yea, typical Westham this year, you never know if you are goping to get Westham A or Westham B. Still Freiberg on thursday(friday morning here) so with a bit of luck they'll be up for it! COYI!@@jasonpierce-newmodelbarmy3394
Further to my message last week about the building material used, I strongly suggest getting a copy of the book "Devonport Dockyard Railway" by Paul Burkhalter. Lots of pictures that will be of good help.
Hi Jason, nice solution to cover the end with the building return, the buildings are looking very good, so much so I’m considering now making some myself for the back scene of my harbour station, more work but I do enjoy it! Made me laugh with other duties from Mrs New Model Barmy, I often have the same from Mrs Exehaven, just when I thought I would have a few hours working on the layout, lol! How many cans of primer did you use, it must have been a few! Cheers Jason, always interesting, John
This is an amazing project Jason, such a labour of love too. It looks fab✌️💜👍😊😊 BTW, may I ask, where you buy your plastikard from, it seems to have skyrocketed in price of late🤔🤔🙄🙄
Thanks Mate. You’re right the prices of Plastikard at the moment are crazy, it’s almost cheaper to buy kits, though sadly they’re never the right size!! I buy it from either a local craft store or Gaugemaster. I never buy it online as I like to see it in the flesh so that I can gauge the size of the bricks and tiles.
@@jasonpierce-newmodelbarmy3394 I agree Jason, a lot of my cheaper quality, sources have dried up for basic sheets of plain. With embossed etc, I often ignore the gauge or scale and go by what looks right. Eg, from memory, N scale (2mm) rough stone, looks like a specific type of cobbles in 7mm (that sort of approach). Same with Wills stone sheets, for 4mm, look too over scale, ideal for 7mm though and/or to make - repeatable - moulds etc😉😉 But even plain plastikard sheet has gone up, I was considering off cut uPVC pipes (local supplier) etc, warmed and flattened out for HD structures/applications. Even resin casting seems cheaper now though🤔🤔😳😳🤕
That building along the back with the clock tower looks quite majestic !
Looks great, and a nice variation on how to obscure the entrance to the layout. Thanks for taking the time to film and share this!
Very sound job. It's going to look great.
Looking good Jason, cheers Peter.
Looks great Jason
Nice work, Thanks for sharing.
Come on you Irons!
Shame it was only the one point yesterday Mike! ⚒️

It was only one large can, but I’ve nearly used it all up with just a light dusted coat!!!
