I noticed you can catch Zinogre in a "charge up" loop if you manage to keep getting pods and Thousand Dragon each time he tries to electrify- it'll flinch him out of the animation most of the time.
For later comer, thousand dragon also benefits from frostcraft because the attack cost less than 1 lv3 charge. . This means elementbow with frost craft can reach 170-200dmg per hit in thousand dragon
I have 1,150+ hours in this game. I got it when it first released 4 years ago and played it a ton. Got all the jewels, killed every monster multiple times, did all the events, killed all arch tempered monsters, defeated EX behemoth, you name it. This game is so good, but sadly I have completed all the content in the game so now I don’t really play it anymore. Only time I come back into this game is to do speedruns now.
@Tio Morôni R3+triangle and circle. For playstation. If you are playing PC or Xbox then I’m not 100% sure. Simply just go in game, bring up the menu, go to hunters notes, go to weapon controls, go to bow, and then you can see all the moves and the controls on how to use them for yourself in game.
@@wendy4353 thousand dragons? It’s an ability that you can use after you buy the iceborne DLC. And if by power shot you mean the regular spread shot, you can get to it faster by just spamming shoot then press circle (if you are on PlayStation) for the spread shot
Can anyone help me understand why in these videos Thousand Dragons is amazing while whenever I try it, it has the range of a wet fart and the damage is nothing to get excited about? I'm doing much better simply spamming dragon piercers like crazy.
You need slinger ammo to make thousand dragons strong. If you do the ability with no slinger it is trash. And then obviously you gotta build your entire build around it. You need spread shots level 2 to make it most effective. As well as your usual bow skills like bow charge plus.
@@safijivvaboi5081 I was using slinger ammo! With increased slinger ammo skills, pierce boost, special ammo boost. I don't think I actually HAVE bow charge plus. How does it fit into using this particular attack? Also I forgot to use spread shot boost because I assumed pierce would be what mattered. Derp.
@@DGneoseeker1 bow charge plus allows your to charge your bow a 3rd time instead of 2 times. You can charge your bow, then do thousand dragons for more dps. Also slinger like piercing pods will be more effective than stuff like stone. You also gotta build for just max raw damage, so fatalis bow will be helpful. You gotta really make your whole build around it to make it work.
@@safijivvaboi5081 Good lord. I am so far away from being able to get Fatalis anything... I did find a bow to be absolutely amazing against Shara Ishvalda though even without using this attack much. Dragon Piercer is amazing against that guy. Does thousand dragons really have the tiny range I seem to get when using it?
@@DGneoseeker1 compared to dragon piercer it does not have that much range, it’s more like a shotgun attack, but I haven’t had any problems with the range tbh. Unless you are fighting something like kushala who is always in the air, you shouldn’t really be having range problems, it definitely shines best when you play aggressive and are close to the monster though. But it kinda defeats the purpose of the bow being a ranged weapon lol. But still, it’s satisfying seeing all those damage numbers when you grab those piercing pods and absolutely tear through the monster like butter with thousand dragons.
Guys, I am new bow user and and so confused about buying bows, thousand dragons, specially skills like critical eye and whatever. Would anyone please explain me how to mount skills on my defender bow 2, to use 1000 dragons, and how to buy a damn bow cuz i can't for some reason i try to forge a new tree--Its fuckng grey meaning not available. WTF is going on? This is pissing me off.
If you are using a defender 2 bow then the reason you can’t put skills on it is because it’s a low rank weapon still so you cannot put decorations in. You gotta progress a bit into high rank

@@legoman7041 Nope. Its thousand dragons when you use the piercing pods. I think that depending on the slinger ammo, the move has different effects. Like how with the piercing pod, the move has multiple hits if you use the piercing pod for the Thousand Dragons.
I don’t know what console you use but on PlayStation first you gotta grab slinger ammo and then take out your bow and press R3+triangle and circle at the same time. For Xbox it should be those same controls but Y and B instead since the buttons are different.
Make sure you also have the iceborne DLC installed too btw because this is an ability unique to the DLC. If you just have the base game you can’t do this attack.

Well for thousand dragons the old set you would use was the silver Rathalos set for slinger capacity up. So if you don’t got fatalis gear you could go with that.
@@zzecikk fatalis armor set bonus gives you 200 hp and 200 stamina and then you also get the skill secret for every skill in the game. It’s the best armor in the game it basically gives you everything.
@@zzecikk fatalis is the final monster you fight in the game in the iceborne dlc. He’s also the hardest fight in the game. You definitely should get a pretty good build before you take him on because he’s very hard. There is lots of guides by now on how to beat him though so those could probably help, also co-op is recommended but me personally I find him easier to beat by myself because when I do co op, he ends up killing all my teammates and then we fail even though I did not die once.
Event quest where you fight brute tigrex and all he does is drop armor spheres. Easiest way to farm armor spheres I got thousands of spheres from grinding this.
Well it’s a iceborne ability so if you don’t have the dlc that could be a reason why you haven’t seen it. If you do have the dlc, this ability can be used if you press R3+triangle and circle (PlayStation) the ability does more damage if you have slinger ammo.

How can you access tigrex evolved form this is only mhw not iceborne I update my mhw to iceborne but didn't buy iceborne so I can't access the iceborne content so how can you?
This is not base monster hunter world I am playing the iceborne dlc in this video. Both tigrex and brute tigrex are only in the iceborne dlc which you can only start after beating the base game story and obviously buying the DLC.

Picking up a Piercing Pod is the equivalent of picking up a live Shotgun Shell off the floor

I love the bow, I always hear about how fluid the long sword is but if you know how to use the bow it can be just as fluid.
