I just call him "The Prodigy". Started in HS as a freshman. Started at Alabama as a true Freshman. Now he's a freak as a rookie in the NFL (what would be his senior year) at 21 years old.
He did not start at bama as a true freshman but that doesn’t take away what he’s done
That's what's crazy he's only 21 years old! Detroit's defense is going to come alive this year. Can't wait to see him and TA on the field together. BB can help Arnold get adjusted and they can both elevate each other. Having familiar faces will absolutely help them.
Branch absolutely took over that Atlanta game. Most impressive performance from a nickel CB in a single game that I can ever remember.

I think this is going to be an exellent year for Detroit's Defense.
Their DB room just got a lot more interesting, Terrion and BB in the same lineup at the NFL level was a really good call.

I thought the Lions had a snowball's chance in Hell to get either Branch or LaPorta, two of my favs in last year's draft. Turns out I was wrong. I still do not get why Brian Branch dropped so far in the draft ... and why Tom Rossi's GB Packers traded that pick to the Lions. Glad it happened, though
You are the only person I've heard say laporta was a favorite before the draft

At one point Branch was mocked to the Lions @18 last year. What a steal. And thanks goes out to GB. They allowed us to get him
So the Lions projected lineup in the secondary. Safeties - Melifonwu and Joseph. Nickel - Branch, Outside Corners - Carlton Davis and Arnold.. Backups - Robertson (Nickel), Rakestraw, and Moseley..
Branch at safety with kerby. Robertson gonna play slot
BB is a stud. He got robbed on not getting DROY because the stat line he had as a DB was far greater than Will Anderson. Sports writers don't watch film though.
Branch was great. But you’re way off base on this. Anderson had 22 QB hits, 7 sacks and 10 TFL
Branch had 2 exceptional games to start the season. But as it drug on his body wasn’t cooperating. Had he stayed healthy, I’d agree.
@@thomaswatkins3686Not at ALL Tommie. Branch had 74 tackles, 50 solo, 7 tfl, 1 sack, 1 ff, 3 picks, 1 TD, 13 PBU's.
Easily as if not more impactful as Anderson's 45 tackles, 29 solo, 10 TFL's, 7 sacks, 22 QB hits, 1 pass deflection, and 0 FF's.
Branch had more tackles, similar TFL's, more forced turnovers, and a TD and both played 15 games.
Devon Witherspoon also had a better rookie year than Anderson.

That interception against Mahomes was not easy. Watch a slow mo of that. He reacts mid stride, picking the ball out of mid air from behind his head and runs like hell right after
Branch was not a PFF top 25 under 25 guy... why? cuz putting 6 guys from the same team on that list would be ridiculous....
They won't be able to leave him off next year

There was talk of him in the first round and I (foolishly) was against that. By the time they picked him in the second round I was jumping up and down yelling at my TV, "Brian Branch! This better be Brian Branch"! Can't wait to see what he does with more time at safety this season.

Branch absolutely should have been a 1st rd pick AND he plays like he has been in the league for a few years already (as a rookie) so the sky is the limit for this kid.
