywhere. We only use rockpickers from Finland, they´re called Kivi-Pekka and they pick a field 6m wide. For larger rocks, we use a front loader and a fork specially made for picking rocks. Oh, and your planter is actually missing the fertilizer tank. All those small ones are for seeds. There should be a large tank for fert. But they included a dirt bike, as that´s really important to farming! Planting with the 1250 actually seemed slower than plowing with the 4240, which is pretty mad. Planting has always been about twice as fast, as you don´t really do any tilling. The ground is very loose, and the equipment is built to measure out by distance rather than speed. Speed will be a concern later, if you want to spray or fert your crops a bit more. Planting, you´ll be making a solid 6mph, maybe more, while plowing is limited to about 4-5 mph if you want it done properly. Discing is also best off with going about 6-10 mph. Now, tearing down an old barn might seem like a good idea due to the idea of progress. However, if you´re low on cash, any roof will do. Just put your simpler implements inside, and they will be better off than staying outside. When you´ve got the tools to farm everything, THEN you can tear it down. Or, if you could mend that roof, store your hay there until you´ve got everything else going.

Great video. I would like to suggest that when browsing "used" equipment, maybe use them a bit off camera to get them at least a little dirty? But then again, I'd imagine most dealers would clean them up before sticking them on the lot.
Only crap that is on those is little bit of dust from sitting in the lot, so yes those do get cleaned. Only on winter shop might skip it, if they are running very small operation essentially with out any workspace, but these days hot water pressure washers are not "that" expensive so one could clean them on winter outside long as shop is warm enough to stop washer from freezing and has water, so that would be essentially everyone.
Yeah you did and AMAZING job with this video. I look forward to the rest of your videos.
I watched this whole thing in one sitting LoL, best fs22 content ever
Best role play farming ever (that I have watch)
Must be nice to be living with such generous neighbors :D
Honestly it's not too far off what it's like irl. A lot of the farmers around me will trade to use eafh others resources or equipment
Do a season 3
You keeped me entertained for 2 hours please do a second episode
My wife was watching this in the other room and i thought you were actually starting a farm somewhere and talking to neighbors. Lol its just a game tho
Love it keep up the good work
i love the rp aspect to this. Adding in that stuff really made this very entertaining to watch.
love this! but I think you forgot to help out your neighbour who gave you the combine harvester? weren't you supposed to seed and harvest it but then decided to wait a year. Not sure you ever got around to it haha
