- Chupacabra Offroad headed to Glamis for Presidents' Day weekend 2019.
Our new race RZR didn't last long, it broke down 45 minutes into the first day, but we rented a CanAm X3 Max to go out and get enough footage for a great video.
Our new videographer Nathan McBride was new to the desert scene, but did a fantastic job!

Dude this might be the best Glamis edit I have ever seen. I use to go to Glamis all the time but then all the Mexican gangs pushed out all the families. no bueno.

@@ChupacabraOffroad We use to stay across from the store but then they closed it for environmental reasons. We stayed over there for years. Then we move to the wash somewhat parallel with Boardmanville. This is before they ever had a nice road and you had to go under the tracks to get there, which was fun. However, as time passed, the gangsters showed up. We are a pretty chill group but sometimes we would ask other groups to calm down, respectfully of course. Then they would come over to our camp in numbers threatening us and people's kids. However, we had a bunch of assistant DA's with us, so we all CCed. Then they would call the police/rangers and it ended up just being a waste of time. Same thing would happen at China Wall or Olds. We then moved to Gecko Rd but the wind would get so bad sometimes. As we all got older we just stopped going. We have videos of some of the altercations if that would help detour your "fake news" claim. Great video, though.
@@ThePerpetualStudent Your other comment sounded like "gang activity" was something that happens today or recently, sounds like this was some time ago. I only went to Glamis twice around 2001-2003 and it was very wild, a lot has changed since then, and from what I've been told from friends that have been duning at Glamis for decades.

Crazy land out there, I used to be a deep sand guy , ran a mazzone mid engine sand car , now I like baja and desert riding, ,mojave etc. keep it safe and have fun

Not sure how you ended up in my feed but that was cool. I live in Hawaii now but grew up in So Cal and Phoenix. Spent my childhood till we moved to the island spending the winters at Glamis and the summers in the River or Canyon Lake outside Phoenix. So many great childhood memories that carried thru to me letting my kids and now grandkids experience the same thing. We always had a jet boat, sandrail, atc's and dirt bikes in the garage.
I gotta be honest, living in Hawaii is pretty great......but watching your video made me homesick and I wish I was back in Phoenix with my garage full of toys.

I grew up in San Diego, but moved to TX 21 years ago. Now that I have a rzr1000 I would love to go back and ride at Glamis. Only a 15 hour drive. 😂😂

I live 30 mins away but never been to glamis yet. I wanna go one day though when I have a good job and could afford all this. Too hot during the summer though. It’s good to go in October- December

Cool vid guys. People don't appreciate what goes into producing something like this. I'm in agreement on the music. Love the sound and feel of the outdoors and motorsports without the musical interjection, but it's a personal preference thing. You can't please everyone so do what you like and people can take it or leave it.
I appreciate and you are right, it was especially tough with a RZR that broke down, luckily we could walk to the drags to film the action. Really excited with the result and we will only get better... It's fun trying to create a video that the hardcore Glamis community likes and appreciates, I feel it should be less Vloggy and more of capturing the action.

I live in Alaska and have been dreaming for the last 15 years of making it to Glamis. I lived in AZ from 06-08 and never had the time, or a vehicle worth taking, so I never made it. I regret not trying a lot harder when I lived 4,000 miles closer.

what ecu are you using ? did you figure out why that happened?
br ed stock, we had wiring issues, got it sorted out we think...
lets hope so as you have video's to make now that you have a new toy in the fleet! you can do comparisons
Most definitely! Back to back with the race car, but I think this new car's ECU will stay stock! Haha
only reason i asked on the ecu is that i and several other run ms3 ecu's. one friend even set up a universal microsquirt ecu for his kawi brute force 4x4 quad as he added 2 inj's, went e85 and is putting 9 psi from the gt 18 turbo he added, triple the factory hp.

The tuner fried out, due to a surge in electrical power from wiring (we think). Just got it back running, will have some video soon!
