I think God has been putting this on so many young peoples hearts! (I feel God calling me to make a video on it as well!!) as a teenager, I felt the exact way you did. sad music, angry music, etc changed my mood and mindset dramatically. he told me to purge all music and even content I watched online (like shows, youtube videos, etc) if it didn't honor him. that's my conviction, but if you have a particular music taste, I have found so many good christian rappers/ r&b/ upbeat (that arent corny at all) I can link my spotify somewhere for you if youd like! I have found i'm energized, joyful, and clear headed when I focus on God centered music. (its not all slow, intimate worship, it can be upbeat and uplifiting!) Id love to add that if the youtuber youre watching, the music youre listening to, the podcast you put on, etc, doesn't align with your values, beliefs, or emotions you want in your life, cut it out. what we input, we output. Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it". 1 John 2:15-17 is a good one for this particular topic as well I believe :))
Yes! I’ve had this conviction for a while and I’m seeing so many people say they’re feeling the same. And I’d loveee the link to the Spotify. I feel sm better cutting out angry and sad music, same with shows and media like you said.
