I am a faithful admirer of this channel, in which I both appreciate the superb quality of the versions, which are truly referential, and your wise introductory comments on both the works and its interpreter(s). I would like to know what do you think about Daniel Barenboim's interpretations, particularly as a conductor, of the great romantic works of the German tradition. Are some of them referential?
A truly remarkable performance of this beautiful (and very well known) piano concerto number 11 by FJ Haydn, with A.Benedetti Michelangeli and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Quality of the audio is superb. The piano sounds crystal clear, diaphanous, heavenly. An experience. Thanks Classical Music for uploading.
I'm pretty sure there are some moments where Michelangeli plays the same notes unissono with both hands, but my Peters edition indicates only one hand, (1'44-2'08) (5'23-5'45)

The cadenzas by the late and great Nino Rota on the 4th Piano Concerto are an unexpected wonderful treat!

You can hardly see Michelangeli's fingers move at all when he perform this concerto. It is like magic !

MICHELANGELI ❤❤❤
Genial 👌🏼

When compared to Eliso Virsaladze's version, this one sounds like a bad joke.
The piano sounds terrible and the sound is completely out of balance.
