Good on point review. I had the '22 version and pre-ordered the '24 Gold Edition. As a fan of dirt racing I'm completely satisfied with the experience for a console game. Issues: - The Paint Booth needs an overhaul to make it easier and intuitive. - Setups: at this point I"m used to making custom setups in Monster Games titles but for the new / casual player its daunting. A simple info box appearing over each setting explaining changes would really help. Damage Model: obviously weak and should be improved. Caution System: doesn't work and needs to be fixed. Note that the issues above were - not - listed as being addressed on the games website. I don't understand the vocal minority on social media who are complaining about issues / fixes that they wanted in the new edition. They claim its just an overpriced 'DLC'. The games website has been direct and clear for a long time on what exactly would be included in the new edition. To purchase the new game without due diligence and then be 'surprised' and upset afterward is ridiculous.
i wish they would update the stocks, we run zl1 camaro noses nowadays, and we run open back bumpers. if they want monte carlos they should make another class for pure stocks
Yeah they should add the iRacing "fictional" cars: the Casino M1 (existing Monte), Panther C3 (79 Camaro), Eagle T1 (Thunderbird), and a hypothetical Panther C24 (newer Camaro). And possibly even throw in a Super Stock Sportsman division (appearance and technology-wise, like a cross between Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stocks).
My opinion is if your a huge dirt track fan buy the game, it is more realistic and has better features. If you’re a casual player and only play the game 2-3 times a month I probably wouldn’t buy the new game yet. Just wait until it’s on discount. As a hardcore dirt fan I think it is extremely worth it! Anyway just my opinion.
The new game is better, but the midgets are a bit too 'flat' in terms of handling. And I think they missed an opportunity with the track evolution. Some of the feature races should have really slick surfaces that reward careful throttle control. I still spend too much time at full throttle.
I think the a.i, sounds and the wingless 410s are worth it alone. It's sad though they promoted, new cars/rosters and calendar too. Like the old schemes really sucks, and like they don't race at Bristol anymore. But still hands down best racing game I've ever played. Also on the news section the first day the game was released, it said their would be new series/cars coming soon. Plus theirs a couple new tracks coming in November.

Even posted the week before it came out with a picture of the cars saying which one are you excited to race in the new game
Most of my complaints are very nitpicky at most! Biggest complaint is the 410 wingless being all fantasy guys. Little disappointed that they couldn't get any real drivers in from the ASCS. But other than that everything about the game is worthy of its purchase. Micro Sprints are my fav car in the game!
I enjoy the game for what it is instead of what its not. If all you are going to do is nitpick every little thing about the game don't play it. You guys bitch and moan and cry about the littlest things in this game and they really don't add up to a hill of beans
I played the first one as well and I have to say this. This is just a glorified DLC. They are charging almost full price for a “new” game when in fact it’s not new. 2 new series and 2 new tracks coming is not enough. They need to add a damage model 2012 did it. They need to fix cautions because I’m tired of people of wrecking or causing a wreck and able to start in front of me. There are single file restarts not doubling up every time. If you cause or if someone causes an accident or draws a caution needs to be in the back of the field. Career mode is exactly the same. Too much money and again you can race any series at any point. Just no point to continue playing at this point.
It's really fun, most of It's limitations are due to the engine. Agree with almost everything you said.
I feel that playing with a wheel is 10x better than 22, gameplay is better, just wish they would have a tutorial for set ups

Yeah they have Bud Kaeding racing in the 410s and not Tim Kaeding. Tim is more popular but don’t have his paint scheme anywhere in the game

You can tell at its core it's Nascar Heat 4 with a lot of makeup, even some of the menu noises are the same.
