      So yeah, a garillion years later lol. When I first saw this build I thought this is finally something worth building out of fn pallets! I built a small chicken coup out of pallets once and said never again!!! But, maybe.....just maybe,
      anyway, nice bench and cool site. The muzac was great as well.

    That was beautiful. I especially liked retaining the cutout on the spreaders at the bottom of the legs, a nod to the material's origin.
    I also really enjoyed the music choice, and that's kind of uncommon with videos like this.

    My Best Friend Joe and I built me a 16X12X9 shed out of Pallets only took about 2 hrs. to frame then Skinned it in metal only have $1500 in it the Metal and 4X8 1/4 osb on the floor made up most of the Expense, used some 10' 2X4 for the trusses. The trick is to get the same Pallets if you can, i was able to get some Treated ones from a Mudco Company for free. Lay the pallets out on the ground as close together as you can but don't worry if it's not Square because when you lay your osb board on top of it, You use that to make it Square. Screw it down then along your edges stack your your Pallets on there side like your making a fence and Nail it we used our framing guns. then simply stack your next pallet on top and Nail. My pallets didn't have any overhang on them so it made the job easy and fast. I am very pleased with how it turned out, i have a 5 foot wide door and a Loft inside it's as solid as any tuff shed. Same size shed would cost you 3X or more from Home Depot very pleased with how it turned out. : )

    • @JackmanWorks
      @JackmanWorks  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I did! I just ended up using a 2 part epoxy just on the table tops and it soaked into the surface, hardened it up a bit and allows me to scrap glue and things like that off really easy. It was kind of just a trial, but I was very happy with the results. Here's what the final results look like: instagram.com/p/BJ1EKqjjh1Z/?taken-by=jackman_works

    this the best use of pallet wood I have seen on here so far (and I have seen a lot, not all though) if I had all the equipment and tools like you have, i would be going into the pallet wood business, I know it's probably not as easy as you make it look, with all the prep time it takes to get the wood ready to use like you did, those would make good general purpose tables for other than work benches also, they just look so good

    • @lmeza1983
      @lmeza1983 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you are right DIY is not cheap there are a lot of things that is better off buying, BUT building some stuff like furniture from scraps is a good business so buying tools is justified as long as you keep producing them with decent quality. In my opinion this workbench just needs a little bit more of sanding and painting in order to look badass.
      For instance Im slowly buying new power tools in order to make simple structures out of steel beams and wooden tables just because Im sick of plastic/store quality and cant afford the heavy ultra expensive ones.

      @keitho3133 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is kind of ironic (probably not the best word) that you need expensive tools to make stuff out of pallets, but you can't really get a good finished product without planning rough cut lumber (ie pallets) (too much gap and too warped to glue well) and the planner is the only expensive equipment used in the video (table saws are pretty cheap used and the biscuits could be left out or replaced with dowels so you don't need a biscuit jointer and clamps are pretty cheap).
