@@ronnieburton9593 Oh man that's just so cool. Do you still have it ? We know for a fact that the perfect sound we are getting is post-processed, but GMS did make some amazing kits. Happy for you!
This groove so hard. Not only the drums but also the organ and bass. All the instruments glue together perfectly. This live is pure music. What a journey
I know it's a 'Drummers' Festival, but this is Music, Drummers don't play by themselves, Nathaniel really demonstrates that! Thank you guys for the Music! Thank you Milan for posting and the musicians for sharing their craft and musicianship!
After seeing at least 1 billion drum video's in 49 years, I think this is my number one in taste, groove, musicianship etc. Mr. Townsley and band (and poster!), thanks for this!
You don't know how much I've searched for this! Saw a cut out from it on a friend's laptop and the video was named Lesson. This was 2010 (12 years ago). I have searched for this ever since. I'm beyond glad I found it.
This is what I'm talkin bout right here. Too many new and young drummers overplay everything. People don't wanna keep it simple and let it ride out anymore.
I just love and appreciate such a deepfelt groove, knowing it's flesh and blood with a pulse, and not a cold machine. Proof to me that music derives from a throbbing warm heart, and not from a cold CPU. Check that out Sony and All you mighty companies, in it just for the buck.
i love that he dont mute his toms to much he let the drums speak ;D awesome groove aswell really creative fills time perfect. Dont know what 2 say looks like alot of fun ;D
“He knows how to hit a cymbal” This. There are so many inquiries on what heads are used, sticks used, Tune Bot settings, etc., but the majority of the sounds comes from the players touch that they’ve developed. I’m sure the people who go to the music store to buy the same items, usually are not getting the same sound that they’ve heard drummer A or B use, and it’s because of the different playing touches. That alone is an art and not a science, which is why having the same equipment may not yield the same sound as the next drummer.
@@si1995gtnupe1997 I completely agree! A good enough drummer gets his/her desired sound by how they hit their cymbals, and not buying 30 different ones!
@paolo Aldolfo Rino that does not make you a expert on drum timing a pianist/composer should no this Nats timing is what people pay for there whole lifes and cant get it lol

One of the best performances from the 2003 MD Fest!!

YES SOME OF THESE NEW DRUMMERS THINK IN TERMS THAT MORE IS BETTER,AND WANT TO LOOK IMPRESSIVE WITH SPEED AND LOTS OF NOTES ,BUT HAVE NO TASTE AT ALL.
