Good to know. I'm in the Fuquay Varina area. I have a small farm and forever have had a garden and have canned the food I have grown. About 2 years ago I got a food dehydrator and that changed everything as far as putting up food. I still can food but I am learning to dehydrate about everything. I gradually slipped into becoming a prepper. You tube has been a help learning. I love channels like yours. Yours is now a favorite. I love seeing what you are doing next and thinking of.
i like that stove and oven you have in this vid and up here kero is easy to get and it stores good also as of now i have a small propane camping stove with the coleman oven and my bbq grill with the side burner we use durring power outages in the summer and winter we use our woodstove to cook on and heat our house with
We've heated our home for 5 yrs. with wood burning the stove. No heat bill , but my family has a lot of wood chopping to do. ( I dust more often) We've gone thru more wood this winter ! Buying "stay awake pills" from the drug store . No use storing up if we can't stay awake to keep guard. Also saving dryer lint for fire starter.
Another Good Alternitive is Empty Tuna Cans , Filled With Carboard Strips , With Pariffin Wax Poured into. This Means No Chopping Wood , No Charcoal Brickettes . And Just in Case the Propane and or Kerosene Runs Out . These Cans are Easy to Store , Easy to Make and Does Not Go Bad
Well, the mail man came, I got my stove, assembled it and have it sitting on my regular stove top at the moment. Quality seems good, gonna use it to cook breakfast in the morning (nuking up some leftovers for tonight's supper). Will order another #2412 next week and then place order for oven w/ 16 wick stove after that. So now I have two 10K-btu kerosene heaters, 2 oil lamps and a cooker, w/ 25 gallons of kerosene. It's a good feeling to have these things on hand, should never be without them.
Have you tried that larger kerosene stove for canning? I have a large 41.5 quart canner and am considering one of the 14000 btu Butterfly stoves. Any info would be great. Thanks: Craig
@imstillworkin I Have Used These Pariffin Fire Cans , in the Boyscouts for Heaters and to Cook on . One Lasted Me a Whole Year with about @ 12 Hours Use . These can Be Extinguished , by Smothering the Flame , and Reused , Over and Over Again . I Have Used ONE " Vegitable Can " Sized , in the Barbeque , Instead of Charcoal Brickettes . As by TNGuns Video , These Devices Puts Out Lots Of Heat .

Very nice oven... and the price seems reasonable too. Thanks for the tip!

Do you have to prep the mop strands in anyway to use as wicks?
I ordered the butterfly 2412 model the other day from St Paul's and delivery is due today.
Can't wait for it to arrive.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF A SOLAR OVEN? I AM THINKING OF GETTING ONE. THEY SEEM TO WORK WELL IF YOU HAVE A SUNNY DAY.
Good to know. I have a feeling the solar ovens work best out west and now as well here in NC and surrounding states.

did you have issues with the wick jamming. If so what did you do to solve this.
