I mostly grow paste tomatoes, and am growing Tachi from HossTools. I got 100% germination. I’m in Oklahoma and while we have a lot of pest pressure, the heat kills a lot of plants. I even covered my Roma tomatoes last year with shade cloth, and when the heat hit in July, they still died. The Tachi tomatoes have great fruit set, and are very vigorous. We have had numerous days over 100 already, and they are fine. I have Shelby also, and they seem to be doing well also. I’m very impressed with Hoss Tools seeds, and they are coming to be a regular part of my garden.

Thanks for the recommendation! I think I will give Tachi a try next year! I'm trialing a bunch of peppers from Hoss this year too. I have been impressed by them. I think they really pay attention to the heat and the disease and pest pressure that come with it. So far so good!

Your tomatoes look great! I tend to like the black tomatoes the best, so those are what I look forward to the most. Black Krim is my favorite, and I have a few new black varieties I'm trying. Most of my plants are loaded with fruit and looking super healthy. Some have reached the top of my 6 foot trellis already! We have eaten some Summer Girl, Supremo, and 42-day tomatoes along with our cherries so far. Cherokee Carbon look like they will be blushing soon and I am really excited to try them. I'm also excited to try the dwarf tomatoes but I started them a little later.

That’s awesome! Black Krim is delicious! We’re a little behind you on the bigger tomatoes, but many are blushing now. We can’t wait to try all the new varieties you shared with us!

Your garden is amazing! Where can I get those (big, thick, strong) cages?

Thank you! Are you referring to the brown cages or gray cages?

Those are 50” x 15’ cattle panels that we cut apart with bolt cutters in about 2’ sections. Some people take 4 of those and make a square. We use 3 to create a triangle. They are extremely strong and sturdy and easy to store, but they take a lot of work to cut them.

@@kime.7285 a lot of work but you only have to build them once. These will outlive my grandchildren, whenever they come. :-)
