Spectre might be about the lowest offense of any vehicle, but that special is damn reliable (it never misses) and he has solid survivability because of his speed and handling. Really like knowing if someone's got one hp left and running for health, you can take them out from long range.
levischeese46 flawed actually. He is always too close when he uses napalm. He doesn't use rear attack quite right and he never uses remote bombs. However the remote bomb was probably the most underused weapon. As spectre I would drive at opponents firing missles and guns hit them with a freeze Turbo drop a bomb right as I passed them. Another way is to go straight at them head to head when you get close drop a remote bomb then jump over them.
Ya know, I loved Twisted Metal 1 and 2, but a lot of people seem to give 3 and 4 flak. I think 4's hate is justified, since it went so far away from the TM formula, but I liked 3 quite a bit. I just thought it had some wonky physics and terrible endings that always devolved into the "corrupt a wish" forum game. Other than that, I liked it.

Twisted Metal for PS4! I had so much fun playing this game. One of my most played game in my ps1 back in the day. It was my first game in the system too.
It being your first PS1 game, I can fully appreciate your feelings for it. One of my first was the original Twisted Metal which I LOVED. Then the second one came out & it was absolutely CLASSIC. To this day, that one is up there in the top two favorite games of all time for me. Had I not played those first & this one had been my first foray into the Twisted Metal universe, I too would likely feel that way about it.
Twisted metal 3, Mr Grimm is one of a INSANE opponent attacks so fast and hits real hard. With diffic HARD! I done chose Mr Grimm as my ALLY with difficult HARD, it is really worked too!
In reply to your description: Playing any game without music helps in remaining focused. I found this to be very much true when I recorded many of the Terraria boss fights. My ability to dodge and maneuver myself was so much easier to do without the music.
Also on the hangar level did you know you could shoot one of the blue panels and go into another orb? It takes you to a completely different part of the level.
I always use Rapid Fire code cus it fun! Some Twisted Metal games that you cant use rapid fire if you without gameshark codes, that sucks, but twisted metal 4 can use rapid fire when changing weapons and fire quick^^
This game really should have Shield activate and special energy 100% attack, it like use Minion's special with any cars and Massive attack from TM4. also TM Head On dont have either and because Minion not appear in HEAD ON, oh well
Im gonna say bosses are tough with difficult HARD - Darkside, Primeval (TM3) Moon Buggy, RC Car, Minion and Sweet tooth (TM4). I havent play TM BLACK with difficult HARD, it is impossible to stay alive in Drive in Movie or Snowy Ridge or any other levels! TM HEAD ON looks fun but not really hard lol

My son is a huge fan of the second game, TM:Black & TM on PS3 and he doesn't remember this one very much as he was very little when I had a copy. He was curious as to how bad it was based on his knowledge of the fourth game (which is only slightly better...and that's not really saying much).
TheMOSEPH Even with all those, it was still a very fun game to play. Priceless moments with my friends and cousins. At the end of the day, that's what only matters, FUN.
Tharja Falls While I disagree when it comes to this particular game (as I found it frustrating & annoying & too far removed from the first two), I do completely understand the sentiment. I know it well with other games of yore...many of which were, like this, less than stellar, but nonetheless provided endless hours of entertainment & fun with friends.

Man they did the specter dirty. It was probably one of the worst cars in the game. All it had was speed. Not to mention, the viper was my favorite car too..
I dunno, I just don't like this game. It just makes me feel like it was made by a bunch of guys in suits with big cigars in their mouthes, asking : "what do kids like these days?"

Spectre was my fav, I remember outrunning a homing in reverse turbo at very low hp, was such a clutch thanks to his speed.

I do have that game on PS1 and Specter is a 1996 Dodge Viper GTS.

Primeval's armor looks similar Super Axel or Sweet tooth? I think Super Axel. Sweet Tooth is stronger boss my opinion.
