This is great content, I’m starting my WSET level2 next month, so this is great! Thank you.

Thanks for this video. You should a live stream like this once in a while. I want to point out that aromas and flavors have to match. I can’t smell chocolate but I can taste chocolate in a wine.

So, the next live stream I want to do is something like Around the World with Sauv Blanc or Cabernet. I want to do the tasting approach but let people know in advance what to buy so they can taste along. My studio is still in shambles after the move to the new house, so I'm trying to get it done ASAP. I feel naked without a place to do the reviews...

@@WineOnTheDime Hall Cabernet Sauvignon should be one on the list. I’m personal a Cabernet Franc guy especially for Napa. I think it’s the one red wine they get right.

Thanks for the post! Question, how important is it to “match” the instructors intensity? I’m doing my level 2 next month (assuming no coved 19 issues) and I seem to be a bit more sensitive to aromas then my other tasting partners. Thanks for any advice! 🥂

If you do not match the instructor, then ask why and see if it warrants adjusting your grading. Matching the instructor is much more important for level 3. For the level 2, I would focus on learning the methodology and starting to evaluate wines in that manner. Each person has different strengths and weaknesses in their ability to smell and taste. For example, I am sensitive to oak and tertiary characteristics but I am not sensitive to volatile acidity. My wife claims I smell things in wine that she cannot.

Wine On The Dime thank you! And my wife says I smell things that aren’t there, even if it isn’t wine! 😂😂

I think it depends on the type of content that you are going to make. I would email them at through their web form at www.wsetglobal.com/contact-us. I've worked with them in the past to develop material and they were pretty cool with it.

I use their app to record tastings, but unfortunately it is a level one tasting grid.

I've seen some others shown but they don't really work well. I think it would be awesome if they combined the grid with storing your reviews.
