Another tip: If you need mudballs, go to the volcano cave where you get Heatran. There's a whole bunch there that spawn regularly
I already did it but helpfull tip👍
true that. i’ve done that a good bit
Kim that's a great tip, thanks!!!
that akward cut at 5:39 was me going on to say the Heatran farm and the Farm for spoiled apricorns. But the video is so long I had to trim it down.
Sureeeeee. You got taken to school, homie.
For me, the PP items are super helpful when trying to fill out the dex entires to 10. Even more when trying to get a 100% dex. A lot of the moves required for the dex have a smaller amount of PP and using an agile/strong style move is also a frequent need. That's the only time I'm using PP though.
Just teleport back to camp, sleep, walk a few steps, and go back into battle. Way easier than wasting materials
@@Chava5369 that doesn't seem fun or efficient to me, teleporting back to camp and walking all the way back every time
@@veledwin1 that’s how I did it and with 3/4 Pokemon each time It took me 5~ minutes per team to get to level 10, and since it’s literally free there’s no downside
@@Chava5369 There comes a point where there's simply no point in having materials if you're not going to use them.
@@voidangel6973 a lot of the times I'm not just trying to get to level 10 though. And to me that still has downsides in that it isn't fun (subjective, I know) and uses up time that doesn't need to be used up
Thank you so much for the effort and diligence you put into this game and all games you posted on. From BotW, to the Pokémon series to evvverrything you did in ACNH which was extremely time consuming. All the best bud on your way to hitting 2 million subs, it’s much deserved
Amen to this! My man Austin putting in some time and work. Wish I had that kinda patience lol
heck yeah! THE TIME IT TAKES TO FIGURE all this out and then display it I assume could be taxing 🙏🙏
Ditto!!! Worth the vid, this helps immensely
He genuinely is in a whole league of his own in terms of game walkthroughs and tips and tricks. My daughter loves his Mario videos too lol
Please, what happens after a perfect pokedex?
Something I noticed with 5pp moves like fire blast and hydro pump though, if you're completing/perfecting pages you will be using those moves, sometimes dozens of times. So that's one use for them
You can also just switch the move out and then switch it back. It restores the PP.
@@slippythefrog it does not. It has already been this way since Gen 6 specifically to avoid infinite PP recycling from repeated TM abuse.
Totally right. Leppa berries will get the job done though without the need to craft ethers/elixirs.
I usually write a little notepad of 6 mons I need to do moves for, go to the fieldlands, take out the shinx and backshot bidoof/starly, check in with the prof and then update my notepad when I sleep for respawns.
@@breloommaster12 is right. But for clarification. If you replace Quick attack with tackle, it will have Quick attack's remaining PP, including if it is exhausted to 0. Putting quick attack over a new move will exaust that slot to 0 as well. sleeping replenished the non-active moves' pp.
Me at the start: “oh please, I think I know what’s worth crafting LOL”
Me 30 seconds in: “you can buy recipes…?”
lmao
My exact reaction, and when I saw the items to craft a star piece I felt regret for throwing the shards away
Rookies..
@@francisconobrega4940 *FOOL!* I clung to those because my gut told me they would be used for something.
Turns out it was dye and star pieces, but my gut was right!
I forgot the crafting guild even existed for like, four of the five major areas.
I just gotta say the overworld Pokemon's attacks look SOOOO good, like Thunder, Hydro Pump, Flamethrower, and Hyper Beam. I actually feel fear when I see those lol.
"Lmao is this alpha sliggoo just gonna use bubbl- AAAAAAAAAAAAA"
I remember I was like oh wow an alpha octillery I wonder if he’s gonna use bubblebe-OMFG THATS HYPER BEAM
@@deebo3618 HAHAHAHA I did the same thing, had to go change my underwear after that.
They real do look powerful love seeing hyper beam go off
@@redwombat1685 also love how it has it red/blue og sound effects....
3:55 - Iron spawns in fixed locations across all 5 maps, and becomes more commonly harvested from ore veins in higher tier areas. If you're gathering Tumblestones in higher level areas, chances are you're making enough iron doing so to cover not just the Jets and Gigatons, but Ultras too. Heck, my farming runs for Cherubi in the Fieldlands takes me across at minimum a half-dozen nuggets of iron just lying on the ground, and I could probably have run across more if I wasn't hard focusing on checking trees, both along the southern border of the Heartwood and through Oreburrow Tunnel. Iron shouldn't be a problem in the lategame if you're collecting what you need for the better balls anyway. Though given the route you show later in the game providing Ultra Balls as well, I concede the point; Why craft *or* pay when you can farm them up too? As inefficient as it is, any Ultra Ball gain is usable.
6:50 - Any Potions, to be fair, aren't so useful in your conditions, assuming you have the patience for all the back and forth, but for those who have more distance to travel or are in the middle of hunting for pokemon and grinding up XP, Potions save you the trips back to camp, especially in the case of Max Potions once you get pokemon in the 200+ HP club, or gods help you, a Blissey to train up if you wanna go that route. Potions aren't useless, they're a Convenience that saves you the run back to camp every 4 minutes.
8:35 - As mentioned by other commentors, some research tasks take using Low-PP moves to complete the page, and while I myself never needed the Max Ether/Elixir, I _did_ use Leppa Berries rather consistently to save the trips back to camp.
13:16 - And here I must rebuke you; Max Revives are *the* Lifesaving option in the field, and I freely admit that these spiky lil nuggets carried me through the last major fight in the game because I was swamped from the fight right before it. Without them, I may have had to restart numerous times, or simply back off and overlevel myself to withstand the endurance run that is the last fight in the game. Even in basic XP training, they and their Non-max prerequisite item are useful for covering a mistake when training new mons, most commonly throwing out a mon and getting outsped and oneshot. I personally tried to keep 10 Max Revives on me before I took on that last fight, and since then, hold onto atleast 5 while out there.
19:18 - Consider charting a route for Iron too, since you put a considerable lot of import on the two balls you can only get via crafting, perhaps a future video you can outline the best route to get the iron off the ground. Though consider noting how Shaking Veins in the Icelands have the *potential* to yield a lot of iron as well, it's probably wiser to simply focus on a route for Iron farming for the viewers short on balls and looking for the fast way to make more
Also, for Sticky Globs, if you're farming for those, You get Spoiled Apricons all the time from wild mons and Apricorn trees, not much you can do to improve those chances, but balls of mud can indeed be directly farmed from the Lava Dome Sanctum, so if you're short on those, you can get a lot of them from that cave, all over the floor. Caster Ferns are all over the Mirelands, so if you need those and don't wanna spend the money, that's the place to look.
I always fine myself going for Apricorn crops in Jubilife over anything else, and that's a good way to get a lot of Spoiled Apricorns all at once
TBH I stopped even making ultra balls. I just make regular pokeballs, gigatons, and jets. Anything too strong for a regular pokeball I would use one of the others on anyway, and gigatons are the same as ultras in battle
@@Plasmafox That's a fair decision to make as well, in terms of efficiency. Personally, I do wish that Ultra Balls and its line had a better capture chance when used during a battle to balance it out and make them more viable for things like Legendaries and Rift catches, but that's more out of a sense of making sure everything has a purpose than a genuine criticism about the game's balance.
alot of the items are fixed spawns
A little thing to note for the post game:
I do recommend a few Max Revives when fighting Volo, his 3 phases are one after the other with no breaks in between, so unless you really over leveled, I'd recommend getting some Max Revives to use during battle
My Umbreon, Garchomp, and Electavire took care of phase 1, Max potion and Umbreaon solor for phase 2 & 3. Baby doll eyes and Calm mind makes it a wall.
@@AustinJohnPlays I guess that works
Using bag items in battle 🤮
Same, I found having max revives very useful for that fight, and tend to keep a decent supply of healing items on hand to prevent backtracking to camp. It’s not so bad in the first couple areas, but navigating to some of the nooks and crannies of alabaster icelands is a huge pain.
I 1v8 his pokemon with Cresselia. She's very op in that fight. Also, lunar blessing is the most broken skill
I'd really love for you to do a "Let's Play" series of Arceus. I'm very grateful for all of your spoiler free videos, but I'd also absolutely love to be able to watch your play style and specific tips for areas as you're experiencing then
I wanna like this a few more times
@@ivosgrowth I'll help you with that
I personally really like having a good amount of the recovery items. Mainly because depending on how far out I am, sometimes fast traveling and having to rush back to where I was with Wyrdeer is just a bit too much effort for me to want to put into things haha
Same here, for me having to back to camp and then all the way back to where I was is more of a downside than using materials or money on them.
Also levels don't matter as much in this game, and I've definitely been shocked by how strong some moves seem to be despite being 20-30 levels over a pokemon. Having the items on hand is quicker and more convenient than going to camp. I wish I could do more camps in the areas.
Yep I'm right there with you
Man, I love your content. So helpful and easy to follow. That said, when you said you've only used a few potions for the entire game, I was like, "What?? I've probably used at least a hundred!" Obviously if I'm near a camp I'll go back to rest, but some maps have areas that are a decent distance from the camps, and I'd rather pop a quick potion and keep on truckin' than interrupt whatever I'm doing to make that extra trip. Also, they're useful when I'm in a time vortex and need to heal up a bit if I end up battling something there. No way I'm risking the vortex ending just so I can save a few potion materials by returning to camp.
The bit about never using revives also surprised me. I don't need them often, but on those rare occasions where my strongest Pokemon for a certain battle gets KO'd, I'll often spend the first turn of the next Pokemon using a max revive on the KO'd Pokemon, then throw them back into battle. Especially if the monster I'm fighting happens to be one of the few types I only have one truly strong Pokemon against. On a similar note, again on those rare occasions where someone gets KO'd, using a revive near the end of battle can ensure that Pokemon doesn't miss out on the XP from battle. That's not a big deal if I'm fighting a smaller, more common Pokemon, but if it's an Alpha, etc or if the Pokemon that got KO'd happens to be a level or two behind the pack, it's worth it to me to use a revive to get them that XP.
On the flip side, I never use stealth spray. I just don't need it. I feel like if you use cover and time your attacks right, you don't need to worry about that stuff. If I'm just passing by and happen to aggro something, I ignore it and keep going. If I'm trying to catch something, I use strategy in planning my route, using grass, smoke bombs, and berries as needed to get near my target (if needed, I'll catch some of the smaller monsters first - I usually need a few of them anyway to fill out their Dex entries, which is something I'm heavily focused on now in the post game).
I guess what this vid shows me is that there are multiple playstyles that work for this game. Your guides usually work really well for me, but this vid was the total opposite of how I play, and that's okay. Still appreciate the amount of thought and effort you put into it, and look forward to your next vid, to be sure. Keep up the great work!
if im covering a lot of ground and need to heal, I go to camp and rezone for the shiny re-roll on every overworld mon. I have about 20 full-odds from my play time and doing this.
@@AustinJohnPlays Definitely a good idea, esp for when you need to heal before starting out to cover lots of ground. But for me, if I need to heal while already quite a ways from camp, I'd rather just heal and keep on going than do the whole trek again. But that's clearly more of a personal preference. And, with 130 hours in the game so far, I only have three shinies (including the gimme Ponyta), but I attribute that to the fact that I tend to play a lot with the sound off while listening to other stuff, and the visual cue is one that's hard for me to pick up on, esp if flying. I honestly wish it were a bit more obvious, but that could just be me. Working on catching those last few Pokemon while also completing research pages as I go, so hopefully that and the shiny charm I'll eventually get will up the odds a bit as well.
Regardless, thanks again for the content. It really is insanely helpful.
Without stealth sprays, on mons that don't instant aggro at the slightest thing. Once you're in cover, you can do a roll(staying in cover.) They'll turn to face you. Since most pokemon seem to prefer to make 180 degree turns on average, a great deal of the time their next move is to turn their back.
Thanks for this Austin! I was always hesitant to craft some of the items that have a lot of ingredients so this is extremely helpful!
I actually have been running out of PP pretty often, but specifically when I'm trying to have a pokemon of mine do a certain move a bunch of times for the perfect dex page. I'm working on Raichu's right now, and he's gotta do 70 thunders, which only has 5 PP (and has been painful so far lol).
HOWEVER, I would 100% recommend just using leppa berries to restore the PP instead of using max ethers. You need a leppa berry to craft a max ether anyway, but the only times I've really had issues with PP are in situations where the move already has a very small amount of PP, so using a leppa berry to restore 10 pp is usually more than enough: there's no need to waste two pep-up plants to get something that maxes out the PP when it only has like 5-10 PP to begin with. Hopo berries also restore PP, but they're used in stealth sprays whereas leppa berries are only used for max ethers,
I usually write a little notepad of 6 mons I need to do moves for, go to the fieldlands, take out the shinx and backshot bidoof/starly, check in with the prof and then update my notepad when I sleep for respawns.
@@AustinJohnPlays That’s cool! I’m going to try that next time!
The lifesaver for these is to bring more than 1 of the same pokemon
Wouldn’t it be better to just do this in the battle at village or do those not count towards Dex
Also you can switch move slots mid battle and if you move the move you need to a different slot it’s PP is refreshed
Austin carrying the pokemon community with how wonderful guide. Thank you so much
I like using scatter bangs. If there are multiple Pokémon near each other, and you don’t wanna fight both, a scatter bang can split them up. They’re not incredible, but better than you think, imo. 🙂
Good point! Sometimes I try to separate smaller Pokemon from an alpha and it can be a little annoying
I buy the recipes as soon as possible because having the recipes helps to craft and that way I can spend unnecessary materials and that way leave more room for items that I actually need. The satchel space upgrades cost a lot of money to upgrade so this helps a bit.
Tip: to get caster ferns- make your rounds looking for Pokémon or just dec filling and catch or kill all carnavines you see and they will drop a few after every one.
I've been struggling with money in the game. How did I forget that I can just craft items I never use and sell them! Thanks for all of the quality videos. New subscriber here!
These guides are always super easy to understand thank you 🐸
Frog
God, Austin, you are awesome. I would never have even dreamt of putting this much effort into these great guides. I'm always sick of looking up tutorials only to find a crappy one, but whenever I see one of your videos I smile and click on the vid cause' I know you'll always have the top info. Hope you hit 2 million soon, you deserve it more than anyone.
Cool thing is you can play this game however you want. Like Austin for example says he just goes back to camp so no need for healing items.
Whereas I use healing items a ton just because I normally go out on runs until my satchel is completely full and my team is at their limit. And I’m usually using 3-4 mons that aren’t very trained up so I can fill out their dex page. Basically I push everything to the limits as much as I can before heading back.
I also go out with like 100 cake bases and mix them with the ingredients (as needed) that I’ve found on my runs, and use them on any shiny/alphas that I might really want.
I also never use stealth sprays or smoke bombs ever, whereas Austin says he uses those all the time.
Anyways what I’m getting at is it’s cool that you play this game in so many different ways and get use out of your items while somebody else might find them useless
I mean Ether and the like are good when you're trying to full out a dex entry; at times I'm having too much fun and don't want to return to camp - or the five PP moves are needed to complete certain dex entries; in my opinion it helps in the long run. 🤷🏻♂️
Why would you use ethers for 5 pp moves when leppa berry does the same and is required for ethers but either buying leppa berries and/or crafting ethers/elixirs cost a lot of money especially since it takes like a minute tops to get anywhere from base camp at the end of the game
I can understand possibly getting leppa berries to refill pp so you don’t have to return every time you need a refill but crafting them into ethers and elixirs is a waste
Can't be bothered to press 2-3 buttons to teleport to camp hu?

The mudballs in the cave on firespit Island respawn, super helpful for the sticky glob
Thank you! I just went to do your resource farming route for the first time and got a shiny Sudowoodo. :D
You’ve been helping me so much with this game, and you explain everything so clearly, thank you!
I find this really interesting. I NEVER crafted any of these items, but never felt the need to have them either. I’ve never touched them and just always sold them. Mad to see the difference in gameplay styles.
Thanks!
For the sticky globs--
Going to the volcano right next to where you fight noble Arcanine is a great way to farm mud balls. I believe there's At least 20 in there at one time.
Tip:
Sort your inventory manually in a way that the Item carousel has a Pokeball in the middle, a lure or smoke bomb to one side and a stun on the other. Quickswitching between your items will make catching pokemon much easier, and might come in handy when Shiny hunting mass outbreaks. I do Ultra ball first slot, Oran berries 2nd slot and Sticky Globs last slot of the inventory, not 3rd next to Orans, but the bottom of the page slot, that way if you get resources from catching pokemon it won't mess up your scrolling.
During mass outbreaks, I catch as many as i can without aggro-ing... when they aggro, LR to switch to the globs, I stun the 4 pokemon, ZR to switch back to pokeball, start catching, rinse and repeat until you're done! This strat made shiny hunting rotom, sneaseal and other aggros a piece of cake. When hunting water pokemon tho i prefer stealth spray + smoke bombs because its much harder to aim the globs right in water.
I NEVER talked to the craftsman. Didn't have even a slight clue he sold anything. You're killing it as always.
For the scatter bangs to work, you need to be rather far away from the Pokemon you want to scare. They don't work when you are close as far as I now. You need to be out of range for the pokemon so it cannot detect or find you.
You also shouldn't hit the pokemon you intend to scare with it.
Tremendous guide, no bull just hard facts. Great work, thank you!
Your attention to detail and hard work on this are v. appreciated. “Spreadsheets are not good for viewer retention” lolol very true! Thanks for knowing what we want!!
Excel sheets are why I am subscribed to you and no other “tips, tricks and guides” TH-camr. You do the research. Appreciate that.
I feel so silly never noticing the favorite option for the satchel, it was always triggering that when I sorted it the game kept putting potions before pokeballs lol
I’ve been wondering since day 1 if the status conditions dropping right after a battle is a massive oversight or they just didn’t care about it since there’s not many trainer battles
Battles overall are many times more difficult especially if you're in a 1v4
Depending on the outbreak also depends on the danger and the alphas in general are basically 20 ish levels above what's said due to their boosts so it's probably to make it a bit easier while adjusting to the new battle system
They’ve been nerfing status ailments since Gen 5 so this isn’t a surprise
@@pn2294 They haven't been nerfed in Arceus so much as many ha e been changed.
For anyone going for a perfect pokedex... many pokémon require a move to be seen with either a strong style or agile style and some of these moves if you are going to be using them with a style pp goes down really fast, you may not want to always fast travel to camp and sleep as some moves only have 5 or 10 pp and that doesn't last very long. Hopo berries and Leppa both restore 10pp to any 1 move. My advice is to use the hopo berries and sell off the Leppa berries or craft with the leppa berries and sell that item as you won't need them and they cost more to buy but with any berry you can get from trees.
Thank you for all the content you put out. It's always so helpful
Thank you Austin, you are amazing, the experience itself is great but you just make these games much more efficient and therefore more fun for us.
I like to use the PP restoring items only while trying to complete "use _______ move X amount of times" for the pokedex and some of the evolutions. It allows me to stay out in the field a little while longer, especially when trying to get Wyrdeer.
Side note: If the tree is shaking and you defeat/capture the pokemon that falls from it, you get double the usual output from that tree shake.
Thanks for this great guide and all the research that goes into this content. I personally feel healing items, including full heal/full restore are excellent for not breaking immersion by running to camp. I was ecstatic when I realized I didn't have to run to pokemon centers anymore. I can just craft more heals on-the-go, and even ether/elixirs! Also leaving and rejoining a fight just to remove status feels dishonorable to me.
I have re-watched this video many times at this stage, thank you so much for all the details in this video, your the only person I watch for tips and advice!
Dude, I hope you make a really nice living doing these videos, because you absolutely deserve it. Your ability to throughly, but succinctly explain/teach things is unrivaled on TH-cam. Cheers!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
As always, wonderful video!
I didn't even realize the the recipes existed until after I beat Avalugg. I just crafted and accumulated items on my journey. I made potions just fine, and I somehow collected a ton of leppa berries. So I was good.
Similar story here. I didn't realize recipes existed until I got the side quest to craft a bean cake. I was like... "there are recipes???" Cue mass crafting of star pieces and massive influx of cash... which was immediately spent on that crook who promises to teach you to arrange things more efficiently in your bag, but only teaches you a fraction of his knowledge each time so he can max out the amount of money he takes from you. That guy really is the game's true villain.
Crazy you’ve gotten almost a mil in a couple weeks! Great job, keep going!
To buy sticky globs you need to complete all the tasks for the shop, just incase anyone doesn't see them
I'm loving the smoke bombs / Gigaton ball combo to get the job done catching Alphas...problem is, I feel like a use wayyy too many smoke bombs to get in close to the Alpha. Gotta toss like 3 of them to get close enough...unless im doing something wrong 😅
One thing i dislike about gigaton balls is the weight. Once you throw a gigaton ball to a running pokemon to engage a battle it fell short. So I stopped crafting it and used either jetball or ultraball ever since
yesssss, finally someone else who sees the utility in feather balls! Everyone I chat with, I tell them I like almost exclusively use feather balls and keep hundreds on me, and they're always surprised
I hadnt realized prior to watching this that there were all those boxes and chests in that area. Lol so you learn something new everyday.
I just got my copy of Legends Arceus (too late but I had troubles) and man the game is REALLY different from the traditional Pokemon game. So this videos of Austin is really helpful. Like my favorite and amazingly similarly named Red Ranger, Austin is a hero.
Can't like this video enough!! My jaw dropped right at the beginning with "Don't craft Ultra Balls." This is going to make the game so much fun! Thanks for all of your hard work and making our lives easier!
On my 3rd playthrough and just wanted to mention that Near the Shipwrecks at cobalt coastlands is a good place for people who haven't gotten to the highlands yet
It's also really fast once you set up the extra camp
Thank you so much for the organization tip! It’s always a hassle to use my smoke bombs, so now I know to just keep a couple types of pokeballs in my inventory
Awesome farming route thank you love all the information in your videos!
Awesome, thank you! Also noticed if a Pokémon jumps out at you, you have defeat it if you want the items inside. You can't run or you don't get anything.
I think the items just land on the floor instead of automatically shooting into your inventory when you run, they should still be there if you want to go up and grab them
You also get more items from shaking objects as well. Like with trees if it's shaking when you catch/defeat the pokemon you typically get 10 of the item from the tree.
Good video but if there is anything I can think of that you could've included in this video, it would be the farm at Jubilife Village, which of the options are worth buying, if any at all.
I think that will depend a lot on your playstyle. For those of us who actually use restoring items fairly often, the health items option is worth getting. That's pretty much all I use my farm for anymore, since I have a good route for farming Pokeball materials quickly myself and don't need the materials offered by the other options. But for Austin, the health items option on the farm would be useless since he doesn't mind interrupting whatever he's doing to make extra trips back to camp to rest. I'd say try them all once to see what materials you get (or look it up online), then decide based on what those materials allow you to craft which option is most helpful for you.
Buying the materials for crafting ultraballs is $40 cheaper per ultraball compared to if you buy them from the general store ($560 to buy the materials for ultraballs, $600 for the general shops ultraball)
Thanks! I keep my inventory pretty clean. Various pokeballs, a bunch of the base potion, and the blue berry for attracting a Pokemon's attention. That's it. lol
Great video Austin. Now i know what to stockpile and what i can sell immediately. Thanks
One thing Ill add/bring up is I see alot of tubers skipping out on the moving farmables but if your trying to get materials its better to go after them because doing the battles nets you more materials then if you just ignore it so it might be better to just do the fights
Love your content, love your elaboration and love your attention to detail. Literally every single details loved
This video helped me with many things like what's the best way to use crafting items and what to use them on and many other things like what things to buy and what to sell this entire video was very helpful
I was using the farming route tonight (seen at the end of the video) and got my first shiny during one of my runs, my heart legit skipped a beat when I saw a shiny Luxio just pop up in front of me seconds after spawning into the map.
Thanks for creating crafting to make and use. It will help a lot of us that's don't speed run but exploring for fun.
Personally, I like having multiple items that use the same material because then I can just focus on one item like King's Leaves and just craft them whenever I need them
Great, concise guide as always. Thanks!
I never even bothered with the favorite feature until now, THANK YOU for this! I was lowkey struggling with the order in my satchel when I'm out catching/stunning pokemon but I just accepted it as a minor inconvenience
Austin what the hell are you talking about, exchanging grit items for their 'higher value' versions before selling them off
10 Grit Dust (50x10) =/= 1 Grit Gravel (200)
10 Grit Gravel (200x10) =/= 1 Grit Pebble (800)
10 Grit Pebble (800x10) =/= 1 Grit Rock (3000)
you sell them in the form you get them, you're wasting money otherwise, shockingly high amounts of it, especially considering you'd need to convert 1000 Grit Dust to make 1 Grit Rock.
Yea he seems to give a lot of mis info on this video. Like don't ever use 5 pp moves in this game. But to complete the dex you need to to strong versions of 5 pp moves. Ir maybe I'm crazy but how is fast traveling to the beginning of the stage and spending 10 to 15 minutes to get back to where you were, damageless no less, somehow easier than using potions and revives?
During battle, you can just press X, then L or R to get to a Pokeball and press ZR to throw it.
As you can skip the Item menu during battle, that's the reason why Recovery Items are given sorting priority over Pokeballs.
Likewise, you can swap out a Pokemon like this during battle, instead of opening the menu (provided you don't need to check their HP).
Scatter bangs are useful sometimes! If you throw them at a Pokémon it will make the other Pokémon run while the one that was hit by the scatter bang stays in one spot. Makes it easier to corner one Pokémon!
I sometimes don't like how little you keep the maps on screen but damn.. i finished the Pokedex thanks to you, so thanks as always! You are awesome
45 secs into the video and it already helped me out. I'm at 30 hours and I didn't know you can but recipes for crafting......
Tip: if you need to get friend ship with a Pokémon his route is good for that
oh my gosh I need to favorite. Its been such a pain trying to go from pokeball, to disruption item, back to pokeball, before time runs out
This is AMAZING!!!! a small request… i’m constantly running out of sky tumblestones. Could you maybe do a quickly route tutorial to follow to get a lot of them in a quick amount of time?
Tbh after the 2nd or 3rd boss I stopped crafting almost entirely, I just carry 999 aeroballs and great balls and some healing items that’s all you really need. Outbreaks give you enough money to buy anything
Ps. Do craft Star pieces for some extra money tho
Love your videos! Your wisp guide helped me find the one wisp I was missing to let me finish my Pokédex
When i was farming I found a shiny luxio so thanks Austin 😊
Fun tip:
Shiny Crates = 1 Ultra Ball + Normal Loot
Shiny Chests = 1 Nugget + Normal Loot
I don't even need to watch a video on crafting in this game but still watched this video from beginning to end for the great content.
Thanks Austin I really needed this Bc I never knew what to craft and most seemed useless anyway I’ll be sure to reference that screenshot!
That oast bit showing how you can lap the ruins to get all those boxes that will be pretty useful
No lie best TH-camr to give out these guides man so understandable
Wow this video was a lot more helpful than I would have imagined it would be
I craft elixirs because the alternative for mobile PP is carrying the leppa berries- which are throwable, meaning one more thing to scroll past when you're trying to stun and backstrike something while under fire. The 1 more craft item to manage is tolerable in comparison
...y'know, I knew status conditions were a joke in this game, and yet I had actively crafted Full Heals and even an Old Gateau, but it never really clicked until just now that I don't friggin' need those items. I could count the number of times I've used them on one nothing because I've never used them. This video has been very enlightening- not just because of that, either, I learned a lot.
I have been waiting for this video, thank you so much ur videos are the best!
This is exactly what I needed. I was confused the whole storyline why there were multiple stunning items. I thought maybe certain ones work better on certain species.
Austin you are really the best man. Thanks for all this great content and guide information
There is also a berry that's yellow. I forget the name but restores 10 PP per berry. So if you have 0 out of 20 PP, use 2 berries, and you're good
Leppa
If you need to restore pp for low pp moves, just use leppa berries. You can buy leppa berries and it speeds up the process of completing dex entries
helpful upload
my playthough was SO DIFFERENT lol
i almost never slept at the camp
i would buy ONLY potions and crafted/farmed balls only.
i ranked up to 8-9 star before electrode 😂
My favorite Pokeball is the heave ball I just love the design of it plus its all black looks sick
Thanks for the quality video. Love the big Aries energy 😂
FARMING TIP: if you beat Heatran go back in the cave, the mud balls (20) respawn. Also use the actual farm with apricorns. You get lots of spoiled apricorns from the farm.
Literally finished the Pokédex but enjoy watching these anyway so I can cry at my mismanagement:,)
Stuff like this is why I am subbed
God tier guide my guy thanks!
