Something felt so "go for broke" with this album, Nate Ruess found out you can't do it twice without looking like your begging (he had a solo album with the same kind of go for broke energy, and it failed and has since retired from music)
Nate Ruess, the lead singer, is the man that Eminem has featured on Headlights and Nate and Pink sing Just Give Me A Reason together (the best live version is the 6 minute VH1 Storytellers version).
This song won a Grammy for Song of the Year and the band won Best New Artist. Three songs from the Album, Some Nights, were top 20 hits. Saw the comments about Nate Ruess. Another band member. Jack Antonoff, is a major producer - Taylor Swift, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, and several more. I think he’s received 10-11 Grammys, most recently as Producer of the Year 3 years straight (2022, 2023, 2024).
Some added context…lead singer Nate used to sing in a band called The Format who are phenomenal. The guitar player Jack used to play in a band called Steel Train & now heads up The Bleachers. He also basically wrote every Taylor Swift & Lorde song in the last 10 years.
He didnt basically write every Taylor Swift song in the last 10 years wtf are you smoking, she writes her own stuff go away with your misinformation bs.
@@ArianaH3ART it's very common knowledge that Jack co-wrote and produced everything Taylor has put out since reputation. if you have been listening to Jack's personal material from back in the day, you can clearly see that since reputation, her style changed, all b/c of him. I reccomend you go listen to the entire reputation album and then listen to Steel Train's "Trampoline" album and tell me they don't sound very very similiar. I'm not dogging on T Swift, but she's NOT a 1 woman show who is sitting in a room writing all of her stuff in isolation.

This band dropped one of the biggest albums of this century and then peaced out.
Truth 😂

@@My0wnSavi0r now Jack Antonoff one of the member makes music with Taylor Swift.

“Carry on” by Fun is incredible as well
I was 23 when that song came out. That night, I was young.

Childhood classic
I saw them do this live, opening for J Cole at the dew tour event in Brooklyn, fucking savagely good.
Nostalgia
Echoing the others Nate and Pink - Just Give Me a Reason. His voice is fantastic
Please watch the original video featuring Janelle Monae.
Truly amazing!
5:50 Man, those smiles truly say it all
The Alvin Risk remix is one of my favorite songs from my high school days
Everytime I hear this it reminds me of the Sketchy parody We're Not Young.
Their song “Some Nights” is so much better, as well as “Carry On”

1- until the ribbon breaks - taste of silver
2- death grips - hacker (my favourite)
I love this song 🩵
Oh boy the live version is a let down
The live is so bad...
He needs to work on his stamina. He’s so out of breath that he can’t stay pitch. Sad and hard to listen to. 😢
This is a hit song. Like six years ago. In fact it was in a Chevy commercial in like 2018 lol but love the channel.
May bad 13 years ago. 2011 😂
2012
So the whole album this song is from was actually produced by Kanye West. You know, pre-craziness.

One hit wonder from about 10 years ago. This song was way overplayed to annoyance
They had a few hits around the same time.
