Me, too. Saw one at Ghost Motorcycles in Port Washington, L.I., N.Y. and it just looked a dream for a 250 at that time, I think 1966 or thereabouts. I wanted one but worked at a Honda dealership and it would've been out of the question.
I was always taken by the beautiful engine casting and look of these Ducati sohc singles. As another commenter mentioned the Mach1 250 single, was outrageously fast, l was tempted, but bought a Suzuki Super Six, from Pride and Clark for £300. Might have beens, sigh.
Back in the day I always wanted a 250 Mach 1, Such style, such power & such a sound. Oh! well

I used to race a 250cc Non Desmo Duke, 24 Horos. It was great fun to ride. Quick enough for me.
That 250 narrow case desmo has an incorrect front end
