    Great work not only presenting Astrid’s case, but also coaching her along the way. I can’t be happier for Astrid to have you as her coach. What a team! 💪🏻🏆
    First comp successfully done, now let’s go for the second one in a few weeks. 🫶💪🏻
    Thank you Holly for coaching Astrid and helping her with big project. 💪🏻💪🏻

    A sweetener that doesn’t cause gastrointestinal issues is wholesale grade pure succralose which can only be purchased online in Australia. Only need tiny tiny amounts.

    Is her cardio calculated separately from her steps, meaning shes doing both steps and cardio?

    Hi Holly, I love your content. If I could have a coach, you’re definitely my first choice. Every time I see someone training for a bodybuilding show and is in a caloric deficit, they always reduce the volume of training a particular body part that they think will overpower their physique. I thought when we are in a deficit, it is difficult to grow more muscle anyway so why would it make any difference? Isn’t that the reason we have ‘growing seasons’ or bulking season etc? Thank you for doing things differently in this corner of TH-cam.

    Love these- super interesting, but if you coached her do you not have actual check in pictures of her at the end? seemed a bit odd using photos she sent to you off her phone..

      I do, I have 34 weeks of her transformation but I wasn’t given permission to use those.

    I’m the same way with macros. I like high protein and low fat generally - my coach sets my protein below what I would eat intuitively and it’s always a struggle to hit them. I wonder if you could address the protein that comes from plant foods or grains - since it’s not super bioavailable wouldn’t it be better to err on the side of higher total protein? Or only count the grams of protein from the most bioavailable sources like animal foods?

    Hi Holly , Ty for awesome content! Q: For non-ibs individuals, in order to help compliance during prep , is it ok to use Jelly lite or has sweeteners 952, 955,950 . There is a lot of hype from bodybuilders advicing not to volumize foods during prep . However , I’d like to hear your expert thoughts. Thank you

    My question is - is it ever achievable to get a lean physique whilst doing and competing in performance sport? E.g. I compete in Olympic Style Weightlifting and strongwoman and typically do large volume of work.
    I suppose it's always the balance of calories being 150cm is never great either. Just wondered your thoughts

    • @HollyTBaxter
      @HollyTBaxter  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is an excellent question! Whether you can achieve a stage-lean physique while also pursuing strongman and Olympic lifting largely depends on your individual circumstances. A significant factor is the time and responsibilities you have in your life. Also, do you desire a more balanced lifestyle then trying to persue all at once might not be a realistic goal. Most of the individuals I work with typically dedicate about 60 to 90 minutes, 5 days a week to their training.
      To reach a stage-level physique, however, it often requires a commitment of 2 times that amount of time to create the necessary calorie deficit for lower body fat percentages.
      It's important to recognize that this pursuit can negatively impact performance. For instance, when I maintain a body fat percentage of 12%, my performance doesn't match what I achieve at a higher body fat percentage, where I've found stability and optimal strength. Balancing these goals can be challenging, but it's certainly worth exploring!
