The "something" is that he's jealous. He wants to see her. 12:55 a fantastic story. It's from an old telefilm, set in Florence in 1909. In Italy some singers used to make some telefilm to promote their songs. Rita Pavone recite as a boy, so rascal to be sent in the "collegio" (like a prison for rascal kids, to educate them). In this collegio they eat alweys soup... Soup and soup... And he organize a revolution to require the "pappa col pomodoro" (food whit tomato). 14:56 is a remastered of "It's a lonely town", a sad love song. Is anyone else in like… a deep state of mourning over this movie? Though I can go back and watch the movie at any time, I still feel like it’s gone. It was only here for that one day on June 18th, and now all the excitement leading up to that day is gone and it’s just… empty. I miss Luca and I miss Alberto and I miss Giulia and it’s honestly kind of too much. But that’s how you know when a movie is good when it has such an affect on you.

Reading off the creator's interviews and behind the scenes, one can see just how much love , passion, and heart was put into this film. The fact that Luca is largely based on Mr. Casarosa's own childhood experiences really gave this film its own lovely charm. This isnt just some corporate cashgrab, this movie is literally a love letter. To Italy, To the real Alberto, To Childhood friendships ❤❤❤
I wish we could have discovered this film in theater. The aesthetic, the visuals are so beautiful that in this dark room and the gigantic screen.. damn it must be something!
Luca was honestly such a refreshing movie. Never felt like there were any motives or agendas behind it. Just felt like a movie made with love, personality and thought behind it. I wish there were more movies like it nowadays.

I feel dumb, one of the reasons I love the movie this much is because of the song Il gatto e la volpe ahahah 🦊 I remember my dad singing it when I was little and we were on summer vacation, spending all the days swimming and imagining to be a sea creature in disguise. And reading the Almanacco di Topolino when it was to hot to go out.

It was very predictable, but what's wrong about it? I didn't expect this story to be unpredictable but at the same time, even tho it was very conventional, it was absolutely amazing. I loved how they played with this convention as well. It was simply amazing, and I don't understand why just because a film is predictable it means it has to be boring. I guess it depends on expectations - but still, I don't understand how can one watch a Disney film and expect something unpredictable.
@@adambra100 The expectation of "everything from Pixar has to be an absolute masterpiece" really hurts Luca. This movie is all just about having a good time, and it doesn't try to do anything more than that. I love it more than the majority of Pixar movie just for this reason.

This is the first time I'd ask myself "Why am I so concerned to this movie?" - Is it because it's simple? - Is it because the story is original and it compared to our youthful days? - Or is it because it's Italian? I clearly don't know. I mean I can rewatch the movie at anytime and anywhere, and yes it always brings me hope whenever I start the film. From the moment I finished the movie, it's to the point where I'm happy and downcast at the same time. All in all this movie is one of my favourite Pixar film ever 🇮🇹💙

This sound track is exactly what I would have expected for a Disney movie focused on Italian culture and I love it. This movie was especially meaningful because my family watched it together after a long day of vacation activities on a warm summer day in 2021. Every time my 3 year old daughter watches this movie I think about that time and look back with fond memories, despite what was going on in the world at the time. Good memories.
My family tried our best to learn some Italian before Valentines day when we took a virtual toor of Italy. Its a beautiful language and I’ve always wanted to visit the country, but this movie made me extra sad that I can’t go yet :((((( i absolutely loved this film

The last song (Cittá Vuota) is SO DAMN WELL PICKED. It has that chill Italian summery beat, but it's also very melancholic and nostalgic, like saying "I'm happy for what I've lived and I cherish those days... But I'm also kinda sad because they're gone" Perfect choice.

Luca is literally one of the most heart touching movies I've ever seen. I mean, it doesn't even have a sad ending but I still cried for over an hour after finishing it. I think it's mostly because I really did have an "Alberto" in my life and I haven't met her in years after we moved. And I miss her as hell
This was such good and wholesome film. As a new mother to my first baby, it was so endearing. I can't wait til my baby grows up and has such adventurous memories to make.

He wasn't dead, he just said 2 guys hanging out with each other are gay and didn't play with me anymore. I dont care what anyone says. Luca is one of the most Pixar movies. A world inside of the world that doesn't take itself to seriously. Lighthearted and whimsical. Instant classic.
I know the movie seems simple to a lot of people, but the simpleness of it just enhances that whole viewing experience. I absolutely loved this movie with all my heart despite what anyone says, and I'm sad I can only experience it with new eyes once. I really wish they make a sequel that isn't bad for this movie, or not that's alright too. Aghh I just can't express how much I love the visuals, music, and story of this film! 💞

The last song (Cittá Vuota) is SO DAMN WELL PICKED. It has that chill Italian summery beat, but it's also very melancholic and nostalgic, like saying "I'm happy for what I've lived and I cherish those days... But I'm also kinda sad because they're gone" Perfect choice.

Luca is literally one of the most heart touching movies I've ever seen. I mean, it doesn't even have a sad ending but I still cried for over an hour after finishing it. I think it's mostly because I really did have an "Alberto" in my life and I haven't met her in years after we moved. And I miss her as hell

I absolutely loved this movie with all my heart despite what anyone says, and I'm sad I can only experience it with new eyes once. I really wish they make a sequel that isn't bad for this movie, or not that's alright too. Aghh I just can't express how much I love the visuals, music, and story of this film! 💞
it’s something abt the beginning of the end credits song before she starts singing. it reminds me of scene from the movie where there was either much excitement, or it was tense. and it makes me very emotional cause i wish i could see it again for the first time. i actually really loved this pixar movie it’s definitely their best in the past hmmm 9 years ?

they are almost all really old songs from end of 50's and 60's the gold pop italian music era only El gatto e la Volpe is more recent i think was wroten in the 80's, i simply love the last one, citta vuota sang by Mina is a piece of art.
