One thing I have noticed about the two secret bosses of Deltarune is that they are the only ones that have voicelines. This means that they are closer to reality than any of the other beings, since they posses a trait that one must have if they are outside of a game. So this sucker having this many voicelines must mean he is extremely close to reality, so I would suspect that perhaps that would behave very differently than the other darkners relative to their light world components.

Considering how it repeats "be not afraid" throughout the song, I like to imagine it being a hyperrealistic Speak and Say being it's actually form, like a biblically accurate angel version of the darkners. Instead of taking some humanoid form, it purposefully stays/becomes the form it would be in light world. "Be not afraid, this is my true form." Who knows, maybe this let's it communicate in the light world

"feels like an original song" definitely! When I first heard this song in an animation I saw, i actually DIDNT realize it was a deltarune fan-song until i went to the og video and scrolled down into the comments.
I know it’s funny to have it as an actual object but the idea is actually really cool when you put some thought into it. Darkners are all objects manifested into something like a person. So this gives off the idea that this Darkner got so powerful that they not only learned about the Angel and Heaven but managed to have the power to revert to their base form, giving them extreme power akin or even above a Lightner. This plus it’s ability to speak and it’s voice lines gives off a really creepy vibe
Honestly it would be much more terrifying if they were introduced as the machine, a darkner so powerful they have began to influence their true self. Imagine it being introduced as a joke, a speak-n-spell left to itself and assumed to be going off at random because the battery is going, but then when you meet them in the dark world and though they still speak like the machine their voice is now deafening.

I always imagined the foe in this fight looking like the generic "biblically accurate angel" where the speak and spell is in the center of two huge halos made out of the various keys and letters. probably with some huge wings for good measure.
Thinking about it this would be an equivalent to a real angel or seraph, for which that is its true form as an eye with a thousand wings or for them a simple normal calculator
It does make more sense in the game’s context to have it look like a somewhat large SpeaknSpell because it doesn’t change its appearance from Light and Dark worlds (giving “biblically accurate” a literal meaning as other characters can’t control whether or not they change). However a SpeaknSpell with floating letters and other stuff would work great for a character design
My headcannon for this bossfight: The secret boss of the chapter, whos a speak and spell in the lightworld actually managed to steal (at least part of) the soul from Kris (or another lightner even) to try and escape the darkworld. They absorbed the soul, but since they are still part darkner, they constandly glitch between light and darkworld sprite, seemingly in pain. They're now an amalgamation between an inanimate object, a sentient being (, and the toby fox face (omega flowey)) which seems to be in agony BUT THEY LOVE IT. AND THEY WANT EVERYONE TO BE ENLIGHTENED ASWELL.
I'd like to expand on this a bit Half of Kris's soul gets taken, halving their HP, and the boss shares some of your HP. So if kris gets hurt, it also gets hurt and vice versa Of course, the boss won't attack kris because of this. It'll only attack your team members, and once they're downed it'll attack you. However, if kris gets downed, the boss will charge an attack for one turn, and on the next turn it'll heal itself along with Kris.
I have no idea how I somehow missed heaven says until now… but I’m in shock about how good his song and concept is both as a fight theme and as a aspect of the Deltarune universe (it’s literally spelling out all the subtext for you). It’s too edgy/on the nose to be a real secret boss but it’s a insanely cool concept that I want a fangame based on!
I’d like to imagine (seeing as the secret bosses are seemingly based on the 7 deadly sins) that this secret boss is wrath, knowing the power of the soul and how it controls kris, and how the soul has perhaps hurt people, even targeting kris more often because of this knowledge, as they plan to split the link between kris and the soul by force, even antagonising the soul and referring to it as “demon”, ”sinner”, “enemy”, etc, perhaps they even wield a pair of scissors to symbolise that they wish to “cut the strings” between kris and the soul

@@sonetagu1337 probs the next one, I’ve had this theory rattling around my head that tenna (anne tenna) is the secret boss and also love interest of mike, essentially she demanded mike’s attention, making him focus more on her than spamton or whatever role he plays in the tv dark world, so he split up with her, but she still wants his love, and has gone absolutely whacky about it (like all of the other secret bosses)

I really love this idea because it rids that edge that spamton and jevil have (especially spamton) where they are fucking Goofy but absolutely have darker aspects to them and the idea of a Speak and spell boss where it's not even a sprite is really fucking funny but also unsettling and also the fact it either is a angel and prophet for heaven by saying that freedom is not the answer neither is violence to be not a afraid and that your a sinner and to let it kill you. Orrrrr that the speak and spell is saying the freedom and violence is the answer and that heaven is trying to hold it back(either are both really cool Interpretations) it just Fitts fucking perfectly
A darkner that is just a realistic png is actually a pretty scary thing in the context of deltarune since: 1) They are self-aware enough to know what they look like in the light world *2) They are self-aware enough to look like how they would in our world*

I like to think of it like your hyper realistic SpeaknSpell who is highly religious buddy telling a fricking angel that has a fetish for mind control that "Hey, your losing control on your puppet, you suck haha"
I can imagine it has two minds, both conflicting, One being like pastor or something, and it's broken parts bending what it says to be evilly or something.
Personally, I don't think you should draw a concept. The original with the floating realistic speak and spell works best in my opinion as it could open up a path for Kris' disillusionment with the dark worlds, eventually leading to Kris not recognizing darkners as feeling, living beings. Instead, Kris would only see the objects they came from (like the speak and spell here, or Lancer for example appearing to Kris as just a walking talking ace of spades.)

Now that I think about it, this feels like a Chapter 5 or 6 secret boss. Here's my thought process: Every chapter gets us closer to the Knight's victory. We don't know how many fountains that the knight needs to succeed, so we'll say 3 or 4. In chapter 1, there were only 2 fountains. In chapter 2, there were two, and Noelle, and later Berdly, almost created a third one The plan will get progressively closer and closer to completion, and I believe that in chapter 6, it will be completed entirely, at the end... And Chapter 7 will be trying to restore the world back to normal. Chapter 5 or 6 would be INCREDIBLY close to the end of the world... and as such, would justify the apparent nearing danger.
we will probably need 4 to cause a roaring, considering kris opens one at their home, the knight is probably opening one as well, meaning the knight has now gotten the advantage, its not the tipping point that secures their victory, but it was a really bad decision on Kris's end to do their little stunt

I wish Ralsei could do our homework" Reason 1: Kris [may be] the knight. This can be argued all day, I'll just land that on the table as a POSSIBILITY and move on. Reason 2: To make Susie happy. They WOULD get to hang out at their house, after all... But it's more likely that he woud have just done it to make Susie happy. Little bit far, there, but certainly possible. Reason 3: To prepare for the future. Unlikely but possible, mostly as a secondary reason. If Kris were the knight, it would be to power them up as sealing a fountain raises their level whether they've been peaceful or not but we don't know the Knight's motivations and- cans of worms aside, moving on. It does seem plausible that it would be more to make Susie happy but also to prepare for the future, but that's QUITE the rash decision, though more understandable than, say, JUST wanting to make Susie happy. Kris will have to answer for the consequences of their actions, for it is *our* choices that do not matter.
Every time I hear the phrase “you are in danger” especially when its in a robotic voice, I always think about the robot from Lost In Space “Danger will Robinson, danger”
I imagine this as the gang's first encounter with the roaring titans, the main voice/titan is the one talking to Kris to try not to save themself from the player's grasp...
I love how this is an antithesis to Heaven Says. Where as original Heaven Says is blasphemous and speaks of evil and hopelessness this speaks of hope and gives the idea that there is still time and a way to redeem yourself.

I've listened to multiple 'horror' themed songs but nothing has made me uncomfortable/nervous like this. The "Confess your sins" and "be not afraid" really gets to me for some reason If I imagine it's being spoken to me (I don't know the real lore very well other than seeing Ranboo play) it feels almost like a threat

I was under the impression it was referring to the living creatures, the darkners and lightners, standing before it. The Blood with in this great Machine world. Possibly it’s a statement that whatever is facing it is in danger and that this Speak&Spell is a threat. Alternatively, if Weird Route, it could be a warning to those alongside Kris & the Player that they are in danger. It could also be a warning to Kris, that they are going to be crushed by the machine piloting them. Whatever it is it definitely isn’t a reference and I don’t know why you would think it was one. Nice to know you have good taste tho I guess
I like to think the boss doesn't play fair One of its attacks are asking you to type somthing and having to answer it. Except you need to type the exact opposite. E.G: "spell SINNER" you spell friends "Spell VIOLENCE" you spell Peace "Spell HATRED" You spell love, etc If you type anything else, the words SINNER appear inside the box and drains 20 HP for everyone. if you answer wrong everytime it can eventually kill you and the fun gang.
I modified my friends speak and spell to have this specific set of spellings and answers, and interchange it randomly with a normal one to make him think hes going insane

It does make more sense in the game’s context to have it look like a somewhat large SpeaknSpell because it doesn’t change its appearance from Light and Dark worlds (giving “biblically accurate” a literal meaning as other characters can’t control whether or not they change). However a SpeaknSpell with floating letters and other stuff would work great for a character design

My headcannon for this bossfight:
The secret boss of the chapter, whos a speak and spell in the lightworld actually managed to steal (at least part of) the soul from Kris (or another lightner even) to try and escape the darkworld. They absorbed the soul, but since they are still part darkner, they constandly glitch between light and darkworld sprite, seemingly in pain. They're now an amalgamation between an inanimate object, a sentient being (, and the toby fox face (omega flowey)) which seems to be in agony BUT THEY LOVE IT. AND THEY WANT EVERYONE TO BE ENLIGHTENED ASWELL.

I'd like to expand on this a bit
Half of Kris's soul gets taken, halving their HP, and the boss shares some of your HP. So if kris gets hurt, it also gets hurt and vice versa
Of course, the boss won't attack kris because of this. It'll only attack your team members, and once they're downed it'll attack you.
However, if kris gets downed, the boss will charge an attack for one turn, and on the next turn it'll heal itself along with Kris.
Ohhhhh I love this idea!
The coolest thing about this is a SpeakNSpell only works if it's being controlled by someone else...

I’d like to imagine (seeing as the secret bosses are seemingly based on the 7 deadly sins) that this secret boss is wrath, knowing the power of the soul and how it controls kris, and how the soul has perhaps hurt people, even targeting kris more often because of this knowledge, as they plan to split the link between kris and the soul by force, even antagonising the soul and referring to it as “demon”, ”sinner”, “enemy”, etc, perhaps they even wield a pair of scissors to symbolise that they wish to “cut the strings” between kris and the soul

This feels like a first phase for a true final boss - where everything is hopeless and it feels like you have no chance at victory.
I really love this idea because it rids that edge that spamton and jevil have (especially spamton) where they are fucking Goofy but absolutely have darker aspects to them and the idea of a Speak and spell boss where it's not even a sprite is really fucking funny but also unsettling and also the fact it either is a angel and prophet for heaven by saying that freedom is not the answer neither is violence to be not a afraid and that your a sinner and to let it kill you. Orrrrr that the speak and spell is saying the freedom and violence is the answer and that heaven is trying to hold it back(either are both really cool Interpretations) it just Fitts fucking perfectly

A darkner that is just a realistic png is actually a pretty scary thing in the context of deltarune since:
1) They are self-aware enough to know what they look like in the light world
*2) They are self-aware enough to look like how they would in our world*

its supposed to be a sentient speak and spell toy in a mid mental crisis after learning its choices do not matter, there is also angel and heaven motifs similar to the prophecy in deltarune, so it only makes sense for you to feel religious trauma after hearing this song

Personally, I don't think you should draw a concept. The original with the floating realistic speak and spell works best in my opinion as it could open up a path for Kris' disillusionment with the dark worlds, eventually leading to Kris not recognizing darkners as feeling, living beings. Instead, Kris would only see the objects they came from (like the speak and spell here, or Lancer for example appearing to Kris as just a walking talking ace of spades.)

Now that I think about it, this feels like a Chapter 5 or 6 secret boss.
Here's my thought process:
Every chapter gets us closer to the Knight's victory.
We don't know how many fountains that the knight needs to succeed, so we'll say 3 or 4.
In chapter 1, there were only 2 fountains. In chapter 2, there were two, and Noelle, and later Berdly, almost created a third one
The plan will get progressively closer and closer to completion, and I believe that in chapter 6, it will be completed entirely, at the end...
And Chapter 7 will be trying to restore the world back to normal.
Chapter 5 or 6 would be INCREDIBLY close to the end of the world... and as such, would justify the apparent nearing danger.
we will probably need 4 to cause a roaring, considering kris opens one at their home, the knight is probably opening one as well, meaning the knight has now gotten the advantage, its not the tipping point that secures their victory, but it was a really bad decision on Kris's end to do their little stunt

Reason 1: Kris [may be] the knight. This can be argued all day, I'll just land that on the table as a POSSIBILITY and move on.
Reason 2: To make Susie happy. They WOULD get to hang out at their house, after all... But it's more likely that he woud have just done it to make Susie happy. Little bit far, there, but certainly possible.
Reason 3: To prepare for the future. Unlikely but possible, mostly as a secondary reason. If Kris were the knight, it would be to power them up as sealing a fountain raises their level whether they've been peaceful or not but we don't know the Knight's motivations and- cans of worms aside, moving on. It does seem plausible that it would be more to make Susie happy but also to prepare for the future, but that's QUITE the rash decision, though more understandable than, say, JUST wanting to make Susie happy. Kris will have to answer for the consequences of their actions, for it is *our* choices that do not matter.

I was under the impression it was referring to the living creatures, the darkners and lightners, standing before it. The Blood with in this great Machine world.
Possibly it’s a statement that whatever is facing it is in danger and that this Speak&Spell is a threat.
Alternatively, if Weird Route, it could be a warning to those alongside Kris & the Player that they are in danger.
It could also be a warning to Kris, that they are going to be crushed by the machine piloting them.
Whatever it is it definitely isn’t a reference and I don’t know why you would think it was one.
