- We go back to May 19 2018 when the Queen’s grandson Prince Harry married Hollywood actress Meghan Markle, following in his brother’s footsteps of wedding someone not from the aristocracy.
From that glorious day Harry and Meghan’s relationship and their relationship with the royal family has become incredibly strained with multiple books revealing family secrets.
TalkTV brings you a special Royal Tea episode where Sarah Hewson is joined on the sofa by a number of royal experts and watchers to cast their minds back to that wonderful day and rewatch the wedding ceremony giving their exclusive reactions.

I'm with Arthur. No matter how pretty the 'spectacle' was, and how many 'firsts' there were, it all makes you cringe with disgust when you watch it now. By the way Afua, the piece of the blue dress Meghan had had sewn into the seam of her wedding dress? Harry said she wore a black sweater and blue jeans on their first date. Everything is fake with Meghan, especially emotion.

The whole wedding was a farce. Inviting celebs she didn't even know, no family, terrible dress, and then afterward, lying about being married several days beforehand! It was like a Hallmark movie! Saying the wedding was a spectacle, how UNGRATEFUL!!! She was/is a nobody, from nowhere and they made such a fuss over her, all for nothing, and then she stabs them in the back, just like she did her own family!!

When her wedding happened I felt sorry for her because her dad, former friends, and siblings were giving interviews to the press slamming her character, or threatening to crash the wedding. By the time she stepped out of the car at Eugenia’s wedding with the unbottoned oversized coat, it was obvious this woman was just as tacky, attention seeking and messed up as her brother and sister. That moment kind of validated what her brother had written in the letter to Harry. Upstaging a bride is a sign that something is not quite right.
Hardly like a Hallmark movie.....those end happy and usually fun to watch, rooting for the couple. Not the case here.

You forgot to show the bit where Meghan hit the attendant's hand as she was getting out of the car. You forgot to show how she glared at Princess Charlotte, who warily walked past her. You forgot to show the curtsey to the Queen (oh! forgot, she *didn't* curtsey). Arthur is the only presenter with integrity and I applaud him for not wanting to toast Harry & Meghan. They are traitors and were cruel to Her Late Majesty. And they continue to be cruel to King Charles. Who on earth thought this was a good idea.

The Royals were welcoming, the public was hopeful, the groom was deceived, the bride was a gold-digging, mendacious con-artist. It was a mystery to me from the beginning why they didn’t make them wait to see if she could do the work.
She came up with "I'm pregnant, we have to hurry this up". QE2 reluctantly said "I suppose I have to approve", knowing full well this was extorsion. Why they didn't have the palace's doctors do the usual physical - she probably managed to by-pass this with some lying excuse. There is no one quite as versed in lies as MM. Her sister said "lie upon lie upon lie".

My god to say Thomas Markle's heart attack was "doing everything he could not to attend the wedding" . What an awful thing to say!! We now know the real story. Megaliar purposely excluded her entire family - the Markle and the Raglands except for her mother. She invited celebrities she didn't even know.
The reason MM invited the Cluneys is so that in the event of a divorce down the line, MM has a 'woman' lawyer in her back pocket. Methane, as usual has wrongly read the room as the Cluneys don't want to have anything to do with MM. She didn't know Orca either but used her. We all know what happened there. And the only reason Doris was there was to show the world that M was a person of colour. Last week I read a story from a girl she went to school with. At her graduation, M had invited her mother. No one knew who she was and whispered had gone round that Doris was either M's nanny or maid. M never told anyone that the 'black' woman was actually her mother.

Arthur you are absolutely correct in all you say. Her dress was much too white especially for a middle aged divorcee. It didn’t even fit properly (I wonder if it was because she treated the Givenchy team so badly. ) She is a bully and even bullied Charlotte and Catherine. If Catherine hadn’t just had a baby she would not have allowed that no mark to make her cry. Considering she had this supposedly great hairdresser flown in from Paris and was wearing a fabulous tiara her hair was messy in front and nothing special at the back. When you think of some fabulous bridal hairstyles. Actually though her clothes never seem to fit properly, she’s the only woman I know who can wear designer clothes and look like she’s wearing ill fitting second hand clothes

Royal families are supposed to be the ones who preserve their countries identity, culture and traditions, they aren't supposed to destroy it for some woke 21st century hypocrites who constantly demand that the UK changes their own cultural identity , history traditions and Christianity . Throwing everything that made the english , Welsh, Scottish and the Irish identities unique to the indigenous people of those lands and their values and way of life .are now just expected to throw it all away and become obsolete and losing their connection to their lands and the spirits of their ancestors and replaced with diversity? The myth that diversity and blending different cultures and religions brings a utopia to the lands is a lie , every culture thinks they are the best in the world and it will eventually lead to history repeating itself and the indigenous people will lose their lands , souls , cultures , traditions , its christain beliefs and be replaced with the dominant culture and their religious beliefs ,history, culture and traditions.
Character is EVERYTHING! Thomas Markle Sr. never corrected his youngest daughter when he caught her lying, especially when he was single parenting. When my kids lied to me, I took them to the toilet and told them - you see this? Yes? If you lie, your word is worth "sh!t"! Yuk! Made a huge impression on young minds and they were careful not to lie to me, even if it meant it would incriminate them or others. Both my sons were elected and awarded with MVP status in their graduating year (3 years apart), as their credibility stood out from their classmates. They still get together with their former classmates, never lost those friendships and gather more as they go along; and they are professionals in their 50's. The Shakespearean adage "Unto thyself be true, then thou can'st not be false to any man" really has to be reinforced by parents. Looking at her parents, I can see how she became the false personality that she is. Her Dad was focussed on making sure she had a roof over her head and after 16 hour days, was too tired to spend time correcting her. Her mother only turned up when there was a possibility of making some money off the RF. Did you know until recently, for 5 years, Doria has been getting a lovely "allowance" from the RF? And her mouth full of "sh!t" on her daughter's Netflix documentary! And we are expecting CLASS from her daughter? NOT A CHANCE!!!!

I feel so incredibly foolish waking up in the US at 4 am for this wedding. I was so thrilled for Harry and I thought Meghan would be wonderful. Looking back I feel duped and lied to by M and H. What an evil pair of destruction. Also, she was never a Hollywood actress. She was on a cable show in Toronto, Canada.
It was an American show just filmed in Toronto likely for economic reasons. Many Hallmark movies are filmed in Vancouver, Canada area, I recognize the landmarks.

You could tell from the late gracious Queen, that she wasn’t exactly thrilled with Harry’s choice, but probably little she could do. Many saw what we all know now, it was a total sham and Harry fell for the con job like a desperate love-struck man baby.

This had resulted out of yet another rumour, that a set of diamond earrings, from the Royal Collection, had mysteriously gone missing, after being on loan to MeGain, before the wedding…
Both Harry and MeGain, had not been happy, that MeGain, was denied wearing the same tiara, which his Mother had on her Wedding Day, to Prince Charles, and perhap’s knowing that she was then forced to wear a “paste ” tiara, would have angered them both, as being untrustworthy. At the time, I remember, Haz, saying “What MeGain want’s, MeGain get’s”…. Well that did not happen… :-)
Many people had commented on her badly fitting wedding dress, which MeGain had worn on the day, which makes me think that MeGain, had even ‘pissed’ the French designer’s off, with her demand’s. (Note, that she had not chosen a British designer, for her wedding dress, in order to embrace her new life in the UK, or even contemplated a black US wedding designer).
Again, the above, is just speculation, but the warning signs were already there, as to “grifter” snake, who had infiltrated herself into the Royal Family.
I cannot help thinking, that but upon hearing about the recent fabulous Royal Christmas Celebration’s, at Sandringham, where the whole family had gathered, will have cut Harry to the core of his heart, remembering past Christmas celebrations, and now he may be questioning his decision, for his self-enforced exile to Monteshitshow, married to a now known Narcissist, and her race baiting Mother, with a “questionable” past life, being missing for many years of her young life….
I feel so much for their two mystery children, who have now been denied the experience of family both in the US and the UK, whilst growing up 😞
As an American and the furthest thing from being a Royal commentator, even I know that Diana’s sisters did NOT OFFER THE SPENCER TIARA. Come on people, get the facts straight!! That was all Meghan and Harry’s idea and it was not possible since Meghan is not a Spencer.

Harry wrote in his book that she wore pant and a black sweater. Meghan says she wore a blue dress. Who told the truth and who told a lie? They tell so many different versions of same events that it is hard to tell which story might be telling the truth.

When I first heard about them Meghan said she became close friends with Eugenie, who told her all about Harry and asked if she would be willing to go on a date with him. Their first date was at a Canadian Soho House. They changed their first date by a few weeks because Corey posted photos of a dinner party he and Meghan threw at their home after she had posted about her romance with Harry.

Strange that moments in SPARE don't correlate to what we saw before us. I don't believe Meg was nervous, she has shown us that nothing phases her. This was the future King! Rude I thought, you'd just thank him. Bishop Curry’s sermon was over the top in perpetuating a stereotype of a black pastor. It certainly was not ‘American’ as the American reporter stated. I don’t get the sense or have seen Meghan attending any church or appearing/sounding remotely spiritual. So I thought the black pastor was a ‘stunt’ by Meghan to make EVERYONE feel uncomfortable.

I flew over from Toronto for this wedding - stayed in London watched it in a hotel with about 200 other people as we sipped on champagne and had high tea. Was interviewed on Toronto radio right after the ceremony - what a fun day filled with lots of good wishes. Who would have ever thought………

I cannot believe everyone was so gullible. I called it right from the start. The engagement interview confirmed what I believed. Had a friend over for the wedding with snacks and drinks. We were both disappointed in the dress as it was ill fitting and stiff. The veil was basically a copy of the Queens. We both thought she would wear a pale colour and a delicate veil as she had been married before. The entrance was her “Sound of Music” moment she had probably manifested as an actress🤭The highlight was the Royal family’s reaction to the never ending sermon😅My friend was following twitter and the reactions were the same. All I can say is my intuition didn’t let me down and it ended exactly the way I thought.
