holy shit... I don't remember how many times I've been looking for those damn map pieces! and never ever found all of them. Plus the music is sooo cool.
I havent played DuckTales1 .. but played this A LOT OF YEARS AGO. Still remember this with love xD ... i never forget the GOOD MOJO ! DuckTales 2 needs to be remastered !!!
DoctorHver A remastering of this sequel would be a real awesome idea in the eyes of the show's fan community. If it were real, some players would dismiss it as inferior to the remastering of the first DuckTales NES game (partly because the sequel is not as well known), but I think there would be some improvements beyond those made to the first game in its remake, like characters gaining talking sprites for use in cutscenes, a few characters' palettes getting tweaked to be closer to the show, and being able to find the hidden treasures even on the Easy difficulty. And besides, I have my own idea of how WayForward would expand the game's story. I believe it would be as follows: The Remastered version would start at McDuck Mansion. As morning falls, Huey, Dewey and Louie are the first ones up, waking up ahead of Scrooge and even the household servants. They all agree that their life has been pretty boring over the last few days, and decide to pass the time in the mansion's basement. They find a strange piece of paper that looks like part of a treasure map. Deciding to take it to Scrooge, they barge into his room just as he's finishing up his bedtime and call out to him, wanting to show him the paper. Initially Scrooge turns them away, telling them not to disturb him, but once he's awake, clean and clothed, he heads to the living room to meet the boys. When asked what he and his brothers were doing, Huey tells Scrooge about the paper they found in the basement, and Scrooge seizes the "map" to inspect it. It turns out it IS a treasure map, and he finds the inscription "The Secret Treasure of Clan McDuck" and explains to the nephews that it belonged to his Great-Uncle Fergus and that the other pieces of the map were torn off by him and hidden all over the world. Then after breakfast, Scrooge wastes no time in setting out to claim the map's pieces, so he calls Launchpad to help him out. The pilot accepts his boss's offer, claiming that he knows the locations of the map's pieces and that each locale contains a treasure that would be of interest to Scrooge as well. So, when the player decides to visit a level for the first time, Launchpad offers survival tips for the area and explains what kinds of treasures Scrooge might find there, with Scrooge offering some dialogue of his own to go along with it this time. The hub location for the Remastered version would be Scrooge's own office, where he can swim in his Money Bin to track his earnings throughout the adventure, get special items from an "Item Shop" which Mrs. Beakley has set up, or go to the Control Center to have Launchpad pilot him to the next treasure on his list. In Niagara Falls, Scrooge searches for the fabled Crystal Flower, which blooms only once in a millennium, and which Launchpad tells him is on the far side of the falls. The nephews are absent from the Falls here, but Flintheart Glomgold is added in the middle of the level (after Scrooge finds his way out of the landslide), where he tells Scrooge to give up and that he'll never find the flower, with Scrooge insisting that he WILL beat his rival to the treasure. However, Webby still remains to tell Scrooge of Gyro's presence, and a certain Caveduck is still there to save Scrooge from the landslide with his "BUBBA SMASH!" Additionally, as the player encounters a rubber raft before meeting Gyro, Scrooge thanks him for creating the raft for his convenience. Gyro gives Scrooge an iron (golf club) that can break things his cane wouldn't. Eventually, Scrooge battles a flaming duck called the FireQuacker, and defeats it. With the nephews gone from the Falls, Scrooge now learns of the FireQuacker's presence from Glomgold, who tells him that he'll have to face that creature on his way to the Crystal Flower, while attempting to discourage him from defeating it. In the Bermuda Triangle, one of Scrooge's cargo ships has gone missing, which may be the work of Quackbeard the Pirate and his gang. The ship was carrying a famous jewel called the Mermaid's Teardrop. When the player decides to go there, Scrooge learns of the ship's disappearance from one of his workers, then telephones for his flagship to be made ready for sea, and he and the nephews board the ship as it charts course straight for the dead center of the triangle, with a vicious fog and some thunderstorms assailing them along the way. While Scrooge searches the ship for the jewel and does battle with the pirate goons, he stumbles upon Gyro who gives him a hammer. Eventually, Scrooge duels with Quackbeard himself, and claims the Mermaid's Teardrop upon defeating him. This scene's script references the episode "Bermuda Triangle Tangle," and to a lesser extent, the pirate scene in "Time Teasers." The Scotland scene is a loose throwback to the episode "The Curse of Castle McDuck." The ancient castle, which originally belonged to Fergus, is now ruled by an evil sorcerer who guards the Lamp of Eternity, so named because its flame will never run out. The castle itself is haunted, and is full of the sorcerer's minions, including lantern-wielding animated severed hands, knights, Druids, and a Ghost Hound. Scrooge next travels to the island continent of Mu, where the Lost City of Atlantis is submerged in the waters offshore. The city's sanctuary is home to the Tablet of Rapa Nui, a mysterious stone plate with great magical powers. Scrooge explains the Legend of Atlantis to the nephews once they've sailed to the island, and as they advance through the level, the boys find a secret note on the floor saying that if a stone is sunk into the sea, the city will appear. Scrooge soon finds a stone, and once he sinks it down, Atlantis does rise from the ocean depths. Eventually, Scrooge has to face a Golem Duck and defeat it to claim the tablet. For the last treasure, Scrooge travels to Egypt, where he must figure out the secret of the Great Pyramid to be the first to lay eyes on the knife of its builder, King Khufu, and claim the treasure. As Scrooge ventures into the pyramid, he, along with the boys, must endure a myriad of traps and every enemy from mummies to jumping sarcophagi. The nephews come across a suspicious hieroglyphic on a wall, and after consulting the Junior Woodchucks' Guidebook, they translate the message as "One is three, three is two, four is one, two is four." What that means is left to Scrooge to find out for himself. As they progress further into the pyramid, the nephews come across more writing on the wall, which, according to the Guidebook, reads "He who sees the light of the sun will find the way." The boys conclude that it must be an instruction as to how to find the treasure. So Scrooge finds a mirror, and exposes it to the light of the sun to open up a secret passageway. After facing more traps and foes and finding another hidden treasure in the process, Scrooge must face the pharaoh himself in one-on-one combat to pick up the knife. If the player collects all the pieces of the map, the nephews discover that the Treasure of Clan McDuck is in Scotland, in the basement of the castle. After dealing with more of the same dangers he faced the first time he was there - including being challenged to a rematch by the sorcerer duck - Scrooge claims his clan's treasure, at long last. Once the player has collected all the treasures, Scrooge gloats in victory briefly, but his joy changes to rage, and we see why: Glomgold has kidnapped the nephews and Webby, and has also released the Beagle Boys from prison and had them steal Scrooge's entire fortune, including the treasures he collected on his adventure. Glomgold names himself the new "Richest Duck in the World" and tells Scrooge that if he wants his kids and his fortune back, he'll have to meet him on his ship. So, once onboard the ship, Scrooge reclaims his five treasures from individual Beagle Boys, and when the two rivals meet in the ship's cabin, Glomgold unveils his robot, the D-1000, and sends it to destroy Scrooge. Unlike the original game, Glomgold is seen controlling the robot from afar, as opposed to simply turning into it. After a long battle, the D-1000 is destroyed, and Glomgold plots to sink the ship and everything onboard. Scrooge sets the kids free, and the five of them manage to carry all the money bags they can off the ship, but everything they can't carry, including the five treasures, is sunk into the sea. Scrooge bemoans the loss of his treasures, but is consoled by the nephews and Webby, and admits that even with the treasures gone he still enjoyed his adventure, and that all he needs in his life to be happy is his love for his family, household staff, and friends. Just then, Launchpad appears, having managed to salvage all of Scrooge's remaining fortune and the five treasures from the shipwreck, and without even crashing the plane. Scrooge reveals that he found the Secret Treasure of Clan McDuck as well, and they all head back to Duckburg as Glomgold is swimming back to shore with no ship to rescue him. Back home, Scrooge goes on the TV news, where they're reporting about the story of his adventure. When interviewed about his success story, he calls it "a legend that will surely go down in [his] family history for generations to come."

I played the hell out of this game as a kid and I sold it for next to nothing maybe 10 years ago, never knew it was rare till now. One of my favorites. thank god for roms.
Launchpad and Gyro called him Uncle Scrooge lol. Were they even paying attention to the script? He's not everyone's uncle nor is "uncle" part of Scrooge's name. This same goof happened in the prototype for the first game where Launchpad called him that too, but the final had it corrected to "Mr. McD" at least.
This bring my old memories back, oh my God... I used to be scared of boss 40:45... I was five yo back then, and I was like wtf is that creature... How is it normal anthropomorbic duck turned into abomination liquid that could elongated his legs like that... all the bosses jumping and stuff, you're like turns into a fucking liquid!! How hideous!
1. Imagine DuckTales 2 Remastered 2. Imagine IronWorks as final level. 3. Imagine having to kick D-1000 into a vat of lava to defeat him. 4. Google T-1000.
Excellent play, if it weren't for that snake in the pyramid, it would have been a completely no-damage playthrough! Though this looks easier than the first game, you did really well.
I had moved on by this point to the TurboGraphx and SNES and Genesis, but my friends and I played the first game so much using the NES Advantage. It didn't control the way I always wanted but it felt like an arcade game. so fun
este es uno de los primeros juegos de ducktales que pude ganar, pero esos secretos y esas piezas de mapa no lo sabia, siempre hay cosas nuevas por descubrir.
This has little to do with the game itself but regarding the D-1000, I really think it should have appeared in the Darkwing Duck comics as an "evil" counterpart to Gizmoduck.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah........... They should remake Chip and Dale and Darkwing Duck... I've never played any of the Ducktales as a kid, so i hate that they made remake of a game i have never played instead of ones that i played and that are much better than Ducktales. Seriously, Ducktales 1 is very boring to play after Chip and Dale 1, Darkwing Duck and Chip and Dale 2.
I stole my copy of this game from a landfill for more than 5 years ago when it was lying in a container labelled combustible waste, (my statute of limitations for this action expired last year).
Not as popular as the first game, it was released late in the NES's lifespan, when the 16 bit consoles were all the rage, and games like this sadly fell to the wayside.
I Used to have this game... Couple of months ago I found that this game is rare and because of my not-so-good money situation I decided to sell it (I got something around 120e from it). I really hope that they will remaster this game too... I liked this bit more than first game.
i played this game when i was kid and i never ever finished game... how i was supposed to know to jump and hit at 2:37 lol But i remember i still had a fun as kid :3
Классная игра Утиные Истории я в 90 х годах чёрно белом телеке Рекорд на приставке прошёл а теперь на планшете играю в сборниках игр 90х и не удобно играть
The GB version is still pretty cheap compared to the NES version. Myself, I got lucky with this and Chip and Dale 2, got both a few years ago, $30 a pop at a local retro game shop. Luck had it, the place had both, so I saw that it wasn't expensive, so I snagged both of them.
It was fun back then when we looking for game secrets without google.
"at least we got each other. Friendship is all you really need" - easy for a duck to say when it has a whole huge vault filled with tons of gold
Truer words never been written.
holy shit... I don't remember how many times I've been looking for those damn map pieces! and never ever found all of them.

I might be in the minority but i always thought Ducktales 2 was better than the first one.
Both of the games are good, so its about personal taste. 1st game is side scrolling action game, while the 2nd game is an adventure game. 1st game is more epic, more intense, has more inspiring levels and more interesting enemies, but it also all over the place. 2nd game has better integrity and gives the feeling of authentic adventure. This has little to do with the game itself but regarding the D-1000, I really think it should have appeared in the Darkwing Duck comics as an "evil" counterpart to Gizmoduck.
They should remake DuckTales 2 with the reboot aesthetic.
Seriously, Ducktales 1 is very boring to play after Chip and Dale 1, Darkwing Duck and Chip and Dale 2.
даа, walkthrough класс) теперь я понял, что полностью ни один уровень не прошёл.
Удачи вам в дальнейших прохождениях)
Since when does Launchpad call him Uncle Scrooge?
I stole my copy of this game from a landfill for more than 5 years ago when it was lying in a container labelled combustible waste, (my statute of limitations for this action expired last year).
Kalle Nordvall I see. Do you frequent landfills often to obtain items of this sort?
Since they remastered and re-released the first game, why don't they do the same to the second game?
Not as popular as the first game, it was released late in the NES's lifespan, when the 16 bit consoles were all the rage, and games like this sadly fell to the wayside.
I Used to have this game... Couple of months ago I found that this game is rare and because of my not-so-good money situation I decided to sell it (I got something around 120e from it). I really hope that they will remaster this game too... I liked this bit more than first game.
I , have to put that this game is also my safe way to stay having fun travelling the world regardless always forever !
41:00 - Terminator 2 reference ) D-1000
I only played the first one, but completing it was big accomplishment for me haha
Haha I remember that tiny lag part at 5:30 eventhough I was maybe 5 years old when played this. Poor NES, too much graphics to handle 😢
I like that you Show the music and all other things and dont press fast Start or cut everything
Welp. This, as well as 5 other Capcom Disney games are making a comeback in the form of Disney Afternoon Collection.
The D-1000 is the T-1000
Duckminator jahjahjah gosh!
one of the few nes games i never played, such a shame
Wow, feels a lot like Darkwing Duck for NES
Didn't know this existed
i just beat this game through the disney afternoon collection great game way to easy though
the sound effects on ducktales 2 is improve than the first ducktales on nes
I just learned about this game's existence today. I feel ashamed of my self.
I loved this game gonna buy on ebay with my check next week.
i played this game when i was kid and i never ever finished game... how i was supposed to know to jump and hit at 2:37 lol
But i remember i still had a fun as kid :3

Yes. 1993, terminator ainda fazia sucesso
Need a remastering
sadly i didn't grow up with this...
*sigh*
Sometimes i really feel like i missed great games when i was young D:
Классная игра Утиные Истории я в 90 х годах чёрно белом телеке Рекорд на приставке прошёл а теперь на планшете играю в сборниках игр 90х и не удобно играть
This game was hard AF after the 3rd level
The way I play this is just using the Game Boy version on a Super Game Boy with the SNES.
It's a digital title, don't expect a drop anytime soon.
It's still worth every penny for $15
THEY MADE A DUCK TALES 2
And a Chip N Dale 2 as well.
Why is it so rare/pricy VS Duck Tales 1...?
+Coolzombi Without knowing, but 1993 was the ending of NES' era, so I suppose there wasnt sold a many units as DT1. :)
Make sense,, thanks for your answerS.
+tornthedark was it just the nes version thats expensive or the gameboy version too?
The GB version is still pretty cheap compared to the NES version. Myself, I got lucky with this and Chip and Dale 2, got both a few years ago, $30 a pop at a local retro game shop. Luck had it, the place had both, so I saw that it wasn't expensive, so I snagged both of them.
1. 1993
2. Production of carts were a scare
3. Different developer
I wish these games were available for mobile phones. I currently don't have a laptop.
Abi bayramda bana da bu oyunu hediye ettilerdi ne tesadüf.

Don't write that, both are good. And it's nostalgic....
Never had this for NES, but I played the game boy-version quite a bit
