Great start on the 2nd half. With the recent stretch. It is time to see if Ben Rice can keep it on. But Yank is prime to go youth, with Rizzo , Torres probably gone in next season. DJ probably will be utilities guys next year. Time to bring younger Infielders to the mix.
So happy for Volpe. Gets the key hit of the game. Somebody needs to get in his head. He looks like he has lost confident. His facial expressions look like someone not having any fun. I love Giancarlo, but your description of “he’s not a good hitter, he’s a powerful hitter.” He need. Although this season at .250 has been a rebirth. Hoping it continues.
It's extremely true. You also want to save a little pasta water before you drain it, the starch in the water helps the sauce emulsify and stick to the pasta when you add the pasta back to the sauce to finish cooking it.
Yes it's true. It's actually pretty common knowledge to be honest with you. If you read the back of pretty much every box of pasta it will recommend that you use salt to boil your water in the directions.
Glad in 2025 they are switching local rival interleague games to 3 games instead of 2 i.e. subway series. 2 game series bother me I want that rubber match. Good win for Yanks tonight let's take at least 2 of the next 3!
Inconsistency is one of the marks of an average team. No trade deadline deal will save them . What you see is what you get. No grit, no finish. Maybe next year is the new team mantra.
@@PinstripeTerritory He also pitched us 4 outs. He’s had games where he’s a fault, but that game had two opportunities to end with a W in the Yanks’ win column. Let’s put the blame where it belongs.
Blame is not a binary option. There can be more than one contributor to a loss. Holmes needs to put less people on base, and both defenders needed to make those plays
Glad I got to witness this game in person 🔥

An excellent start to the second half of the season !
DJL is just done. The only player that makes everybody a fortune teller with his 2 groundouts, gidp per game
Im sittin DJ for waldo 10 times out of 10

Ver 🐕 💩 is a great name 😂
I wish you were the manager Derek, we think alike. I always say we should use Holmes more cause of the sinker, definitely a feel pitch
Is that true, always salt your water before you boil pasta? 51 years old and learning new things everyday. Thanks Derek! Glad you are back!

Giancarlo will be 3 weeks finding his swing again. He needs to be sent on a rehab assignment to get his timing back.
The Yankees won’t do it but it would be crazy to see him striking out in Low A😂
With GC slimmer this year, maybe his return from the IL is better then it usually is. I'm just trying to be positive bc I do kinda miss em!! LGY!!!!

Stanton should be in a gooood stretching/flexibility program. He runs like a robot. He will get injured all the time having real bad flexibility.
I would trade him. People forget he strikes out a lot and he gets cold for long streches.
Verdodoo has to sit!
Verdogdoo ! Nice !!

Get IKF back from Toronto for 3rd base
Stanton will probably need at least two to three weeks of swing and miss when he comes back before he starts hitting again.
I know it’s not good to be moving players around the batting order. But we need Austin Wells to hit 4th after Judge.
"Psychic readings🔮 available! $900 a pop!" Derek gonna be a millionaire in no time! 🎉😂🎉
Bring in "Cardiac Clay"???? Bro, are you high, LoL?? We needed to see a win tonight, not an up-down nail biter... 😅🎉
I know he is having an off year, but how about the portly fella, D.Bednar of the Pirates, our triple A team?
DJ shouldn't be playing or on the roster anymore he hasn't been good in like 3 years.
And just a thought. How about we trade Gleyber to the Fish for AJ Puk? Big boy, left handed pitcher🤷🏻♂️.
Might be time to say goodbye to DJ.
Yankees lost to Orioles because Volpe and little bit of Verdugo not Holmes.
So Holmes wasn’t at fault at all? Holmes didn’t load the bases and walk multiple guys? Come on, you know better than that.
