KHUSHWANT SINGH died exactly a month before I came to know about him . It was in 2014 and I was in 11 th standard , we were assigned to prepare a review of the chapter PORTRAIT OF A LADY on pretext of holiday homework . I was just surfing through the pages collecting informations when I found that he was run out at 99 . Strangely , I felt very sad for him .

Their work consists narration which is not just a story line but the way how it should be expressed.. These books are a must read.. A reader is prompted to look further.. An interest prevails.. I personally loved the architectonic qualities of these authors..

Rabindranath Tagor's Golpoguccho is one of the best. I don't know it is translated in english or not. But it depicts many aspects of life. Also his novels are out of the world. Sharatchandra Chottopadhyay's stories are so much human emotion based and it's a reflection of ancient day's socioeconomic structure and struggle of people with different situations.. both of them are my favourite

Hai helly thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Basically im not a book lover after watching your videos i have a thought of reading books. So i chose "poonachi" book first as my friend suggested me to read it. It was amazing big big thanks to yu for sharing it. So i start reading another book "life is what you make it" by preeti shenoy. Then i have read the sequal of the book "wake up life is calling" too. Its about a girl who went through many struggles in her life and atlast she overcomes from the pain, depression, agony by herself.I was almost flattered by the way of her writing. Only thing i want to ask was why dont you mention this book in your videos??

V.S. Naipaul was not Indian by birth. He was born in Trinidad and Tobago, which was then a British colony. However, he was of Indian descent, as his grandparents had emigrated from India to Trinidad as indentured laborers.

I Love works by Ruskin Bond. I became a reader because of his books. Really astonished when u said u underestimated him because of Susanna's 7 husbands. Yes its not his type of work. but I loved it too. My favourite is the short stories and novellas written around Rusty.
