Any reason why wind noise is much less (almost non-existent) on the skeleton while quite loud on the fully enclosed waterproof case? Just done my first test run with a side helmet-mounted waterproof case (on a motorbike) and wind noise, even at low speeds is really intrusive - I would have thought a skeleton would be louder, not quieter as yours was.
Amazing car and video! :D Bro, how is the backdoor of the skeleton case? - Skeleton backdoor. (only frame) - Thin and flexible film. (for touch screens) - Or hard plastic. (none touch)
Can't wait till I get my go pro hero 4 silver and thx for the upload, that's what I really wanted to know the different between this and that when I be driving n recording in the car :)
OceanStream i have the same question, i dont know it sound in between both (you can hear better than the waterproof one but not that good as the skeleton one) or just sound like the waterproof one
From a vlogging perspective, If you're using the skeleton case and it's slightly raining (like how it appears in your video), would you be worried about your gopro getting damaged from it? Cause the audio sounds fantastic. Or would you suggest using the waterproof casing and just forgetting about talking to the camera?
Camille Co In this case, i was moving forward so the water was really a problem. Plus it was a test. But in any other situation, i would record with the waterproof case and try to get my audio from another mic or camera.
I have a go pro hero I got for X'mas and it picks up so much noise when I have my hand on it all I do is hold it to blog and OMG so much noise! am I doing something wrong maybe the settings?

This video was helpful, as I'm trying to decide when to use the waterproof case. Thanks!

So what about the touch backdoor for HERO4 Silver, GoPro Touch Backpac, or HERO+ LCD?

julian vm Yeah. I still haven't found out. xD I'd imagine it'd be that way, though.
