I found it pretty easy to travel with my babies in the first 6 or so months after they were born. Once they started crawling and walking they were more restless and difficult to travel with as they wanted to explore. If your bag is not ready before you are 28 weeks pregnant, don’t be afraid to travel to get it when your baby is between 6 weeks and 6 months old. I’m sure the store will hold it until you can get there!
That's what happened to me! My appointment was back in August and also at 615pm at the Faubourg store. I also thought I probably wouldn't get anything as it was the last time slot of the day. I got my appointment on my 2nd/ 3rd try but before the appointment I didn't manage to buy anything since everything I wanted are out of stock/ didn't have my size. I do have quite an extensive purchase history at home but I don't think they had access to it. however, my lovely SA offered a special order which I found a little shocking!! I just got an email to say the bag is ready last month but I think they are quite flexible on when u come to pick it up, I told them I'll be back in Paris a couple of months later to pick it up and they are completely fine with it. It was such a lovely experience and I hope u'll find time to pick up soon! Congrats!
This is insane babe!!! It was a great story and it’s actually good to know that one can actually get offered an SO through the lottery appointment!! Hope they can hold the bag for you! But otherwise if things don’t work out, the person who gets the the bag you customised will be getting a very special and memorable bag!😊❤
I'm pretty sure you will have the perfect little human bean who gives you no trouble flying to Paris to pick up your bag!❤❤❤❤❤it's all going to work out!
Such a fun story! I've never heard of that happening before. Other people have said it but 1. Hermes will probably hold the bag for you for a few months and 2. Young babies are fairly easy to travel with. Making sure they are sucking on a bottle during decent helps with their ears. I'm so looking forward to the update!!
Don’t feel bad about sharing. You weren’t bragging or being shallow and it’s good to know that an appointment is required. I had no idea about that so thank you and best of luck with your pregnancy and your travels if you do decide to go to Paris. Thank you.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I used to travel with my first baby a lot and even went to Mauritius from Manchester 😂 24 hours on the go and baby was absolutely fine! All they need when they are so little it’s your milk, cuddles and smiles, which you can certainly give them during the flight! So please don’t worry about travelling with the baby! Hope you can still get your bag and good luck with labour!
I love that you are so positive about it. Loved the story! I would not worry about the timing right now. If the baby is a few months old I would totally make the trip. Babies sleep most of the day as newborns anyway. If you and hubby can go you will help each other during the trip. People are able to do all sorts of things with little babies. I have a feeling it will all work out.
Thanks for sending me the link to this video. Such a fun, crazy story. I really think if you click with the SA you have much better chance to get what you want. I’ll cross my fingers that I will have a similar experience when we go back to Paris at the end of the year. Your hubby gets an award for going all that way to pick it up. Mine would do the same for me so I feel very blessed.
Great story, Isabelle! I have a feeling that luck is on your side, so it will work out. I just came back from an international trip with my baby, we visited Italy from USA, with 12 hour flights and lots of traveling within Italy with my 6 month old and it was totally do-able. I would see if Hermes can hold your bag until baby is like 3 months old (first month and a half post-partum was just intense and I can’t imagine going anywhere). Good luck! Can’t wait to hear the update!
Thank you so much babe! Sounds like you had an amazing trip😍 I love Italy! And congrats on your new baby❤️ I definitely feel encouraged to travel with the baby soon😆
Wow! That's an amazing story. It would be a perfect honey moon and baby bag. The universe brought you the opportunity to secure the bag, the universe will give you a gorgeous, easy baby so you could go on holiday to pick up the bag. So happy for you. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
What a story! It’s really magical. I hope they will be able to hold the bag for you or transfer it to Sydney or your husband could fly with your passport and power of attorney (+certified translation to french). Ask about all options.
Thanks for sharing your story, what a story! Congrats! and good luck with hopefully picking up the bag. When my boys were babies we went everywhere including by plane while one of my boys was about 10 months but not the same distance between Australia and France. My husband and I took turns holding our son, lying him on the other for diaper changes and there was no fee for our son as we did not buy an extra seat. The customer service from Hermes seems excellent so hopefully they can hold your bag if needed so you or someone trusted can pick up your special order. Thanks for sharing babe 🤗❤️
Omg!! This really perk me up on a hectic day to be!! Such an amazing story!! I can imagine how happy u and ur hubby are when u managed to get an Hermes appt and u went further to be offered a SO!!The most interesting thing is having a French who speaks in ur own native language, how cool was that! I really hope that u can get ur honeymoon bag, to complete this magical experience. What are the odds of getting a SO during a Paris leather appt? I really think Lady Luck is on ur side Isabelle 🥰🥰
Traveling is the easiest when they are babies!!!!! We luckily did all of our traveling before our daughter was two. It was a breeze! Once she was older is became soooo much harder! I also did trips by myself during that time, hubby stayed home with the baby and my MIL helped. Don’t make any solid plans yet! Fingers crossed it works out for you!
I traveled when I was 5 month pregnant (16-17hr flight) with absolutely no issue. Just want to share that with you - congrats on your pregnancy and your SO!
Wow what a crazy story! Congrats!! I placed my SO in April 2022, and still haven’t received it yet, so I hope yours either arrives in the next 2 months or after your baby is 6 months old! 😅🎉
I thought you were going to say that the bag isn’t going to materialise but it sounds very promising. What a good story! If you and your baby are good after your 6-8 week check up and once bubba has had some early immunisation shots, you can go anywhere. It’s far easier with a baby that stays put than with one that’s wriggly and wants to move lots… I’ve done both, along with many others. You’re having a baby, it’s not a debilitating injury 😉.
Big congratulations 🎊🍾🎈 I hope it works out so you can have your bag. If not big deal like you said. Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you a healthy and safe delivery.
I loved hearing your story hope your pregnancy goes well l really hope that you can get your bag in the end you deserve it wishing you the very best thank you for sharing your story ❤
Thank you for sharing your story. It's so interesting. It is really wonderful that you can be so rational about it being just a bag. We get so obsessed about the luxury bags sometimes. It's good to step back and be grateful for what you already have and the real stuff that is happening in life. Having said that, I hope you get your bag! I did long haul to Europe with my son at 8 months and 20 months. Both times an utter nightmare even in business class!
Exactly the same happened to me at my appointment at FSH in September!! Now I’m patiently waiting for my SO and can’t wait to pick it up in Paris soon 🤍
We all love a good story! Don’t feel hesitant in sharing this kind of story, it’s informative and interesting. So happy for your unique experience and another SO! Imho, travelling with babies before weaning is better (direct breastfeeding tho, not with all the pumping fuss) since they will be sleeping most of the time
Hello Isabelle, Thank you for sharing your story. I’m following French you tubers and they relate their special orders exactly the way you did it: very casual, no purchase history, and the uncertainty of it really happening. The last person I watched could not pick up immediately her bag and her SA kept it for her several months as if it was not a big issue. So, you might hopefully be able to do that too.
That's an amazing story! I would say go for it. I personally actually find it harder to travel before giving birth than after giving birth. Kudos to you for prioritizing your baby but I think most of the time it's really okay. It usually takes 6 weeks for the body to heal and once you're mobile you would be able to travel!
Ah!! This is so exciting! I’ve actually heard that SO are taking longer than the original 1-year estimate. I’ve heard people waiting 1.5-2 years (depending on what they ordered). Regardless, everything will work out 🫶🏼
This is amazing news! Thanks for sharing! I hope you do find a way to pick up the bag - what a special experience! I was just there with family & used 7 passports to sign up across 8 days with no luck.
Hi Isabelle, I travelled a lot when I was pregnant until I was 29weeks just double check with ur dr and get a clearance from them also after baby is here you can still travel it all depends on ur tolerance of taking baby to new places but as another mom mentioned the comments travelling with 3/4 month babies is way easier than with a 2 years old. If you happen to make it there with baby message me I used a babysitting agency for few evenings so I could go for dinner with my husband but I honestly think if u get dr clearance to travel you shouldn’t pass that opportunity, wishing you good luck with everything ❤❤
Travel with Bub before they’re walking! We took our 1yo and 4yo to France and Ireland for 5 weeks! Best trip ever! I wish I took our 4yo when she was 6 months before walking etc, hope you get the bag. Surely they can post it to you given your pregnant!!
Wow! It sounds like you had an amazing time! Thank you for the encouragement, will definitely try to travel when the baby is a few months old😆 Hopefully the bag is ready sometime around then! ❤️
Wow how amazing was your experience! So lucky and I’m hoping they will be more understanding of your situation once the bag is ready. Thank you for sharing. I am going to Paris next month and will definitely try my luck with the leather appointment 😊
Thank you Maria! I really hope they can be accommodating.. So excited for your trip, it is so soon😍 Wishing you all the best for your H appointment🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
OMG! What a wonderful experience!! I've never heard anyone else getting this experience. It gives me hope! :) I hope you are able to get the bag or maybe they will make an exception for you. Good Luck!!! Thank you for sharing!! ❤
It’s interesting, I watched a YT video where the lady also got a an appointment late in the day, for the Faubourg Saint Honoré store. And she got her dream quota bag. She shared the opposite, that she had heard, that if you get a late appointment, it’s more likely to get offered a dream bag. Now, my personal experience was, I wanted an Evelyne TPM bag. I had no idea, that I was supposed to get an appointment, I never knew anything about not getting any leather goods without appointments. So, on March 11th, it was a Saturday morning, I walked in the Faubourg Saint Honoré store at around 10:50 a.m. I was greeted by a lady who asked how she could help me. I answered that I would love to buy a Mini Evelyne bag and she said, that all the SAs were busy, she wouldn’t know if they had any stock, but if I could come back in 30 minutes, somebody would take care of me. I had to kill some time and I discovered a new Chanel store just on the opposite side of the Hermès store. There were no lines outside, no crowd inside, for the lovers of Chanel, just something to be mindful of. 😉 A very nice SA greeted me, we talked about the beautiful staircase with this gorgeous stone… she accompanied me to the lower level where the bags are, the store was really almost empty. I think she said it’s been open for just a couple of months, so maybe people didn’t know that. 30 minutes later I went back to Hermès, the same lady met me, she disappeared for a minute and brought another kind lady, who took me upstairs. She asked me if I had any Evelyne bags, what size and what colour they were. Then she asked what colour I was interested in, what kind of hardware and what type of leather I preferred. And that she could only show me three colours. I only mentioned the three colours I was interested in. Even though I prefer palladium hardware, I told her it wouldn’t matter, because at that point I only wanted not to minimise the options of the colours. She looked in the system and told me what colours were available ( I had to google them, because I didn’t know what shades they were and I didn’t want to waste any options). About five minutes later she brought three boxes. I must say when she opened the bag that I wanted, she seemed like she would examine me and asked me what was going through my mind. I gasped and realised I didn’t show any reaction, because I was stunned how much I loved the colour. And that’s what I said: I didn’t expect to love it so much. She seemed a bit confused, but happy with my answer. It was at this point I realised that maybe not everyone got to buy “even” an Evelyne TPM. She told me which of the colours were seasonal and that mine isn’t a regular one. I took my time with all the bags, tried them on, took pictures, but at the end I got the one I came for. It was a very, very pleasant experience and I am thrilled with my choice 😊 I understand that maybe I was on the lucky side, or maybe the Evelyne TPM is not requested as much, I don’t know.
I'm so glad you shared! Congratulation on your pregnancy! I agree with those saying it's' easier to travel when babies are small. It gets harder once they start crawling and walking for sure. See how things go and I would not at all bow out of traveling yet.
You can easily travel with an infant - it’s actually easier when under 1 year old. I did it (very long flights as well) and it was honestly pretty easy!
I was a flight attendant working up until 6 months or 24 weeks. It actually wasn't bad traveling at all while pregnant. I also had a lot of women on the plane traveling with babies and I think babies are easier to travel with than toddlers.
Girlfriend, my mother traveled a 24 hour flight with a 4 week old (me) 49 years ago. Then, when I was 8, we did it again with my 4 month old sister. Go get the bag!!! ❤❤
Omg Isabelle! I’m so happy for you! 🍾🥂 It’s so hard to predict what’s going to happen at these appointments but this is the most amazing outcome! Hopefully they can hold it for you. But if not it’s still such an amazing experience and you now know a lovely SA you click with in Paris 💗
There are things we can not control so relax. I started to fly with my babies one after 5 months and the other after 3 months and was fine. I talked with the doctor before of course and he just said that he should be feeding while the plane was taking off until it reached the altitude and landing (from the minute it started to go down in altitude). It helps the ears of the baby to compensate altitude.
What a lovely story! Congratulations for your baby and for your Hermes special order. I hope Hermes will be so kind to transfer your bag to your closest boutique, that will be an A Class customer service due to your current circumstances. In the other hand, I have 3 kids and I have travel from US to Europe since they were infants, and it is a lot easier than trying to chase a 2 years old or even on a walking stage. Sending you love dear Isabelle ✨💖
It's such an amazing crazy story! Wishing you all the best with the pregnancy and can't wait to see your bag...I believe you will be able to get it somehow.
I am from UK and I just came back from Japan. Hubby and I flew with our 6 month old for 21 hours each way (with break in between) and our baby was fine. She sat on our laps or slept on a bassinet so we didn't have to pay for her ticket (only tax). We also didnt have to entertain her. Best time to travel is 3-6m when baby has head control but not crawling. Worse time probably when they are 2 or terrible 2 as they say.
Oh!! Congrats on the good news Isabelle! New bundle of joy is really so awesome and so precious. I pray that everything goes well and work out for you hun.
What an amazing experience you had ! I’m sure everything will work out just like the entire process of meeting your SA there. But if it end up you can’t be going to pick the bag whenever it is, I don’t know if there any way of doing this. But I am based in Paris and a follower of yours since quite a while, I’d be happy to help if there is anything possible to do for it 😁
Thanks for sharing your story!!! I honestly do enjoy these type of videos. They literally feel like having a chat with girlfriends 😊 If they are able to hold the bag for a decent amount of time, I do feel you may be able to go. It’s easiest to travel with babies after they are 2months to before they start crawling (especially walking). Granted you’ll feel exhausted, but that won’t change for the next several years anyways 🤭 it’ll just be something that us mommies learn to get accustomed to 😆
Same thing happened to me, but I was only allowed to a Constance. I love the Constance so I was still happy. In wouldn’t worry too much. SO can sometimes take two years. I am sure you will be able to collect it. And travelling with a baby isn’t that hard. It’s what you make it.
Honestly, traveling with a 6-8 week old baby is the very easiest time to travel with a baby. I traveled with mine when he was 3 weeks old. It was a million times easier than traveling with him when he was 2.
This is so exciting! Congrats to you🎉 I hope they can figure it out how to send the bag to you or hope that they can hold it until you are ready! Nonetheless, if this couldn't happen, having a baby is the most amazing milestone in life & just forget about the bag! Totally understand your feeling🤰🏻Please stay healthy & wish for the best!😘♥️
Such a beautiful story! Wishing you the best, Isabelle! Hopefully they can hold your bag until such time that you are able to go and pick it up. Take care! 💕
Congrats Babe!! Hmmm..can they transfer it to your local store for verification of ID? Congrats again on the upcoming bb and the SO Bag! Sooo happy for you!
You should definitely go with the baby! I've been traveling since my baby was 50 days! Its a lot easier traveling with a baby than a toddler, even for a 16 hours flight to the US! and Congratulations for your pregnancy! :)
congrats Isabelle for both your precious baby and possible bag! regardless you get it or not you have to tell us which bag you ended up customizing! I'm a dentist as well in the States.
Congratulations! It will work out. Don’t worry. I have three kiddos and I’ve traveled on long flights with an infant, a 2 year old and a 4 year old at the the same time. It’s doable! 😂😂😂 As long as they can hold the bag for you your good! Congrats Isabelle! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for sharing your story Isabelle! I hope allis going well. I understand the long flight. We´re going the opposite way; going from Sweden to Sydney next week. I´m looking forward to see Australia in these weeks and will be thinking of you and all tips you shared in your videos. /Marie from Sweden
Let’s hope there helpful and will ship it to your nearest boutique🤞 But I travelled with my little one when she was 3 months and that was fine. Out flight was only 7 hours, but still. As people say here, before they move too much about, its not that much of a hassle 😉 Can’t wait to see your bag when you get your hands on it! 🎉
From experience I can say the best time to travel with babies is until they are under 1. They sleep most of the flight and happy to sit and sleep in their pram. Once they start walking that’s when it gets difficult cause they want to crawl or walk everywhere! I say plan another holiday to Europe and enjoy the last bits of freedom while the baby is a baby! 😊
The store has the ability to hold the bag for you. If you communicate with your SA about your difficulty with picking up they can work with you. You can also have your husband help to pick it up for you. At least that’s what I was told in the past.
Why don’t you ask them to ship the bag to Australia when it’s ready? I mean they ship stock every week/month to that part of the world. I don’t see a problem with them shipping your bag with the rest of the stock and they can contact you locally when it arrived. Since it’s a special (!) order bag, this is your bag, they not just gonna sell it to someone else in the store if you don’t pick it up. I would definitely give a try to ask them to ship to your local boutique… if you don’t ask, the answer will always be no.
I wish you would have told us exactly what kind of bag you ordered but anyway congrats on your baby and I hope you will somehow be able to pick up your custom made bag.
Agree. Much easier to travel with a baby than a toddler.
I’ve been hearing exactly that! Hopefully I can go when the baby is a few months old🤞🏼 Thank you so much for sharing your experience Sharon😍❤️
Depends on the baby. It's okay if babies can't travel.

Thank you so much babe! I really hope so🤞🏼
Interesting content. Thank you Isabelle for sharing your experience with Hermes Paris. Congratulations on scoring a specual order!🌷🌷🌷
Hello Isabelle,

It really was so casual and a lovely experience😍 Thanks for letting me know that they may be able to hold the bag for me!
As your appointment was such a good experience, believe that everything will work just fine ❤ You can do it
As a mum of 2, travelling with babies after 4 months is not hard. Best time to travel until they are toddlers🙂 very cute story ♥️
It is hard ! My daughter is 2 years old and it’s bloody hard to travel with kids! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I’ve heard!! Hopefully I can travel towards the end of the year with a 4 month old😅🤞🏼

Wow amazing story. I have ok not heard sad stories.well hopefully they will hold the bag for you
How exciting! Just seeing this video now. Any update on this? I can't wait to hear it!

Could you please do a video on how you style your Hermes scarves like the one you are wearing? It is so nice!
So excited for your trip, it is so soon😍 Wishing you all the best for your H appointment🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
congrats on baby and SO! Paris should be able to ship the bag to you!!
OMG! What a wonderful experience!! I've never heard anyone else getting this experience. It gives me hope! :) I hope you are able to get the bag or maybe they will make an exception for you. Good Luck!!! Thank you for sharing!! ❤
Congrats!!! Such good news, hopefully, everything goes out well!!!
Thanks for sharing your story. Ahhhh-I do hope you can pick up the bag! It is THE SPECIAL ORDER! 🥰 Will keep my fingers crossed!
A very nice SA greeted me, we talked about the beautiful staircase with this gorgeous stone… she accompanied me to the lower level where the bags are, the store was really almost empty.
Wow that’s a great story ..will wait to see the special bag. Congratulations
I'm so glad you shared! Congratulation on your pregnancy! I agree with those saying it's' easier to travel when babies are small. It gets harder once they start crawling and walking for sure. See how things go and I would not at all bow out of traveling yet.
What an awesome surprise! Inwould totally be hesitant too 😅 but it's so awesome when you find a great associate when doing some luxury shopping! ❤
You can easily travel with an infant - it’s actually easier when under 1 year old. I did it (very long flights as well) and it was honestly pretty easy!
This is awesome news congratulations!! So happy for you!
Wow! Isabelle! I think you are so lucky in the Hermes world! And partly I think that is because of your attitude towards peiple so the SAs love you!
Wow….two SO opportunities. How wonderful. You are blessed in many ways.
Thank you so much babe! I feel incredibly lucky for sure🥰
How crazy yet exciting! Thanks for sharing your experience and I sincerely wish that everything will turn out well for you x
Thank you so much Chantal!
Can’t they ship it to your Australia store? That’s the best option I could think of. So exiting !!!
Apparently not🥲 I was told I have to come to Paris to pick it up!
Wow that's so lovely. Perhaps you can connect with the store directly once it is ready and some kind of arrangement can be made. Best wishes ☺️
CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!!!
Aw thank you so much Ashley!
But I am based in Paris and a follower of yours since quite a while, I’d be happy to help if there is anything possible to do for it 😁
Awww thank you so much! I am hoping I have a good baby and that we can travel to Paris soon😆
Glad that you shared your story! It was very interested to learn about the appointmeny process. Hope you can get the bag. Congratulations again!
Granted you’ll feel exhausted, but that won’t change for the next several years anyways 🤭 it’ll just be something that us mommies learn to get accustomed to 😆
0mg, one of the greatest stories I have heard. Congratulations
Thank you for sharing your story it was amazing and to be honest it’s easy to fly with baby before 1yr. because most of the time they are sleeping.
Congratulations. It’s your honeymoon bag. I hope you do get your bag. It makes it even more beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Congrats 🎉😊🎈. I think it‘s gonna work out. Traveling with small babies is no big thing. Curious about the bag, all the best 🍀🍀🍀.
Such a lovely story, it made me smile❤
There are kind people everywhere, nice.
Dear maybe you can check with your Hermes local boutique if they can transfer the bag there and you can get it hopefully.
Such a beautiful story! Wishing you the best, Isabelle! Hopefully they can hold your bag until such time that you are able to go and pick it up. Take care! 💕
What a great story! Thanks for sharing, hoping your special order comes in soon. How have you been feeling?
Bad timing but i think it Will sort out. Hoppfully they hold THE bag. Maybe they can make exception and send it to australia.
The second you started the video, I knew you got special order 😊 ! However, yes a baby is more important than a bag!
Blessings on the baby!! 🥰 Definitely enjoyed the story time! Hope timing works out for you and especially with a healthy baby. Cheers!
What a great story! 😍 I hope you get to pick up the bag!
Enjoyed your Paris Hermes Story-hope you are able to pick up your special order. If not, you have a great story-and a “special order” little one!
What a crazy story!😮😮😮 I hope you can go pick it up. In my opinion, it’s easier to travel when baby is an infant rather than 2 years old :p
What a nice honeymoon surprises 😍
Oh love this Isabelle!
